Major props for adding Grey Flannel to your list. It's a masterpiece. I still can't understand all the hate it gets. It's a clean, soapy, and austere fragrance which could have easily been part of Prada's Infusion line or something like that.
I love Grey Flannel. I love fougères for there earthiness! They are instantly grounding and sober. These days they are an alpha persona though, or for the independent rebel type guy. He's not the conformist and remains sensible around b.s.
Loving the Grey Flannel inclusion. You can pick it up for around $15, it is unlike anything else, and the dry down is incredible. Spot on about the iris, but also narcissus and violet leaf, and it simmers down into this warm but spicy cedar scent.
All of a sudden I've got an urge to buy a bottle of Grey Flannel. My dad used it back in the 80s I guess, but I just never really bothered checking it out. It's dirt cheap though, you can find bottles for like less than $20 I think. There's a lot of good cheapies out there, you'd be surprised what you can pick up for just $30 or less.
Very Interesting picks Ashley ! One of my throw back faves is Boucheron Jaipur Homme . . . love it around the Autumn and Winter Holiday's. The Carnation speaks volumes to me in this one ! BTW, love your outfit !
@@prioritisingprofit i can’t explain how it smells its very masculine, has a sharpness at the beginning. Then dressy elegance bold woodsy musky masculinity. And lasts a long time
Wow, now I know why I like you. I own Grey Flannel, Zino, Caron, Encre Noire A L'Extreme, and Bentley Infinite. Plan to purchase Bentley Intense as well. All are amazing 👏 thank you for your opinion. Classic never goes out of style.
Another great video! Props to you for giving Grey Flannel a shout out! I absolutely agree that it’s a great scent that gets a bad rap. I knew, of course Encre Noire would be you’re number one. I enjoyed your story in the other video you mentioned when you used to wear it in class. Vetiver is one of my favorite notes and Encre Noire a gorgeous expression of the note in all of it’s iterations, a l’extreme, sport and the original of course. Bravo Mademoiselle Lorson! I’m curious to know your feelings on Chanel Sycamore both on it’s own and in comparison to Encre Noire. A few budget scents I really enjoy are Rasasi Daarej, PS Fine Cologne and Brut lol
Fun list, some real great ones. I'll have to get my nose on a couple of these! I'd add Dunhill Icon and Sal Ferragamo Uomo Signature as very good inexpensive scents.
Nice list. I love Lorson, she also did Gentlemen EDP by Givenchy another of my favorites outside of the two you mentioned. I have put off picking up the Caron Pour Homme. I heard it was Tom Ford’s signature for years and that fascinates me.
I'm wearing Zino right now. I need to check out Seafaring Man. Encre Noir is my absolute favorite too. I never really thought I had a signature scent, but I LOVE it. I also love my Chanel Sycomore, but it's too pricy. Great list Ashley!
You’re so chill. Very interesting choices... You have quite a refined palette and refreshingly ignore trends for the most part. Almost like you’re building your knowledge from the ground up vs zig zagging throughout. Taking time to smell the roses….
Thank you for comment! In all my reviews, I really try and focus on fragrances that first and foremost are expertly crafted and use quality materials. I have a master’s degree in perfumery and work as an apprentice perfumer so I’m not exactly building my knowledge from the ground up but agree a lot of great fragrances are often overlooked :)

