JBL when The Shield demolish Kane and the Outlaws: "There goes the Attitude era" 😂😂 Underrated line
Jbl was a horrible person
@@Tucj-zh1dy Didn't realise JBL had died.
Gotta mention Charles Robinson sprinting to the main event of wm 24.
I agree with Wrestlemania 22 being lost in the shuffle. Very underrated Wrestlemania with a very solid card
That was my Childhood WrestleMania. Watched it so much
I definitely have time go back and watch some of these cards
they didn't even mention how fun Shawn vs. Vince was. Vince having his crazy legs sticking out of the trash can, on a table, taking an elbow from the tallest ladder
My one and only issue with the show is Booker T's match. The 4 minute intergender squash against the Boogeyman was the shortest match on the card. The WCW legend literally had to get covered in worms before he could get his hands on the crown and the world title.
The first wrestling DVD I ever bought at Circuit City when that was still a place that existed
I think the next time they a 3 way the guys should do a spider man pointing instead of handshake
I think they should kiss
You’re 36

@@Insidejokesgamin you belong to an elder race of plant people who died out to humanity and you're just a little upset I understand.
@@Insidejokesgamin very close. I'm 34 🤣🤣
Not the first time you've started with a triple match, not the first time you've ended with a triple match, but I'm pretty sure this is the first time you've ever _bookended_ with a triple match. You love to see it
17 was a straight build up. Not just the promos and gimmicks, but it was months and months of build up. Jim Ross and Hayman were at their peak in commentary, the energy was just fire.
For me, and apparently many of us from that time period, 17 was the one wrestlemania we absolutely could NOT miss, and I am SO glad I got to experience it. I was out of my seat through half of that showing.
Only has 3 good matches though
@@slim..reaper
I disagree. TLC 2, taker vs triple h, Austin vs rock, the McMahons street fight are the obvious,
But angle vs Benoit is really good. Jericho vs regal is very solid.
A very good wrestling show. But the importance of it is what makes it the best of all time
@@slim..reaper aside from the battle royale, which was on purpose for comedy, the whole show was solid af
@@Dayv018yeah idk what dude was smoking saying that..
- jericho v regal opener for IC title
- Eddie v test for euro title (and both juiced to the mf gills lol) which is worst mens match by far and was still a class on how Eddie can carry anyone through competency
- Benoit v Angle (although essentially a week buildup and nothing more than a progression towards their backlash 30min ultimate submission ironman match)was - shocking to hear I know but was GREAT still
Then:
-most memorable hardcore championship match with raven v Kane v big show
- undertaker v HHH blood feud GREAT
- TLC 2 Most memorable tag match ever in e&c v hardyz v dudleyz with a story buildup AND progression to boot feat. Spike rhyno and Lita's revenge
- zombie Linda pop!! Shane v Vince special guest ref commissioner Foley feat. Stephanie McMahon and Trish!!
- Austin v Rock II need I say more??
With Battle Royale Chyna v Ivory for piss breaks with the rtc vs taZ and aPa along with the x-factor match on pre-show AND WCW wrestlers in crowd??
Dude smoking rock saying 3 matches lol
Luke talking about Mania 35: 'you can't put that, it's a 3 match show.'

Why do wrestling fans erase context to make points? Those two WM 10 matches may have been #1 and #2 all time WWE matches at that time on a three hour show. WM 35 was a 7 hour show with 90% of rubbish
Curiously both Mania 17 & 39 had very controversial finish for how great they are. One was the fall of greatness and the other is on his way to hit another peak wrestling time
It's easy the guy who people wanted to win won whereas 39 that didn't happen
@@bcfcfantv5339I didn't want Austin to win. Never liked him.
@@stingersplash good for u buddy I value your opinion
@@stingersplash Why, because unlike your favorite, he actually got booked well and respected in his company during the Attitude era?
We should have a TLC dedicated to the best Big show turns. The guys had sooooo many lol.
