I loved those engines when I got to work on them back in 2020 on the CSXT O721 local in Miami, Florida. We had the EMD ST70AH CSXT 8901 and CSXT 8906 that day. I loved them! They are extremely quiet on the inside and they have the loudest horns ever. They have them on both ends. These engines have a Tier 4 EMD V-12 1010 Series 4 Stroke Diesel Prime Mover rated at 4,500 Horsepower! They had no problem with the 80 loaded Limerock Hoppers we pulled back to Hialeah Yard with them from Cemex Krome Quarry. There is a UA-cam video on CSX O721 Productions by my buddy Dylan Scott that posted it of us. I also have some footage of them on my camera I took of them too. I’ve good inside pictures too. Too bad CSX didn’t keep the 10 they had. I really would love to start me a locomotive leasing company. It’s reporting mark would be IHIX and I’d call it Iron Horse Industries. I work in the maritime industry now. I miss those trains though.
@@AmtrakTBL I finally found a video with one doing a self load test from the cab and you can barely start to hear the signature of what used to be the 265H motor before it was developed into the 1010J. I would kill to hear one of these with the emissions junk deleted and straight piped ... 🤣
Ohh ok cool! If I was an engineer I would not like driving those aces mostly because of the IDF functions in the locomotive. And also I saw 8901 like 6 months ago.
Just haven’t been out lately... had my wisdom teeth pulled, so I’ve been out of commission all last week, hopefully going out today or tomorrow. We’ll see!
Hey man cool catch! I'm doing a video on the ST70AH, I was wondering if I could use your footage? I'll give credit Wich each clip and put your channel in the description.

@ 00:33 that probably woke the town up 😂
I live by the railroad im light sleeper so when trains go by i hear them every night sometimes they blow the horn and it scares me sometimes
Fr 😂😂
I've never seen any CSX locos have that good of a paint job. Holy crap, nice catch.
Big Bucks!! Lookin Purdee. When they stopped, i guess you guys flipped out!?!
Engines look great and fantastic of the crew to stop like that!
Absolutely stunning looking engines and accrue that obviously enjoys their job to actually stop the train so you could take a picture that's awesome
Congrats on 5K Nick!!!!!!
Thanks bro!
AmtrakTBL np
Did anybody else notice the ditchlight malfunction at 1:01
he really liked using that horn right there...
They are actually called SD70ACe-T4
Ive only seen a tier 4 sd70ace once
nice catch
Quietest engines ever!
That’s exactly what I thought when they went rolling by me.
I thought the same thing.

Wait engineers get to pick the locomotive they drive?
Nah it’s usually assigned to them

Im watching this video after i just caught my first ST70AH he was trailing but it was still awesome to see
nice vid Nick and that's probably one of the most friendly engineers in Florida, they must have really been enjoying those fresh new units
The Bradenton Railfan that might be MR Marcus
Anybody would be enjoying these new units when they have inside a new state of the art fridge for nice cold beer!
Very cool. What a very nice crew!
8902 is leading Q008, just heard it go by MP 413 in Batavia NY!
Holy crap, these are already on the A-line in Florida? I take it that engineer must really like these new EMDs
These don't exist anymore. They were sold back to PRLX.
That K5LA melts my heart....
Where have you been lately? Haven't posted a vid in a while.
Just haven’t been out lately... had my wisdom teeth pulled, so I’ve been out of commission all last week, hopefully going out today or tomorrow. We’ll see!
Dang! Hope you can get out soon. Look out for the new engines!
Someone likes their new engine
Did that guy really stop both those engines just so you guys can get some pictures? Cool!
Quiero un ferromex así FERROMEX SD70Ace-T4
le atinaste
Amazing!
Why u ain’t ask for a inside tour
Yeah that would have been cool. Ive already been in a SD70ACe though.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they got cameras facing in the Cab. I know them ET44AHs do.
Yes I believe these engines do have cameras in the cab.
CSX be paranoid
@@AmtrakTBL Every engine is supposed to have cameras. Train crash footage etc.
Wow, that was awesome
Cool moment!
That's why I love working for HALLCON I get to meet some very awsome crews (:
That shall be my senior picture
Sick!
