    There are people who can sing well, and then there is Craig Sirianni. AMAZING!

    Love this and your understanding of the technical adjustments to suit the style. Not many can do bel canto, verismo and metal with equal expertise. Bravo

      Thank you Christina! Please check me out on Instagram. There’s not much on there yet because I just opened it but there will be! Thank you for the kind words as always. They’re getting harder and harder to come by these days lol.

    I don't believe I've ever heard a Queensryche song, but I love this. I've never heard a classical tenor sing metal either. Very cool.

    Nice job Craig! Great to see a guy crossover from the classical training demonstrate how you can apply the technique to rock. Excellent, especially for a single take :) Love it!

      High praise indeed coming from the only rock/metal style teacher who ever made these concepts clear to me!! And, as far as I can see, truly understands the physiology and application. I never would have found my way back in to my metal style top voice without all your demonstration videos and your help!

    Great Job ! Tate back in his early days studied with a opera teacher in Seattle right? The irony haha.

      Yes indeed. Seems I've come full circle. Metal (in the 80's) , opera for 15 years, now back to my roots! Thanks for watching!

    Again you nailed it Craig! I used to sing this one with my band and I always had trouble with the believe note in the chorus. Any suggestions?

    • @craigsirianni7272
      @craigsirianni7272  9 років тому +1

      Sorry, I missed your question. The "believe" is an EE vowel high in the register and as such will always be in a more "heady" or "covered" position ( because it's an EE). The catch is that you must sing it with your jaw wide open. If that EE is too narrow or collapsed in the jaw it will crack. ( especially if you try to sing it too loud). Good to hear from you!!

    Absolutely great! Now you should start a career as a metal singer! Really impressive, you don't see opera singers doing contemporary singing this well. Geoff Tate did a cover of Queen's song Innuendo, a progressive rock/ progressive metal hit from Queen's last album in 1991. On papier you would think that this would be perfect as a cover song for Geoff Tate, but people really disliked the cover, and more specially Geoff Tate's singing on it. I did not think it was bad, but the reaction wasn't good. It would be interesting to see someone of your great skill and experience sing that song, or a song from Queen's early years, The Fairy Feller Master-Stroke, that one always appeared as if it might be difficult to sing. It is not the highest song, but the expression seems quite difficult to achieve.

      Many thanks for all the kind words! Much appreciated. Currently, having 2 opera studios consumes all my time. I posted this just to demonstrate that, like all things, there is a proper technique for all types of singing. You would be surprised how many people think that these guys are just screaming by the seat of their pants. Nothing could be farther from the truth! Thank you for watching!