Have never rewatched it , but as a kid i remember just loving Wrestlemania 20 - the two title matches were brilliant with the right winners , Jericho -Christian , Rock n sock vs evolution , Deadman taker returning , and the actual start of Cena era
If not for the Benoit controversy it would be my favorite Mania and even with the bittersweet view I have of it now it stands out as one of the best.
How can you love it if you never saw it? 😂

@@Zjarcal oh mb I can't read
I had stopped watching wrestling for 4 years and decided to watch it by myself after playing Wrestlemania XIX on GameCube. I was pleasantly surprised how good the show was top to bottom having only slightly been aware for about a week what happened at the royal rumble. Was confused by Goldberg & Brock but saw on a message board why fans were booing and understood.
WrestleMania 40 is gonna be the first Lee Fitting, the guy who replaced Kevin Dunn, produced Mania
So much better than Kevin Dunn
@@S316839 It's genuinely insane how much better the production is.
Everyone talks about the X-Seven “my way” video package but the opening “celebration of life” video intro is ELITE!!!
Wrestlemania 22 has always been my favourite mania, the whc triple threat is awsome, edge vs foley is iconic, cena vs hhh is actually quite good, mickie vs Trish is great, such a great show
Bold choice for Tempest to put a DPW show as his #1 but I respect it.
SKKKEEEAAAAAAAWWWWOOOOOI
My Love for Wrestlemania 31 is probably my number 1, Rollins cashing in back then didn't even cross my mind, every match was good.
I might be biased, because it was my first Mania, but I absolutely adore it. Still, it's currently my #3, behind 39 and X-7.
100%. It's the most well rounded show, has maybe the greatest ending and the vibe is just immaculate throughout. Most of the babyfaces win so even with something like say Sting losing, it doesn't stink that match. Absolutely my all time favorite with 19 not that far behind.
I’m shocked no one brought up Charles Robinson hauling ass down the ramp to make the count after taker tombstoned edge 😂
Pete's list makes me realize how fans to develop their fandom in the 2010s have nostalgia for the wildest shows. 7 hour cards with 3 memorable matches and maggot projections is an entire generation's nostalgia!
Not for me haha my first Mania was 29, not ideal, then 30 and 31 were absolutely incredible, then I didn't enjoy a Mania for many years. One of my favourite WrestleMania's was actually 36 because it wasn't 7 fuckin hours
My top was the epic brother showdown of turbo jack vs turbo jake, gives me chills just thinking about it...
The disrespect to Mania 38 makes me sad
Everything Luke says about Limp Bizkit re Wrestlemania XIX is absolutely 100% correct.
Crack Addict is an awesome song
It’s so funny how Tempest and Luke look at Pete like he’s a child
In wrestling fandom, Pete is a child. He started watching in like 2012 lol
Honestly idk if I'm just being weird but it kinda gets on my nerves sometimes. Because Pete will talk about shows that might not have been incredible but hold a special place to him for being formative in his fandom or even growing up, but they will just shut him right down and laugh despite putting their own versions of shows like that for the exact same reasons
@@playingnice101 yeah it comes off kinda mean and not very inclusive
@@playingnice101I think that’s a just a common issue in the iwc, you essentially have to follow a template on what’s good and what’s bad or people don’t take you seriously. I completely agreed with his takes on both 35 and 33 as I had similar experiences for both.
I am once again asking for you guys to say your picks out loud for each number and release it in podcast form
“[WM19’s] a bit low for some people.”
“A bit high for Dan Layton.”
They’re _never_ forgiving him for Wavelength.
30 is special to me, from Kickoff to Main Event show was amazing
Mania VIII was insane
Hulk Hogan v Sid Justice with Warrior Return in main event
Roddy piper v Bret Hart
Ric Flair v Macho Man Randy Savage
Shawn Michaels v Tito Santana
The Undertaker v Jake Roberts
Etc….
Starting the day off with a great vid!
Can't wait to see how Luke finds a way to praise Raven this time
He DIDN'T ruin Wrestlemania x7
People keep forgetting that days before WrestleMania X-Seven, WWF just acquired WCW. Giving the end to the Monday Night Wars, and essentially the Attitude Era. They were at its peak.
