Nick shares his deeply personal story of dealing with PTSD after his service from 2003 to 2007 as an infantryman. He opens up about how hunting and the outdoors have provided him solace and a way to cope with the challenges he faced after returning from combat. Nick's journey led him to connect with Scott Baldwin through a shared passion for the outdoors and their mutual experiences as veterans.
Together, Nick and Scott founded Darkhorse Expeditions, a platform dedicated to helping veterans navigate life with PTSD by sharing their successes and providing mentorship and support. This episode not only showcases the excitement and skill involved in hunting but also highlights the importance of mental health and camaraderie among veterans.
