    Now that’s the way ballads should be played. Thank you for this lovely rendition.

    In these bombastic times it's nice to get mellow occasionally. "Moonglow" is a great way to go and it's sure performed well here.

    Makes me remember Bill Holden and Kim Novak doing the Lindy Hop in Picnic the flick from back in the day. Most cool duo!

    Beautiful. What's the reed/mouthpiece combination ?

    • @PeteSmyser

      Ted tells me that the mouthpiece is an old Otto Link Ton Master worked to a 9*. The reed was a Rico nbr. 2 strength.

    Whats is the name of Thais style of jazz?

    • @PeteSmyser
      @PeteSmyser  5 років тому +2

      Good question. We have many influences from early, traditional jazz, swing and blues through bebop, cool jazz, modal jazz, etc., but I think our rendition of this song (written in 1933) would likely be associated with the swing era. That said, we don't aim to restrict ourselves to any given era or style. We just play whatever we feel inspired to play.