And then 1 year later The WWF would later change to The WWE
The fact 38 didn't make it on anybody's list is crazy to me. both that and 37 are really solid Mania's
37 was a great Mania!
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. In five years, both of them will be on these guys' top 10s.
I think the Vince stuff takes away from it for them
@@FortunateKiddThat triple threat match at main event is my Favourite wrestlemania match of all time. What a Match!
37 was still during covid time. Most people like to forget about 2020-21.
wrestlemania 20 is so good it might have my favorite mania match ever with the world heavyweight title triple threat. In a vaccum that match is the standard for triple threats it’s so good
hope they do a '10 Best commentators in Wrestling' at some point, it would be interesting
THANK YOU PETE. I love seeing some love for Mania 35
I feel like Mania 38 wasn't talked about much. Most underrated Mania. Yeah the main event felt quick but you got Cody returning and had a great match, Stone Cold suplexed on the concrete, Sami and the Jackass crew, Logan Paul showed off, Bianca and Becky and the worst stunner of all time by Vince. Easily on my top 5.
I agree with Pete on Mania 35. If the biggest complaint is that there's too much Mania, that's a pretty damn good Mania
Not if there's too much filler. That Mania could have ended after Kofi-Bryan. The first half of the show was great. After that meh.

While not officially part of that era, 19 still feels like Attiude era than RA. Admittedly 21-24 as a whole was pretty sweet, though.

3:49 mania 10 is my favourite because of Bret vs open and the ladder match which is still my favourite match ever.
I've made it to one Wrestlemania in person and it was X-Seven. I think I'm still buzzing now.
I'm so happy to se 24 on everyone's list. Just like Tempest, this was my first ever PPV so it's my favorite for personal reasons, but even taking that away, it's still a great show with some fantastic moments. Edge/Taker is the most underrated match of the Streak, Flair/HBK is an emotional end to Flair's career (if you ignore what happened afterwards) and Mayweather has the best celebrity match of all time (only rivaled by Bad Bunny). Sure, it's not a perfect Mania. The Women's tag team match is pointless and the less said about the 11 second ECW Championship match (which is the only time the belt was defended at Mania) the better, but those are very minor issues on what is a near perfect show.
Mania 22 was the first ppv I ever watched and I loved it
I feel like rose-colored glasses and the poor/uneven quality of the preceding wrestlemanias have done 10 a lot of favors. Outside of the opener and the ladder match, the other seven matches on the card range from Ok to quite bad. It was definitely a better effort than the ones before it, but that was a very low bar to clear.
All that to say, not sure you can criticize Pete's choice of wrestlemania 35 (which was too long and a three match show) while having 10 as one of the best of all time (which is a two match show).
Great list from all of you guys. Glad you all picked X-7 as #1. I have a feeling 40 has potential to do better.
So happy to see 22 on here. It was the first PPV I ever watched! 2006 was a bad year overall but the good moments are really awesome! And I feel vindicated because 24 has always held a special place in my heart. What a bangin show
I still say X had the best ending. All the babyfaces celebrating with Bret while Owen looks on in absolute disgust setting up the main event scene for the next several months. Such a great ending.
Wrestlemania 22 got me back into wrestling. I'd just moved into my uni digs. I was the only one there. So i went to the big Tesco for something to do, i saw it and bought it on DVD.
I still agree with Oli that WrestleMania 30 is overrated
Oli Davis might not know crap about what constitutes a best promo of all time, but I'm actually with him on 'Mania 30: it's a 2 match show. They're INCREDIBLE matches, but the Battle Royale meant nothing, the 'Taker streak break was a shambles because the Dead Man got concussed, the Shield killing the Attitude Era is hilarious, but it's also 3 minutes. And of course the women's match is an embarrassment.
“Save for the last five minutes” huh….okay? 40 is better because of those five minutes. That literally was part of what 39 needed.
