Wow. This brings back great memories. In 1982 I worked the graveyard shift at a service station (cashier). The head mechanic had a 64 Valiant coupe with a blown 426 Hemi that he raced at the track. Always loved it when he would be finishing up some late, after hrs prep work for a race and they would fire that beast up. One time I asked him why not use a more aerodynamic car? He always said it was one of the most aerodynamic cars you could drag race.

Chuck Beef Perhaps we just like honesty from people. Most of us love the car, but the truth is that it is not street legal in any state So why say it is a street car ?
can you drive this monster in any state? Man your laws are very relaxed over there!! In Australia they cops and epa would cancel the registration! Even though your driving it on the street is it legal?
it's street legal in Minnesota and some other states. it would not be street legal in some of the other more strict states like california. I have some friends in Australia and the laws there on collector cars are MUCH MUCH more strict for you guys than they are for us here in the U.S.
I was at the Gatornationals in the pits (BIL was racing). A Top Fuel car started up near us and holy smokes that thing was insane. I’d never heard one up close like that. When he revved it it was literally like a “pop.” Amazing the engines can withstand that much HP.
To all the people who play with this toy: Have you got any children? What do you prefer, having a funny time or giving your sons a cleaner world?Have you heard about climate change?Sorry for my bad English, it's a long time I don't practise it.
is it really a "street" car with those exhausts, no mirrors or signals, and that road clearance? does it even have a horn still? I'm sorry but that seems to just be a track car.
+promodracer It must be a pain in the ass to maintain this. In other video the engine was rebuild and checked. I wonder whether you can get out of your garage without rebuilding the engine again lol.
Restricted vision. Too dangerous for any street with pedestrians or bikes or other cars. If it is driven on street the driver has no respect for the safety of others.
Some guys don't let you touch their cars, this guy is taking people on test drives. That's awesome!
Fantastic build. Can't imagine the $$$$ that went into it. All those involved should be very proud of their work.

Deb Link I've seen this video several times and the comments just get sillier and sillier!People should just get over it.
I agree ... the passenger is a riot
Deb Link A fast vehicle so no suprise when that happens!Hope you are well by the way?
Deb Link I've been ok.My father was in hospital recently with gall stones.
A lot of hate and discrediting about being a street car going on here....Must be all GTR fans...
Chuck Beef Perhaps we just like honesty from people. Most of us love the car, but the truth is that it is not street legal in any state So why say it is a street car ?
Street car?
Nothing like my parents old 1968 Plymouth Valiant! Awesome video!
Gearheads dream, street cruising a pro-mod! Nice
I have to wear ear defenders in my car too. ...coz my girlfriends music is crap.
Never let anyone touch your stereo. Puss
I wear ear protection when my gf speaks
can you drive this monster in any state? Man your laws are very relaxed over there!! In Australia they cops and epa would cancel the registration! Even though your driving it on the street is it legal?
it's street legal in Minnesota and some other states. it would not be street legal in some of the other more strict states like california. I have some friends in Australia and the laws there on collector cars are MUCH MUCH more strict for you guys than they are for us here in the U.S.
+Tinman 2 Kustoms in Europe is the same as Australia... the car would get apprehended & destroyed..
+KingHortgar not in the UK it wouldn't .... unless you are specifically talking about the fuel which would be illegal on the road in the UK
+Clare Cornelio Here in Dubai....Even an aftermarket Air Intake is illegal :/
Aaron Joswin
that would explain why you never seem to see modded cars jusy super cars in dubai... don't you have dune racing though ?
how do you not like the car fumes i love the smell of car fumes
this isn't your typical car.... lol
+Tinman 2 Kustoms true but i've been in very fast cars before but nothing has over 2000hp
+Tinman 2 Kustoms hell no dude I want it
Methanol is highly poisonous!!
+Niebuhr to living thing but not to cars
I was at the Gatornationals in the pits (BIL was racing). A Top Fuel car started up near us and holy smokes that thing was insane. I’d never heard one up close like that. When he revved it it was literally like a “pop.” Amazing the engines can withstand that much HP.
Hello your mightiness you are tuned to the max, you are truly a engineer and a stylist , an artist .
To all the people who play with this toy: Have you got any children? What do you prefer, having a funny time or giving your sons a cleaner world?Have you heard about climate change?Sorry for my bad English, it's a long time I don't practise it.
+Yomismo a The kids drive diesel trucks to school and race snowmobiles when they are not racing dirt bikes.
my grandma had one just like it.
same
Toady Home yeah but hers was 4000 hp not 2500 right?
Don't be silly. 4000 hp is far too much for a Grandma.
is it really a "street" car with those exhausts, no mirrors or signals, and that road clearance? does it even have a horn still? I'm sorry but that seems to just be a track car.
Has horn, has signals has rear view mirror, has 4 mufflers. yes its low.
Is this car yours?
+Niebuhr I maintain it for owner.
+promodracer It must be a pain in the ass to maintain this. In other video the engine was rebuild and checked. I wonder whether you can get out of your garage without rebuilding the engine again lol.
Restricted vision. Too dangerous for any street with pedestrians or bikes or other cars. If it is driven on street the driver has no respect for the safety of others.
that paint is also awesome .....nice work guys!!!
Scott F yes sir the paint job is incredible!!
The valiant and the falcon i think were the best cars to modify into street rods
dam I wanted to see it go down the track or in a race...:(
Didn’t want guardrails just in case...
damm what do u do if u run out of methanol on road can it still run on petrol or would fueling need adjusting
