It’s always interesting to me when people tell Gabby she talks so fast because I sometimes watch her videos on double speed and still understand her 😄 and english isn’t my first language.

I am reading mostly backlist titles for Summerween. I'm so pumped! I over plan because I'll probably keep reading spooky books all July. I want to read "Maeve Fly", "The House Across the Lake", "Reckless Girls", "Nightbitch" "When the Crow's Away" and "Silver Nitrate". For new releases, my husband and I are going to buddy read "Horror Movie" and I want to listen to "Home is Where the Bodies Are". 10:25 Well then, "A Certain Hunger" is on my radar for summer too but now I may have to get my hands on the other books as well! This idea is amazing 😍
I have so many books picked out I might end up making it a month long readation as well.

I had a few female friends that asked me my thoughts on Riley's new book since I'm a guy... and I did advise them that they might have trouble relating to the main character because it is from a male point of view and some of the things he thinks and feels might not be understood... and that it has more of an emotional depth then his previous books did (in other words, not as over the top).
So excited for Summerween! I am hoping to hit all five prompts with one book: When No One is Watching. The only prompt I’m not sure it covers is set in summer. If it doesn’t cover that then I’ll try and finish Diavola too 🔥

I had a stack of books from my shelves for Summerween, then went to my library and picked out another stack of books. Overwhelming number of choices! In July I've already read one and a half books from the library stack. The first book I'll "officially" start with is Dead Things Are Closer than They Appear by Robin Wasley because it might fit all the prompts, which means I could mood pick for the rest of the week.

So fun! I saw your prompt video and built my TBR and then I could not wait to start on July 5. Soooooo I started a day ago and read the intruders by Louise Jensen as my sky on the cover book and gobbled it up. Loved the twist and turns. Just what I needed . Thanks for the fun prompts and no pressure attitude!

Hey Gabby! For Summerween I plan to read We Used to Live Here, Keep It In The Family and the graphic novel Something Is Killing The Children. If I have time I'll also pick up Party Summer by R. L. Stine from the Fear Street series. Big high five to Rach for the adorable ghosty for Summerween. I love my stickers and bookmark. If you do Winterween can I request a cute, white, furry Yeti with purple and ice blue colors? The little yeti could be holding a book in one illustration and a mug of coffee in another. I plan to also read Horror Movie for Summerween for the horror and book to read in the dark prompt. I had a hard time coming up with a book that takes place in the summer so I will read the Ruth Ware since I already have it.

I hope you like Middle of the Night more than I did. It was so long and boring and the ending seemed to go against what the novel was setting up. Very anti-climatic and boring for me. I love the ghostie merch, I need to get some gear :)

It might just be me, but the new Riley Sager is my least favorite of all his books that I have read. 😭

I dnf Unwedding, unfortunately. Although The Unwedding has a lot of things that I like (a murder mystery, isolation trope...), the writing is so meandering and lacks intrigue, so I had to DNF.
Horror movie by Paul Tremblay is such a disappointment - it's so boring and not scary at all. It's a like an existential horror provoking thoughts about life and transformation and a lot of other things that I don't really care.
Please slow down. You talk soooo fast