Respect for putting 22 on here. That Mania is super underrated and gets ignored too often. I can see why people may consider both 21 and 23 better shows but this Mania is great too. This my 3rd favorite Mania. So many great matches. Shawn/Vince, Trish/Mickie, Cena/HHH, Orton/Mysterio/Angle, Edge/Foley, MITB.
So happy the guys put X-7 as number one for me its the greatest Mania of all time from the opening intro to the Rock/Austin promo gives me goosebumps every time
Here I go:-
10. Mania 23
9. Mania 21
8. Mania X
7. Mania 28 (I was there)
6. Mania 31
5. Mania 30
4. Mania 40
3. Mania 39
2. Mania 19
1. Mania 17
Tempest’s rant about WM24 is actually quite moving.
Hey, WrestleTalk/Luke! I can't find the vod for the Smackdown review, did something happened ?
I was wondering that too.... 🤔
They had bad Internet Issues so had to cut it early.
The day they release it depends on what happened on that show, so anything to due with Roman/Rock/Cody would get a Saturday show just because it’s such a popular angle and people want to watch it. Since this one didn’t have it, the review will probably be out on Monday.
@neodetroit4904 oh no they did it yesterday morning live but for some reason probably what the higher post said it vanished and wasnt vodded
@@seteoku1345 oh I did not see that my bad
14:38 it is on Spotify it's just listed as a podcast by someone who uploaded it... You're welcome
Under the stuff podcast
WM X7 was just magical. There has never been a WM like it. It has possibly the greatest tag title match ever, Undertaker vs Triple H is astonishing, and people forget the 2 out of 3 falls match with Angle
The fact that 19 didn’t make the top 3 (actually top 4 the way you did it) makes me sad. Legit great show, and for me so much nostalgia as the first Mania I watched live as a fan. AND LIMP BIZKIT, TWICE.
I feel connected to tempest knowing that mania 24 was the first ppv let alone mania I’ve ever seen. Great, great show
Luke's dead right about WM17. I can totally understand if any young fans watching in hindsight thought that show was overrated, on top to bottom quality it's a middling Mania in truth, but there's a vibe about it that can only be truly appreciated if you lived through the Attitude Era.
It's the coolest feeling show any wrestling promotion has ever produced. A celebration of the only era of wrestling (EVER) that embraced the rebellious nature of it's fandom. Even Austin's heel turn, which was a dumb long term decision, compliments this show in it's own little bubble perfectly.
That's exactly how I feel. Noted, I'm 28 and didn't watch during the attitude Era. I get why people say it is the greatest of all time. I understand and respect mania x7. I really do. But to me, goddamn it's like 2 good matches and that's it
22 will always hold a special place in my heart because I was there, the only PPV I attended
The quote that the video package transcends wrestling is so true. I still get goosebumps watching it back at 38 years old 😂
Mania 19 is aggressively overrated. It has some really good stuff on it. But that gets outweighed by the bad. Taker vs A-train & Big Show, Matt Hardy vs Rey, HHH vs Booker T, tag title 3 way and the womens match are all mid or bad. And Lesnar/Angle have had way better matches.
A majority of the matches are the wrong people going over.
WrestleMania 23 is the end of ruthless, the next year wwe went pg... i love wm 23, the promos, saliva's ladies and gentleman, hbk vs cena, is just a great WrestleMania
Edit: I know that pg transition happened at July, but for me wrestlelamia 23 has everything ruthless agression era was.
I used their maths and made their collective top ten ranking...
10. WM 35
9. WM 23
8. WM33
7. WM 21
6. WM 10
5. WM 24
4. WM 19
3. WM 30
2. WM 31 AND 39
1. WM 17
I was there for 39 and yea that stage was incredible it felt like i was a kid again honestly i loved the whole card except cena theory. My high dropped after roman cody but i loved this show had a migrane halfway through day 2 but didnt stop me enjoying it. My best live experience by far.
