Join Fy Nyth on social media - mewe.com/i/fynyth ! If you are new to my channel and Fy Nyth (Welsh for "My Nest") in general, welcome! I'm Ariel. Along with my husband Clay, our dogs, cats, bees, and some poultry, we live in a tiny house on wheels in the mountains of western Wyoming and are working on setting into our own new little homestead. I've been living this lifestyle since 2014 and my wonderful partner has joined me more recently. What will you find if you follow the channel and watch the videos?
Real life here. I try to show the good and the bad. The ups and the downs. What works, and what doesn't. The parts I love (most of it!), and the things that suck. Not just the showroom version of a tiny house, but everyday life in a tiny house. Not just the romantic idea of "homesteading" or off grid life, but the everyday details of this lifestyle. We split wood for heat, fill the water tank from a gravity fed spring, and attempt to grow as much of our own food as possible between the weather and wildlife here. I hope to help others learn from mistakes and make life just a little easier for anyone else interested in pursuing a similar lifestyle.
We live in a somewhat harsh and cold climate, but enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife that we are surrounded by on a daily basis. You'll also see videos of the nature and wildlife around my home. If you are interested in my photography or purchasing a photo, I'd love if you follow that over at mewe.com/join/... or ArielCelestePhotography.zenfolio.com!

The ice crystals are enchanting!
Hi Ariel are you using the Go Pro? Choice of music is nice with this.
The dogs are 5-star, the chickens and ducks have stolen my heart, but the cats....are something else!! Keep shining, Ariel.👍🇨🇦😎❄💃📷
I agree, what a team. I’d like to know what breed that furry, wild looking cat is. I got ‘stuck’ w two cats, so they got stuck learning to travel and camp, w me for months -fall thru winter. They learned to enjoy the 5 hr drives and enjoy wilderness camping. May they both rip. They had a great life along w our 2 dogs.
Snow, snow everywhere, how beautiful it is to those who love snow😁❣️
I could sit for hours and watch steam rise off that barn roof. Thank you for another gorgeous video of your beautiful life.
This was another lovely video, thanks. The shell-less egg was remarkable.
✨❤️✨
Ariel, you create the best videos. This is one I will save and rewatch often. Almost 32 minutes of interesting scenes and beautiful vistas. Burley, the most handsome and smartest dog, has switched from sticks to logs! Living the good life in Wyoming. All the best to you, Ariel and Clay, and to those you love.
Burley truly is a handsome animal! And Clay's dog is very Senior Senator...dignified but feisty when need be!
This video is so peaceful and relaxing, thank you.
This video was the balm I needed for my frazzled soul. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing, the egg with no shell was cool, amazing that it wasn't an egg ice cube.
Beautiful video of a life being lived well. While I waited for my bread to finish baking, I made myself a mug of tea and sat down to watch.....and ultimately became so entranced that I forgot my tea entirely and even failed to hear the oven timer. The tea is cold but the bread is okay and I feel that I have visited an amazing place for just a short while. Thank you for bring us along with you.
Ariel & Clay: wagging tails; rolling (crazy) cat, must have some Maine Coon genetics; Mr. & Mrs. chicken- like a painting & other shots like an ad for icelandics; ice crystals-all amazing; Burley (?) in all shots-wood champ & photo darling; jelly eggs (!); kamakazi winter bees 🫣; your home(stead) in various shots; bird feeder (!); snow duck beaks. You two are & have created a high altitude Haven. I am amazed that you do not wear a hat! Could you comment or do a vid on the clothing you and Clay use/prefer? How is your brother doing this winter? Thank you. Charming and zen. Spring is on the wind. 🤗
What beautiful snow!! I love seeing the duck's beaks covered in snow crystals and what a feast you put out for the chickens!! The dogs and cats are such snow angels,,,especially Burley❤💛💜 As the saying goes...if one is prepared for the weather, all weather is 😍 Stay warm, be well and see ya next time👋👋👋
So many things to like about this video! Burleigh in the snow, the soft sounds of the ducks, and that hen who stuck her head out of her bucket and gave everyone the business! God is a beautiful artist no matter what season! Thanks for sharing your sights and sounds.
