Hey guys! Great work! Looks amazing. I did the english voice for Inuyasha and was linked to this video by a fan. Really cool to see the Tessaiga come to life! :)

I honestly hope they don't sell it to anyone. I think it would be something amazing if they could donate the sword to the maker of the series. I think something like that would astound her, not to mention make her happy. Plus while this blades maker is not a traditional japanese smith he did his best to honor the style in which the blade would have been made. I hope he was able to give it to the artist who created the work this was inspired by.
Nathan Hoskins That'd be cool actually. I'd totally be ok with that happening lol. Althought I do know that there's been more accurate renditions of the tetsusaiga made. This one made by mat at arms is speciall in that its totally usable. However, there are people that forged the weapon to LOOK more like the anime but is obviously not as easy (or rather impossible) to actually use as a sword..
All of you people who keep saying 'but they did the buster sword!'. Yes, they probably could make all the big ass swords by cutting a huge fucking piece of aluminium and making it the shape of the Tetsusaiga, and then put a fucking handle on that, but would you seriously call that real blacksmithing? I've already seen enough critics back in the buster sword and Zangetsu saying 'this isn't blacksmithing. This is just cutting a huge piece of metal and making it into the shape of a sword.'. Face it. It's impossible to actually 'forge' huge ass anime swords in their original sizes. You guys even remember the Zangetsu wasn't even heat treated because it was impossible? And I could see what would come up next after the sizes. 'But the Tetsusaiga isn't that thin!'. Yeah, because many anime swords have a fucking unrealistically thick core/spine that was almost never used in any actual historical sword.
Not to be that guy, especially since your point is otherwise valid, I kinda have to disagree. What would make making a bigger sword "not black smithing"? Because it's not realistically usable? The people asking for the Buster Sword or Tessaiga already know that because the characters that wield them aren't human. This show isn't about making useable swords it's about making ones that fans ask for. These will never be sold more than likely and never be used even more so. The point is to make RL replicas.
Johnny Perry I'm not saying that making huge swords itself(Or producing unpractical weapons) is not blacksmithing. It's more about how the methods and processes that the huge unrealistic sword would go through would be far from conventional blacksmithing methods. For example, the methods that Tony used for the Buster sword (Cutting and milling a huge piece of aluminium, riveting a carbon steel blade into it etc.) was less of a blacksmith and more of something like a machine technician would do. There are already numerous people in this channel who complain saying 'stop making CNC shit' 'stop showing grinding and more of smithing' '(In the Masamune episode) I'm disappointed cuz Tony didn't use traditional methods of forging a Katana (I don't agree with this comment though)' etc. This channel is primarily about replicating fantasy swords in real life, but it is about replicating them under real blacksmith skills. If all they did was cut pieces of aluminium just for the shapes, I'm pretty sure this channel would've not earned as much attention as it does now. I mean, simply think about it. 'Hey, we bought a huge piece of aluminium and had to manually saw it for like three days (because it fits in none of our machines)(shows that for like 5 minutes). Then we made the handle and stuff and kindda etched some patterns on the blade to make it look it real(Because it's aluminium and too huge to actually do some metal method on it). It took us a lot of work(but none really related to our blacksmithing skills). Hope you guys like it. Dun dun dun dun(Presentation music) (No demonstration cuz it's aluminium)'. That doesn't really sound fun. Nor would the result look impressive.
Johnny Perry Let me address the question of why making bigger swords is a problem. It's not just a matter of needing bigger forges, treating ovens, quenching baths, etcetera, although all of those things do get exponentially more expensive and dangerous when scaled upwards. To forge a sword, you have to lift it and move it around from forge to hammer and back over and over and over again. And you need to do it quickly enough that the blade's temperature stays in the correct range, often with mere seconds of leeway. That means one or maybe two people would have to lift and move pieces of steel weighing 100-300 lbs over and over and over again with no room for error and no time to rest, and still be clear-headed enough and hold the blade steady enough to make very precise hammer strikes. Not only that, but even if they had a multi-million-dollar, state-of-the-art robot blacksmith instead of humans to handle the weight, such heavy, hot blades would buckle and bend under their own sheer weight every time they're lifted and moved, because the metal gets surprisingly soft at forge temperatures. So when Stan said it would be impossible to forge such massive swords properly, he wasn't exaggerating. Maybe some sort of Zero-G orbital forging lab with robot blacksmiths would do the trick, but I'm fairly comfortable saying that isn't possible for these guys get their hands on. And that's assuming there aren't other problems which I wasn't able to think of just now off the top of my head, which there probably are.
you may be one of those people who hate anime, myself being one of them. But you cannot deny that this was one of the sickest builds they've ever done. the amount of work done on the blade alone was just awesome. great work guys!