When I think of WM, I think of WM 3. The crowd. The spectacle of Hogan/Andre, the first all time classic WM match. The undercard full of mega stars and characters. Piper/Adonis, the Brutus the Barber face turn, the Bulldogs/Harts 6-man SLAPS, Jake/Honky, just all time epic show. Doesn’t get the respect it deserves.
"Call it by its real name." You mean "WrestleMania 17," which is exactly what JR called it when he introduced the show? WRESTLEMANIA SEVENTEEN. Calling it "X-Seven" is the most cringe thing that wrestling UA-camrs do.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly. It may have been written "X-Seven" but it has always been pronounced 17. They think they are so clever, but are actually really dumb and saying it wrong.
WrestleMania X8 is my second favorite mania of all time (first time I went to a friend's house to watch wrestling)
Wow, I was just wondering “Huh, have they uploaded a best Wrestlemania TLC video?” What great timing.
Not having mania 3 on here is criminal. Most iconic match ever even if it's not 5 stars Hogan vs Andre. Then one of if not thee best match not just at mania but of all time steamboat vs savage. Hart foundation with Davis vs bulldogs and Santana fantastic. Bundy splashing the midget was hilarious.
100% agree.
In addition: Santana ripping off Slick's clothes at the end of the Koko B. Ware match. Jimmy Hart screaming when Jake the Snake drops Damian on him. Piper's first truly babyface match and the surprise birth of Brutus "the Barber" Beefcake which tied into the previous match. And even well-placed celebrity involvement with Bob Uecker, Aretha Franklin and Alice Cooper. Each contributed to the show in a positive way without detracting from it.
I said it before in another comment, W3 is wrestling perfection. Not having W3 on a top ten list of all time Wrestlemanias is like having a top ten list of all time wrestlers without Hulk Hogan. It's the best representation of the Golden Era and more importantly, the Hulkamania Era. It is the pinnacle.
I could go on... Even small moments on this show are a treasure. Mary Hart attempting to interview Miss Elizabeth: "Is it always this way?" To which Macho Man responds, "Wow, can't believe it, man, fascinating is the word of the day, and enthusiasm is where I go. Elizabeth, down that aisle!" Pure magic.
My top 10 list
10: WrestleMania 23
9: WrestleMania 21
8: WrestleMania 24
7: WrestleMania 31
6: WrestleMania 20
5: WrestleMania 39
4: WrestleMania 28
3: WrestleMania 19
2: WrestleMania X-Seven(i can recognize this as the best but i don't have that much personal attachment to it as I wasn't born yet)
1: WrestleMania 30
1:10 I was listening to this through headphones, walked out of the room and was like "Did I get a pop up ad already" at the music.
Love it when TLC gets uploaded
I watched Mania 17 and I can say its my 3rd favorite mania with 39 as 2 and 24 as 1
I live in FL and went to Mania 24 and 28. I loved Mania 24. Lots of great moments. I didn't think 28 was too bad, but Daniel Bryan barely having a match kinda set the bad tone for the day 😆 matches got better as the show went on though.
21:26 is literally my argument *against* WrestleMania 17 being the greatest WrestleMania of all time.
I understand why it’s not on the list, with hindsight it really can be difficult to rewatch, but goddamn, Wrestlemania 20 is incredible if you watch it only for itself.
The pure joy in y’all’s faces made me rewind it 10 times more the editer of this video did an awsome job of this lol 😂 love it
Excellent list lads
It’s a shock to me how a recent Wrestlemania is in my top 3 considering the top 3 has always been set in stone but yeah 39 has a debate for being the best mania ever (there would have been no debate though if Cody won, then it’s number 1 guarenteed)
Wrestlemania 39 holds special place in my heart as a kid that was born and raised in LA. I was waiting nearly 20 years for a Mania to return to LA and it even had arguably the best looking stage.
If only Cody won…it would have surpassed Wrestlemania X7
WM 5, 20, and 18 are among my favorites.
I was surprised to see 18 didn't make anyone's list.
Mania 20,21&22 don’t get enough love mainly because they’re in smaller arenas instead of stadiums
WrestleMania 6 will always be my favourite, as I was there live!