The magic you & your camera create makes me less cold 🥶 while watching life on your wonderful homestead…💞. So many shots I fell in love with. Velcro on your living room window sill looking in (💕🥺), the puddle of fresh sprouts for the chickens to investigate & eat, Burley nosediving in deep snow to get a chunk of wood to play with …just too many to mention. How about Miss Broody? Is she still at it? I wondered if I caught sight of her in the photos of the flock🤔
Beautiful video Ariel.
Never ceases to amaze me how sparrows are found worldwide. They don’t seem to have variations either, ours here in NZ look exactly like Wyoming sparrows!
Indeed, they seem to have taken over my tree lined chicago neighborhood chirping away year-round!
Around here that sparkly condensation is called diamond dust, I consider it one of the most beautiful things about living in an extremely cold place.
That is cold!
Just makes me feel good to see the old Tumbleweed holding strong against the temps and winds and Burley-Man loving life in the snow. And those cats! You just have to love their fluff and smug looks. Great episode of you two, the mountains of my home state, and all the critters doing their thing no matter what----and the sparrows taking advantage of any scraps on the snow. Totally heart warming, Ariel---thank you.
Thank You for sharing the no shell egg. I had no idea that was possible!!!
Thanks for sharing the snow and cold weather! Stay warm and snuggle up
Beautiful. Keeping that snow blower busy.
What beautiful scenery. I have never seen an egg without its shell. Fascinating.
Busy Burley, chicken conversation and announcements, 20:16, good friends keeping warm and crazy ducks! Michigan winters can get quite chilly but 50 below is a bit much. You, Clay and your animals adapt very well. Planting season is right around the frozen corner!
Just absolutely as close to heaven as y’all can get❤
What a fabulous life😊😊
I thought the same thing, that this feels like heaven.
Good morning Ariel! Lovely to see all the feathered and fluffies 😊 Cat person but Burley is just beautiful!! Beautiful eyes and personality.
This video was so relaxing Ariel. The music you picked was great. It was lovely watching you and Clay and all the animals going about your daily business on the homestead! ❤
Oh wow, this was so beautiful,
magical and loving. The spirit of your homestead is magnificent Ariel. I always love seeing Clay but for me, Tanna stole the show. I didn’t know she was so playful. What a sweetie pie.❤️. Thank you!!!
I returned...
Caught up in the tranquility...
I forgot to hit the like button...
As always...
Thank you both for sharing (!)
So beautiful and peaceful.❤ you are my first utube channel I subscribed to, have never been disappointed. Have been watching since you were at the old homestead and the new one now. I love this. Thank you so much 😢
Very enjoyable video with all the snow. I am surprised the chickens and ducks adapt so well to the freezing temperatures and snow.
I grew up in northern MN. I am acquainted with -20 to-30 F temps. Rock on Ariel.
One of the best ones you’ve done. Just seemed to press all the right buttons.
After watching your videos....I know I'll never live in that part of the country. Too cold for me. I love my Ohio.....four equal seasons....usually not too hot or too cold. ...a good growing season. .and good sports...your mountains are beautiful, but just not worth the long, cold winter for me.
Thank you Ariel and the whole beautiful Fy Nyth family for providing such priceless footage of beauty and atmospheres. You really have that ability to capture beauty Ariel. So calming and contemplative
I’m 66 years old and I love the pictures of the snow and the chickens and the ducks and cats and dogs but I’m too old to handle the snow that y’all have to deal with. But I also have the heat in Texas!! Best of luck to you guys ❤
The sun rising over the mountain range, beautiful!!!!! Your cats' and dogs' coats are lush and perfect for the cold weather.
I've never seen a jelly egg before and had no ideas something like that could happen. Pretty awesome.
The only time I can remember being out and active in lots of fluffy snow was many years ago...I was skiing and out of nowhere, there was a blizzard! I'd heard about white blindness but WHOA! I couldn't see my hands on my poles! Scary...but I made it! It was awesome...the shell-less egg is wonderful!