Animes can just be as shitty as big movies like Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings, it all comes down to preference. But what does not come down to preference is that ALL WEAPONS ARE AWESOME!
I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANYONE ELSE WATCHING HERE, BUT THE THICKNESS OF THE BLADE LEFT ME ENTIRELY UNSATISFIED! THE LENGTH WAS ADEQUATE BUT HOW COULD YOU HAVE MISSED THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR??? THE GIRRRRRRRRTHH!!!! I HAVE TO SAY, I AM DEEPLY UPSET AND VERY WOUNDED BY THIS EGREGIOUS OVERSIGHT ON YOUR PART. I THINK YOU SHOULD MAKE THE SAME BLADE ABOUT THREE MORE TIMES THEN COMBINE IT AND PERHAPS YOU WILL GET A MORE ACCURATE RESULT. THIS BLADE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WIDER THAN YOUR GRANDMOTHERS ASS! 0/10. WOULD NOT WIELD. Love you guys! blessings
Tessiaga has more a darker color than what they made it into at least try to make it black not grayish and they first used the sword backwards from the guy that cosplay Inuyasha which it was embarrassing if you a fan and try to use it as that and you call yourself a fan of the anime
Guys, instead of suggesting sword after sword, why dont we ask for other weapons like spears, bows, and other special weapons or shields or armors some spears that Man at Arms can make are 1) Frozen fire spear (AQ worlds) 2) Dante's Scythe (Dante's inferno) 3) Jarvan's spear (LoL) 4) Halberd of smiting (WoW) 5) spear of destiny (God of War) some bows 1) Deathwing's raid bow (Wow) 2) Heretic composite bow (not from game, a concept design but really cool) 3) Serah Farron bow (Final Fantasy franchise) 4) Stormwing's bow (aion online) 5) Throngseeker bow (TERA online0 shields 1) Braum's shield (LoL) 2) Sunward's crest (WoW) 3) Pathfinder tower shield tier 4 4) Havel's greatshield (Darksouls) 5) aegis shield (Final Fantasy Franchise) and many more
I agree to a point. I still think the 3D maneuvering gear from Attack on Titan would be a great challenge with all the mechanisms that would be needed to make it work.
"the width isnt right" considering that its a animated weapon and they were going off of real life styles and how normal katanas are generally made it looks pretty fucking close to me.
Matt Stagmer I have an interesting build for you guys. It's a little different then the usual, but could you guys do the Shikai version of Kazeshini from Bleach? You know the twin scythes? :3
I don't know if anyone's thanked you guys yet, but I requested the tetsaiga as well ! And I got replied my Matt so I want to thank you guys for that !!!! And the dedication you guys put in every video !!! Thank You !!! Tetsaiga looked so bad A !!! No dislikes at all
Matt Stagmer So, black blade with white specks for stars, maybe even a dash of colour for that edge glow, interesting to see how you do that. Oh . . . normal blade with basically the same etching techniques . . . disappointing to see how you make generic swords out of ones with a cool gimmick. Fanboy put extra effort into this and couldn't even make the sword look like it should. Also 60% success rate for Japanese swordmakers who've trained their whole life? It's a science, not a magical art form. I'd be surprised if that statistic isn't bullshit.
Baked Yes Man at Arms team make the cold metal glow, jeez I thought you hack-frauds were real blacksmiths, I'm a stupid Weebo that lives in a fantasy world -Baked
Matt Stagmer Thanks you guys! First the Rebellion and now Tessaiga! :D You guys have seriously made me consider taking up the blacksmithing course :) Please continue to bring us awesomeness and give us more of Ilya! He's awesome :D
I know you guys havn't done it before but maybe a episode on definitions and explinations on what everything does and how it works? I think it would be really cool to learn more about the techniques used in forging!
Matt Stagmer Is there any chance we can get some specs for the swords in the video description? Weight would be the most important one so we can get an idea of how heavy the weapons are.
I can't say this enough. I love the fact that Illiya is an otaku like us. It's good to know that there is a fan who will do as faithful a representation of the anime weapon as possible. Thank you for all you do sir.
Llya is my favourite person, been watching man at arms for a while now and it's seems since he came around they have been making the swords from scratch rather than cutting the shape from a sheet awesome videos and I enjoy every second of it. Keep on keepin on
I'm pretty sure they could do a tongue-in-cheek (funny, humorous while keeping an appearance of being serious) version of making the Excalibur from Fate/Stay... except it's invisible, due to the shroud Saber keeps around it.
