Yeah I only had a 486 with 8 meg ram. Games ran choppy at best after 1996. I'd have to take them to my friends Pentium to play my games.. I didn't play Unreal until 2001 and it already felt out of date by that time on my Xp and geforce 2 build..
I was one of them. I played Unreal 1 and Unreal Tournament in 1999 with a Matrox G200, it was such an experience! It's sad that today's games with Unreal Engine 5 are not so emotional anymore.
That's not all of the FPS games on Unreal Engine 1. There is more, like Nerf Arena Blast, first Deus Ex game and I believe there is more but they are not listen anywhere because many of them games went unnoticed.
@Danlovar It's a FPS / RPG hybrid, equal parts of both. Just like Dark Souls is both an RPG and a third person action game, and Tower of Guns is both a FPS and a Roguelite.
Why did you forget 2000's "Deus Ex"? It used Unreal Engine 1 really well, perhaps even better than some titles released later
Actually that is consider as First Person Stealth Game or maybe First Person Action RPG Game
It has worse graphics for some reason
@vx-gaming8878 it's still a first person shooter 🤓
@@vx-gaming8878 Nah, Deus Ex is very much a FPS / RPG hybrid, but still FPS.
Red Orchestra 1.
Deus Ex 1.
Duke Nukem Forever.
The wheel of time.
Are also Unreal 1 engine.
Imagine having a pc that could run games that good graphically in 1999 😮 I had pos pc’s that hardly met minimum requirements well into the 2000s

You missed Duke Nukem Forever (2001)
That was not a released game.
It is probably run by a Modification of Unreal Engine 2 known as the Duke Engine
@jojotoofor9eight766 It still has a playable build, and it got fully completed by modders. It's basically a complete game right now.

I loved playing Tactical Ops. I was also playing CS and Urban Terror for Quake 3. That was a great time in gaming.
Good old times 🥰 with my celeron 500 + tnt2 ultra
Wheel of time is a very impressive unreal engine game too 😎
Back when games were not a blurry smearing mess
You forget many games wheel of time comes to mind etc
crazy how the last game on this list has the worst looking gun I've ever seen in a video game
Rune
Good video otherwise, but the compression is horrible. It was like watching through a very greasy window.
Where are Deus Ex and Wheel of Time?
Deus Ex is an RPG.
@Danlovar It's a FPS / RPG hybrid, equal parts of both. Just like Dark Souls is both an RPG and a third person action game, and Tower of Guns is both a FPS and a Roguelite.
@@thewhyzer and Wheel of Time looks kinda like Hexen 2 with a strong sense of inventory while being an FPS.
@@Danlovar Wheel of Time is all about spellcasting. There are way more spells than Hexen & Hexen 2 have weapons (for any single class that is).
You added some games that are totally forgettable and you forgot Deus Ex and Wheel of Time.