Ariel, this was so beautiful and relaxing to watch and listen to. Soothing music, beautiful animals and scenery. Thank you!
Your cats are majestic.
This is such a peaceful setting.
Peace in a chaotic world
I am in SW Iowa and I seen for the first time that glitter in the air a few days ago. The sky was blue, sun was out and I thought I was going bonkers.......lol. It was so very pretty! Thanks for sharing another amazing video Ariel! Love and Prayers to you and hubby and your medley of animals!
Enjoyed this so very much💖
How well does your solar work in this kind of weather?
I can tell you from my own experience in the mountains of NH that as long as there is sun or even bright overcast the panels continue to collect. We have found that the reflection of light off the snow also enhances the collection. We had -23F degrees a few weeks ago and then we did shut down the system to only discharge but not to charge. Had we been able to heat the shed better, where the equipment is, we could have left the system on. We are using ion lithium batteries and they shouldn't be charged when they are too cold but for whatever reason it is still safe to discharge them even during extreme cold. My husband knows more about this than I do. Also, we are still in the process of building our homestead. By the time next year we'll have a better way to keep the batteries from getting too cold.
Thank you for this information
Thanks for sharing your peace with us.
I also live in Wyoming and the snow this year is brutal but I've only had three winters to go by. Love the music and seeing the animals but had to fast forward, just to cold to live through again catch you next time
Lol, there should be a warning at the half mark about the rooster crowing into the camera microphone. Another beautiful video Ariel.
I like all of your videos, but there is something special about these. Thank you for sharing (and looking forward to a spring video!)
like seeing the cats
Thank you for another great view of where you live. I live near the coast in oregon and we got just a dusting this year coldest its been in long time . All the best
The egg without a shell is very interesting….! Beautiful animals and scenery Winter Wonderland~~
Burley is a gorgeous dog ..thanks for great video .♥️🇨🇦
I'm in the mountains of Utah with similar weather. I love it. All this moisture can only help the drought situation and fill my aquifer so the well doesn't go dry. Very nice video as usual. Your animals are so precious.
How beautiful… so nice to relax with.
Any lakes nearby where a body could go and do some ice fishing, would be brilliant if there were, love the snow and the mountain views but trees and wooded areas I could not live without, could imagine all of that landscape being wooded in the dim and distant past, maybe, till us pesky Europeans arrived with our axes and crosscut saws, could even have been some of my own distant cousins. Anyways hope Clay and your good self survive the frost-bite and us all live to see another Summer.
Thank you!
Beautiful compilation - loved the quiet piano music ✨
I love snow but my mother hated it. She was a pow in siberia in ww2 haulocost. You definately need a snow blower. I think its beautiful. Im too old to move and my kids wont move from australia. This would be my heaven. Lucky you!
So enjoyed your video today. Good to see and relax to!
Is that bee going to make it back in and survive?!
So relaxing 😌
That was so nice and relaxing! Thank you
Thank you
Glad u guys live this I like equator climates
Just curious, do you clip the ducks wings? And did the lone bee make it?
So peaceful...thank you.
Just curious why your cats can't be in your cabin. I have indoor/outdoor cats who I keep in at night and let go out during the day. I keep a small litter box in house but they never use it.
I'd love to see photos of the cats inside the house...
Your batteries are 8-10 years old now? How is the condition and performance ?
Just curious about the life span.
-18 and still no hat 🤠
Beautiful video, always enjoy. Why is chicken coop so far from house??
Poor kitty. Doesn't get to go inside of the tiny house. :(
Maybe they do not like the oyster shell bits...
I was told it is a first time layer.?. GOD BLESS.
Correction: I hate the heat we have to deal with in Texas ❤
Is that shellless egg?a result of not having enough calcium in the diet
The organ music put me too sleep. I had to skip through it actually.
Your on the right track though. The pics and videos were perfect. Bang on!
Just need to tweak your music a wee bit.
lots of nothing
