"Mi AX6000 vs AX3600 Speed Comparison Part 2"
In this follow up video, I will setup and perform a speed comparison between the Xiaomi AX6000 and AX3600 WiFi6 routers. I will show you how to set up the AX6000 using the 1Gbps WAN port instead of the 2.5Gbps main WAN port and pair it to the Mi WiFi App. I will perform speed tests and compare it to the Xiaomi Mi AIoT AX3600 Router using the iPerf3 Bandwidth measurement tool.
I will perform multiple device tests and I will use the new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra that supports the 160MHz bandwidth to test the speed of both the routers.

Yes you are right. it updated to the 1.0.51 version few days back. I didn't see much difference in performance, but the log says Mesh stability improvement. I did see the boot time was faster, previously it was very slow compared to the AX3600. Thanks.
Thanks for your videos on the Ax6000. Just received it yesterday and it helped me a lot to configure it. However If the download speed is definitely better around 500Mbs, the upload is very low around 50Mbs, much lower that the speed when connected on my internet provider router. Any idea ?
Please make sure its not an ISP problem. Check DNS etc. I am not sure why the upload could be slower than the ISP router. Thanks.
I am going to buy ax3600 but seems that only global version available in my country.
My questions are :
1. Does the global and chinese version have different hardware?
2. If I download and save both firmware in global and chinese to my local storage, can I switch it many times? Will it make a problem?

Thank you for this informative video, in the previous video I have said the improvement isn't much but I have decided to buy it since I am planning to upgrade to a wifi 6e device soon (mi 11 pro/ultra) in this video you showed how the speed differs and it is a big difference, also you showed how to configure using the app (I don't know Chinese so it is very helpful)

So my internet provider maxes me out at 50mbs, if I plug into the wan port that supports 2.5gbs, my speed will be better optimized with that port or I could plug into any of the lan port since my internet speed does not go pass 1gbs?
You will not see any difference and you can use either the 2.5Gbps/1Gbps WAN port. Thanks.

I was wondering whether I could buy 2 AX6000 to create a mesh WIFI network using a 2.5Gbps wired connexion between the 2 AX6000.
Would it work ? Have you tested such configuration ?
Routing would be done by another router. So I guess the mesh would be in access point mode.

Technically it should work, but I haven't tested with 2 AX6000s. But it does support mesh with Ethernet backhaul. Thanks.

my 2.4ghz wont connect .it says obtaining ip/i have no problem with 5.4 ghz

Yes you can merge the 2 SSIDs from the MiWiFi App. You can use the English MiWiFi App to set it up and control. Please check the original review video for more details on the app: ua-cam.com/video/YqyJTToN4dM/v-deo.html However the web interface will be in Chinese for now. Thanks.

Do the ax3000 and ax6000 have optical fibre ports for direct connection or only lan ethernet connector ports?

У меня такая проблема на ax6000, режет скорость до 100 мб/с, а тариф от провайдера 300 мб/с, в настройках если ставлю Скорость WAN порта 2500М или 1000М интернет вообще отключается и не работает, на 100М работает. Подскажите, пожалуйста, как решить эту проблему? В чём дело? Уже не знаю что и делать... ((

For a larger coverage, I would suggest the AX3600/Redmi AX6 instead of the AX1800. Huawei AX3 Pro is also okay for coverage but I am not sure it it is good for so many devices. However, 2500sqft is a very large space and if there are walls inside it then 1 router may not be enough. You can consider 2x AX1800 at two locations in a mesh with Ethernet Backhaul mesh Connection between the two. Thanks.

No you can not.

Hi! I've been following the steps carefully but can't seem to get past the setting up of 1gb wan connection. Whenever i connect the cable on the 1gb port, i can't continue to the miwifi web interface, setting of 1gb connection.. it just get stuck on the miwifi home page.. any tips? Thanks!

Not sure why they lag on this. Should be a simple thing to put in multiple languages with a drop menu.
Making the Multilingual FW is not difficult but I guess they are waiting it to be released globally and getting certifications from EU/FCC etc. may take time. But I agree they should make it faster. The Redmi AX5 (renamed as Mi AX1800) was released in EU long time back with a preinstalled Global FW but they have not released it to public, not sure what's stopping them. We have no choice but to wait. Thanks.

There is always a risk that the global firmware is never delivered... Notably to preserve sales in Europe.

Erm, NO. I tried two Xiaomi routers - BOTH looked very exciting, NEITHER had English settings in the router - so ultimately most of the advanced settings were unavailable to anyone who does not speak Chinese - never again. If I order a product in English language - and someone accepts my money - I expect to be able to access information in English. Strangely, Xiaomi phones and smartbands do great english - but my routers ended up in the bin.