Best way to describe Grey Flannel is like Dior Poison for women you either love it or hate it. Both have that potent note at the start but it really is a classic and I love it
Great List! Grey Flannel and Caron Pour un Homme are both in my top 10. I own all 3 Encre's and enjoy them all. Bentley Intense amazed me at how good it was when I first purchased. I need to try Zino now....i have hear mixed reviews, but I trust you. I enjoy Beau De Jour, and some have said Zino is similar, if that''s the case, it's a winner.
Love your channel! I’ve occasionally wondered what you were up to since last seeing you on Sebastian a few years ago. It’s nice to hear your insights - My favorite cheapie has been Oscar de la Renta Gentleman, although it’s getting harder to find. I also dig Mercedes Benz Club Black. Reminds me of another cheapie that I can’t find in the states anymore - Eau De Missions Cologne from Le Couvent Des Minimes. Best to you with your training!
Great video!!! Need to check out Bentley intense. Encre Noir will be on my porch Monday. Lastly, Grey Flannel is a masterpiece. First spray -the opening, is jarring. The dry down is magnificent. I get more compliments on this scent than any other that I wear. Been wearing this since 1984.
First off, you are a gorgeous woman. I really enjoyed your video, no crazy antics just straight up knowledge about the fragrances. I tried Grey flannel and really love it, it has a unique smell. I already wear Zino and love it. I will give the other fragrances a try. You have a new subscriber.
Omg..bentley intense for men.... actually works amazing in the summer if you spray only once. Caron....oh geah. I think you just won a subscriber....even thou6 i cant get past the grey flannel. I do love Eau de Grey Flannel though. Lol. I'm so basic😅

Thanks for another great video! So glad to see you've been posting more often recently. Would you consider filming a life update or even a whole 'get to know me' video? I pieced some information about your fragrance journey for the previous videos you've been featured in but I'd love to hear more about your ISIPCA experience and your jobs and life in Paris in general. You also mentioned you lived in Singapore in one of your recent videos. It would be wonderful to get to know you better, especially because I have a feeling your channel is gonna start growing rapidly. Have a great day!

It's always nice to know the best cheapies. I'd love to know what you think of Thalium black. I can't wait to smell one of your creations. Which notes would you use in your creation, what are your favourite notes? I hear so much good things about Bentley. Thanks for bringing hidden gems on your list it is good to stand out.
Encre Noir is my all time favorite. Its such an unique fragrance. I am in love with it. In another youtube video titled "The worst fragrance reactions ever" by Gent Scents, in comment section a lot of people me tioned "Grey Flannel" as the worst when it comes to negative reaction. But I love that scent. I bought "Bentley Intense" after listening and reading so much praise about it. But to be honest I don't like it. At least not until now. I will give it more try. Same with "Davidoff Zino" until now I dont like it but will give it more time. Rest I dont't own so can't really comment. But thanks for kweping "Encre Noir" on top.
Baldessarini Ambre used to be my go to romantic evening fragrance. I original bought a bottle in a fragrance kiosk in Berlin when it was first released (2007 i believe). My wife loved it. Wore it all the time when we were dating and to the wedding. They removed the oak moss which sunk the longevity and prices have gone up over the past three years. It was worth it when you could snag a bottle for like $30. But, I would save the money now and get maybe Halloween man x instead or even Armani code or a designer dupe of YSL La Nuit.
Would also add that Issey Miyake's Nuit d'Issey as well as Lattafa Asad both offer strong, long lasting, dark, sweet/cool weather fragrances for very moderate prices.
also, if you like Nathalie Lorson fragrances, there are Bentley Infinite Intense (which is a smoother take on Terre D'Hermes), and Sublime Nature Tonka Bean by Oriflame (which is a great gourmand for under 20$)
I last worked there a little over 5 years ago so it’s been a while. Very cool you were a customer! I still love the store and it was amazing working there.
if you have notino online shop in France, you can get Lalique and Bentley fragrances for less than 20$ when they have sales (which is once every 1-2 months)

I’d be interested in a breakdown or your thoughts on Bleu De Chanel Parfum. I liked your breakdown of the edp to the edt with Sebastian but I don’t believe I’ve heard your perspective since the parfum was released. I feel Mr. Polge added sweetness to smooth it out a lot more while at the same time he kept it balanced enough that it’s not “too sweet”

what hate does grey flannel get
is it like a common fragrance or
The John Gotti Fragrance 😂 but no fr its really a classic
Don't sleep on Grey Flannel. It is a timeless, classic, masculine scent that sets itself apart from today's overly floral male scents!
I just picked up Grey Flannel and the dry down is epic.
It smells like grandpa... I dont understand the hype.
Been using Grey Flannel since 1977, and yes I'm old but it's not too heavy.

It actually shares some of the characteristics of your top choice, Encre Noir, which is also fabulous!
