Stars of the Lid, in my world, are like some strange alien wisdom. I've always loved harmonic pieces like this one, where the spectrum shifts so cleanly. I've really enjoyed a lot of their work.
How. How in the hell can my friends NOT feel relaxed by this. I am 17, I'm no goodie two shoes, but I think much differently than everybody else. They always say "This music is boring". Teens are so stupid. Evaluate, Imagine, Create, Relax, Listen. My mind is at complete peace when I hear The Stars.
I don't know ow if you are still creating this wonderful content; but I would love more. It's been years and I still come back to this to slow down and relax into the calmness of the dark silent universe.
Beautiful and eerie. Don't forget to listen to part 2, check out Amethystium - shadow to light and continue your ambient pleasure. Prepare to cry :-) I did when I first heard it back in 2003 - 2004.
@sugarcoatthepalate Listen to Brian Eno! The one who coined the term "ambient music" and imo the greatest! Discreet music, ambient 1, ambient 4, apollo & thursday afternoon are excellent albums of his :)
@sugarcoatthepalate ah nvm I was overreacting, i just see people making extreme comments about music all the time on youtube and i reacted to the wrong person
@sugarcoatthepalate pity? that's a bit extreme for music. I love music i mean... but lou reed once said: "people die for religion all the time, so why not music?" ... what the hell ...
I will recommend this MUSIC for the meditation 🧘♀️ 😌 ✨️ 👌

I know right? I'm 13 years old and I think this music is beautiful and calming. Its like I can escape from reality and into my imagination
You've been blessed by the universe my friend:)
Hows life going

Best ambient artist to date.
Brian Eno may have created it, but Stars of the Lid perfected it.
I would suggest a mixing of the two....as they are sympathetic...
I see my heaven by this song.
sometimes a small, dedicated, and like-minded fan base is really a special thing.
Right in the feels

Strangely it works really well
BOTH ARE GOLD in my book.

Thanks a lot for the nice words
"European Ambeint duo" I'm pretty sure they're from Texas.
@wehateyourhate I expected so. Here is hope to that I one day will be able to see them live. :(
Shame indeed. I pity anyone who hasn't been able to experience Stars of the Lid. No one makes ambient music like them.
@arseymcpherson
I know they are from Austin but now reside in Denmark I believe.
Beautiful ethereal music interrupted by crass vulgar commercials. They are everyfuckingwhere! You can't escape them. It is like 1984.