Crow AU No you Idiot, in Fate Caliburn and Excalibur are Diferent Caliburn: Golden Sword of the Victorious Excalibur: Sword of Promised Victory The First Broke, the Second one is from the Lake. In The Nasuverse. And Still, Caliburn is more Fancy than Excaliburn that is for Real Fighting
Ike's Ragnell from Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn Roronoa Zoro's Sandai Kitetsu, Wado Ichimonji, and Shusui Shulk's Manado from Xenoblade Chronicles The Levin Sword from Fire Emblem Awakening
Yato But having a real Tessaiga is for what? Think about that and get back to me. :) But yeah, that's what I am saying, they should make the whole thing... the duel weapon blades should come with the gear. People don't think about that... they automatically jump to: "Omg, that's so boring."
It seems I'm in the minority with this opinion, but I'm glad they make concessions on fidelity to the source in order to make the piece functional. I mean...if it's so big that it's completely unwieldable, I wouldn't call it a sword, nor would I call the process of making it "blacksmithing." If it doesn't serve its purpose as a weapon, what you have is a pretty, but useless, metal sculpture of a sword.
The point of Man At Arms is to replicate weapons from movies, video games, and shows as close as possible whether they'd end up as practical weapons or not. With the exception of very few pieces, they're all made to be functional, just not practical by human standards mostly. This sword is a 'toothpick' in comparison to what the Tessaiga in its transformed state should be. Its a nice large falchion for sure but still too thin to be the Tessaiga. That's why it is a toothpick. Because of the blade's width, not the sword's overall length, although I don't know why you brought up 'toothpick' o_o
Either Pit's Palutena Bow/ Magnus Club from Kid Icarus: Uprising, or Sly Cooper's cane. I know the cane isn't a blade, but since you guys have gone from Captain America's shield to a sharpened version of the Keyblade and Oddjob's throwing hat, I just thought those would be amazing to see in real life, besides the fact that neither of my two (well three) suggestion franchises haven't been done yet. Thanks, and everyone else let me know how they feel!
i dont think you realize how heavy it would be. It would literally just be a hunk of metal. Sure it would stay true to the show but this is real life. It would probably take 2 people to even pick it up.
AWESOME! For the next anime based sword, could you please do one of the swords from Naruto, like for example Zabuza's Executioner blade, Kisame Hoshigaki's Samehada (Sharkskin) sword or even Orochimaru's Kusangi (Grasscutter) sword?
They couldn't make samehama cause samehama is a living sword, so it's actually alive and it would take way to much time and effort and money and metal to make, executioners blade on to he other hand, is an absolute MUST DO!!!!!!! THEY HAVE TO MAKE THE EXECUTIONER BLADE, THEY HAVE TO!!!
Actually I want to make samehada myself when I'm older and learnt some metal work techniques then gone and learnt how to make swords, samehada would be pretty awesome
I would like to see the Soul Reaver from the Legacy of Kain series. Yes yes, I know there have been alot of skulls motivs, but I would really like to see how a wavy style blade is made.
These guys are giving everyone exactly what they want and they're still getting crap for it. Things have calmed down a bit but I feel bad for them. Sorry for the crappy fanbase guys...
I've enjoyed a lot of what they did, the only episode i've actually disliked was the zombie weapons one. The projects for stuff like the groot swing haven't interested me much either but they have made some insanely impressive stuff and i can appreciate the mass of talent these guys have. Criticism is not always hate. Not that i can criticize them!
I see what you are talking about and I get its unfair to these hard working people but it's really hard to compare to the first team and their super high quality builds. With them everything was almost perfect but I'm finding with this new group they make amazing pieces but they cut corners to make things easier for themselves instead of making a perfectly accurate finished product, an example would be Dantes sword they just made, because they already had a leftover skull they used that instead of tailoring something custom for that build so it would look more like the original.
desired397 I think also that this time around this group is doing much more.....adventurous builds where most of the builds in he first season were very much just straight up swords with a slightly abstract shape but you begin to see some of the video game goodness in the frostmourne build and it seems like they are definitely working on that badass video game factor in recent builds. Would love to see some more builds like this one.
I vote Excalibur. Either the one from Soul Eater, Sword Art Online, or the one from legend. Please? This sword was supposedly the most powerful in existence and also is the most well known.
What about the version from Fate/Zero or Fate/Stay Night? www.watchcartoononline.com/thumbs/Fate-Zero-Episode-15-English-Dubbed.jpg i.ytimg.com/vi/wYTly9nUUd0/maxresdefault.jpg i00.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/555851124/Fate-stay-night-Saber-Excalibur-Sword-Avalon-Sheath-Cosplay-Weapon.jpg
ColinYeo123 I haven't seen Fate yet so that's why there's the ones I suggested. The SAO one looks pretty cool, though I prefer the Soul Eater one most.
Cody Saffel You should watch when you as soon as you can. The episode is painfully boring but necessary for the rest of the show but it after its a no stop roller coaster. Trust youll love it. Its easily one of the best shows ive seen.
