Hi Erin. You chose your family is what I hear. That is great. I chose mine too, many times. While others joined the ranks of jobs I resigned for my family. To know what it takes to work, be a good wife and mom encompasses many jobs . Even went not working we are laboring to be the best we can be. Never abandon your desires to learn and grow with your family.
I love wood for heat as well. I encourage you to get a tarp to cover your wood chunks to avoid moisture from snow and rain. Much love, respect, and prosperity to you and your children. May all of your wishes materialize in your reality. Thanks for posting your videos. They really encourage me a lot.
Your home is so beautiful! You are such a brave and resourceful woman, your children are so fortunate to have such a beautiful Mother❤️I have subscribed, look forward to watching your exciting adventure! By the way, that stove is also gorgeous!🫶🏾😻❤️
Hi Erin, I just found this video. I can relate to you, I'm in the same boat as you. My husband and I have been together for 24 years. The last six years of our relationship has been unhealthy, toxic and horrible. I brought a cheap small house for my daughter and I. The house needed cosmetic repairs and is not liveable until the repairs are completed. It's has not been easy fixing my house with no family or friends to help. My finances are small. Each day I face challenges and it's not fair. But I keep going and try to finish my house because I want to live in peace and went to start my healing journey. My daughter has anxiety because of everything that has occurred. I need to separate to start feeling better mentally and physically. I'm in constant flight or fiight. You have given me strength to keep going despite the challenges. I'm excited to see you continue working on your house. Stay strong and you are helping me to stay strong. On my tough days I think of my daughter and this too helps me to keep going. So glad I found your channel. Keep going Erin you got this!!
Oh, friend! I am so glad you found me! And I am so proud of you for doing this difficult thing to find peace for yourself and your daughter. We keep going every day because we know our children are watching us, and if, one day, our girls find themselves in an unhealthy life, I hope they've learned that they can find the path and the courage to build the life they deserve because they watched us do it. Love, strength and courage to you!!!
This video came up for me yesterday. I was so intrigued by your story. I subscribed and went back to watch your earlier videos. Your story is so compelling! I can't believe you don't have more subscribers and views . Hope you gain more quick!!!
Wow Erin !!! I'm so impressed watching you learn all those new skills and build a beautiful home for yourself and the girls. I'm retired and living happily by myself in a small cottage in a tiny town halfway up the left side of Australia and yikes it's a challenge to learn to use power tools and build stuff (luckily only small garden structures for me). Looking forward to following along on your adventures 😄
Thank you for joining me! You live in a beautiful corner of the world - I once drove from Cairns to Perth (in 5 days, I think, so I didn't get to do much exploring, unfortunately), and I just loved that stretch of Oz! Glad you found me!
He's allowed into the main house, where he can luxuriate in front of their wood stove. But he is a Great Pyrenees, so he loves cold weather and being outside very much. (Or maybe you are talking about the Jack Russell, who also lives in the main house. She doesn't love the snow, but she loves playing with my kids.)
Oh, it is so expensive! Even building it myself (though that's a bargain compared to what the professional tiny builders were charging). I was so lucky to have a one-time lump of cash, which I needed to use wisely. Without that, it would have been a very different project.

Im sure there is so much yet to see, almost a year from this video till now. I really like the wood stove!
There's going to be a house tour video in two weeks!

@@BeautifulUnschoolLife Wow!! Cairns to Perth in 5 days!! That's HUGE.I'm a slowpoke amateur landscape photographer - it would take me 5 months 🤣
@@newenergyawakening 5 months would be preferable! There's so much to see!
I am so pleased for you - Can I recommend a lovely children’s book. It’s called “ stigg of the dump “.
compliments!!! I wouldn't know how to hold a drill...
Sometimes it looks like I don't either. I don't put those parts in the videos. HAHA!!

A lot of work! A lot to be happy about.
Say the name of the bed again 🙏 please! Could u send the link? Linda Wheeler ❤️ here in Georgia!
Hi Linda! It's by a company called Naturelle. It's an organic latex topper. I've been really happy with it!
@@BeautifulUnschoolLife thanks
You’re living my dream…
Wood heat is dry so you need a pot of water on your stove
You aren't wrong! Sometimes we need THREE pots of water!
👍👏🏻🥰
Where does the dog stay? It would be so cold outside so I hope he is warm.

You should have covered your wood to keep it dry
Cover your wood with a tarp
I would love to the same but I lack $$$$
Oh, it is so expensive! Even building it myself (though that's a bargain compared to what the professional tiny builders were charging). I was so lucky to have a one-time lump of cash, which I needed to use wisely. Without that, it would have been a very different project.
Need a fan on your stove
You aren't wrong!
Just remember to vent your home, you can get carbon monoxide poisoning from burning wood.
Get two axes. Backup.
Not a bad idea!
Gotta get cleaned up. Bye