Wrestlemania 19 is so good that it has one of the worst things WWE ever done between story and match ending, and it's still a top three Mania. If Booker beats Triple H on that show, it's my number 1.
Fine, I'll say it: What Chris Benoit did does NOT change the fact that Wrestlemania XX is, to me personally, a Top Ten Mania, if not a Top Five, and this is primarily because this was an emotional show.
Cena beating Show for the US title signalling his push to the moon.
The reunion of the Rock and Sock Connection.
Eddie lying, cheating and stealing his way to victory against Angle.
The return of the Deadman and the beginning of the Streak as a thing.
One of the best Goddamn Triple Threats with Chris Benoit beating Triple H and Shawn Michaels for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The most Cathartic end to Mania with Eddie and Chris together in the middle of the ring.
WWE and World Tag titlle matches and Cruiserweight open were all middle of the road.
Victoria vs Molly Holly was barely more a match and more an angle that Molly pitched to get a women's championship match even ON THE SHOW, that according to Molly herself she had to convince management (read VINCE) to not just put on a Playboy Evening Gown Tag Team Match or something.
And then there's the bad:
The Aforementioned Playboy Evening Gown Tag Team Match.
Brock vs Goldberg, a thirteen minute waste of everyone's time that couldn't live up to the hype because Goldberg's contract was up and Brock was leaving, and they couldn't be assed to have an actual match, punctuated by Austin stunning both of them for their their trouble.
But none of that matters, because nobody remembers it for what what Eddie and Chris did on this night. They only remember it for what Chris did over one weekened three years later, and that saddens me more than anything else.
I remember it for the bad show carried by an exceptional main event it is.
@@captaintoad89 ya know what. That is valid.
Undertaker and Bray having daytime entrances at 31 should be a few points off.
17-24 is the best run they’ve ever had. All bangers

Tempest a real hogdipper for putting DPW: You Already Know as #1
I like the fact that Pete does his list according to what he felt at the time. That's a big part of it, I think. But I absolutely get behind Tempest's and Luke's more pragmatic view of it all, as well.
Still... 33 and 35, Pete... really? These are BAD Manias on all fronts.
I remember every moment of X-7, where I was and who I was with. One of the absolute perfect wrestling shows ever.
When they said “hello”, Luke sounded more like Tempest than Tempest did 😂😂😂
I was there for 24 and there was something the camera didn't catch, one of the PA's fell off the stage but didn't hurt himself, kinda gave a quick thumbs up to signal he was okay 👍
Also had big fireworks accident w/sparks flying into the crowd at the end after Taker beat Edge (similar to 33 a decade later, WWE didn't have great luck with pyro in Orlando it seemed lol). When did PA fall?
@@ajk yeah I was up high and it was able to be felt even though it wasn't flammable. The part that the guy fell was during a stage change, for the match beginning after the Hall of Fame class that year, the camera didn't catch it at home but those looking in the crowd did notice cause people were saying, "Ooh damn"
I love X because it was my first ever Mania. But never forget: they cancelled a match that was announced during the show because "the heels can't get along to choose a team captain".
35 is absolutely a top 10 Mania. If it was two nights, or if it was cut down to 3-4 hours instead of 5 and a half, it would easily be a top 5 Mania.
You should do livestream watch along of the top 3 leading up to mania this year!
WrestleMania 38 would be on my list. Guess it's not as good as I thought it was...
Yeah, I have to agree. X-7 was the peak before the fall.
Wrestlemania 22 will always be my favorite Wrestlemania of all time when I watch it on DVD I love the match the MITB match is great, Edge vs Mick Foley is insane but I love it, Rey vs Randy vs Angle is short but amazing, and Cena Vs Triple H is great. Very underrated Wrestlemania but it’s so good I love Mania 22
first WM I ever bought myself. Love it
19 is in my top 3. I feel it gets lost in the shuffle for the same reason it was so good. It was very heavily focused on the wrestling and not as much on the sports entertainment.. minus the big deal over the miller light cat fight girls
