When I was a lad, me dad had a Morris Major made in the early 1930s. It had electric windscreen wipers that incorporated a little handle so they could be operated manually if necessary.
And I believe 1920's Hollywood actress Charlotte Bridgwood is credited with making the wiper system automatic. And her actress daughter Florence Lawrence invented the TURN & BRAKE SIGNALS we all have now They were car enthusiasts in those early automobile days.
This is a really good idea. Thank you! I remember as a child our early family cars didn't have roll up windows. First car in my family with them was, I think, an Austin A40. I need to check

I wish you would do a video on roll-up side windows on cars. I've tried to discover when they first came in to use but have been unsuccessful.

Earlier Land-rovers had similar manual wipers if disconnected from electrics, think I have one somewhere. Stefan uk