Two suggestions: #1 The Monado from Xenoblade chronicles. This sword would look really cool, and I think it would be interesting if you could make the ether blade actually work. I don't know how you would do it, but that would make my day. #2 Sly Cooper's cane from the sly cooper series. Sly cooper is one of my favourite game series, so I would love to see his can made real. Also, Despite others' opinions, I really like your hybrid weapons, so I thought it might be cool if you could combine all the canes from sly 4 into one, Sort've like how you did the TMNT weapons!
We had nothing from one piece yet! Make mihawk's yoru please! Go big but usable! Thanks for the amazing pieces so far. I can feel much more heard from you guys rather than the previous team (even though they were equally awesome). Keep on the great work!
Matt Stagmer This is why your team rocks so hard! Not only do you put your heart and soul on the pieces, but you come to youtube, read comments and interact with us. Makes the show much more alive. Thank you for the great show! You guys rock! All of you!
+ttlpwn34 Lol ballistic gel doesn't prove anything other than how many pound of pure meat something can cut through. You're better off using pig carcasses for it.
Make Ruby's Crescent Rose or Weiss' Myrtenaster from RWBY!! Scissor Blade from Kill la Kill. Excalibur from Sword Art Online II: Calibur. Horseless Headless Horseman's Headtaker from Team Fortress 2. Despite looking quite common, I'd like to see Murasame from Akame ga Kill!.
Oh, people shut up. "It's not big enough." It's bigger than any metal Tetsusuiga/Tessaiga that you made, therefore you should stop complaining about it. I thought it was good, especially with how much money and work would have gone into it.
That one was plasma cut from sheet metal and was much thinner than even this sword. Watch the silent hill sword build and you see why itd be damn near impossible to forge a tetsaiga. Not cut it out of a chunk of metal and shape it but actually forge it with painstaking details
+Jacob Logan Honestly, people who criticize the swords of this show for not being 100% identical to absurd fantasy weapons must be kids or alienated weebs that can't comprehend how real life works.
I have to say, I was really impressed with this build. It turned out really beautiful! Also, can you guys make Archer's swords Kanshou and Byakuya from Fate/Stay Night?
Huh. It's interesting that you've taken two swords now that were meant to be massive (Rebellion and now Tessaiga) and scaled them down to usable sizes... I'm actually OK with that. The super big swords always felt like some of the weaker pieces Tony did (particularly the Buster Sword) just because their size made them so unwieldly and hard to work with. These scaled-down blades are practical and still look great. Suggestions: Scisdor blades (kill la kill) or Soul Calibur from SC2 as a spear.
Who cares if their as large as they are in the anime or games, and who cares if they are unusable, meh, if you ask me that makes it even better, cause the idea is for them to be collect able and for decoration, not for use, these guys do it to show what goes into the making of the blades, and so they take requests from veiwers to see which ones they want, or on occasions they just do what they want, I say closer it is to the scale of the original in game or anime the better
Why scale them down? It's for the collection, not a battle fantasy. Remake it, then make it the actual size. Stick it on the wall, then say you have it. It's not like you're going to take it out and go start a sword fight. Sizing them down is cheap.
While the sword looks great, it just doesn't feel like Tessaiga to me... When you guys did Zangetsu and the Buster Sword, you did oversized blades that actually looked like the source material- even though the Buster Sword couldn't be properly used at all. Seeing as the point of this show is to showcase what fictional blades would look like if they were real, I actually preferred that to making a smaller, similar blade that was more focused on practicality.
Thats why this blade was done on Reforged instead of the standard MaA. It's a highly requested sword, but there would be no way to make an authentic replica at that size, so they decided to take a more creative route. That being said, i would have liked to see them do something with the fur on the hilt to stay a bit truer to the original blade.
michael kennell Unless they suddenly lost their steel supplier judging from the buster sword, ichigo's sword etc they could have definitely made it. Or at least the original Man at Arms could have.
I would like to see how they would even swing a blade that was as big as the anime version of Tessaiga let alone just handling it while its being forged
1minifridge Not only in size the Tessaiga is actually very thick. The answer to this would be similar to how they made Thor's hammer (which would normally be ridiculously heavy). They'd just have to make it hollow. As for actually swinging it, does it really matter if they can swing it around easily? It's a replica based on an anime not an industrial watermelon dividing tool.
Do you know how freaking hard that would be? Even more impractical than the Buster Sword and Gun blade combined. I could MAYBE see it without the transformation to gun mode, but even then that would be one of the toughest builds this show could do.
Zarchisael Faruhan The Gunblade can't fire bullets, not even in-game. Pulling the trigger just causes vibrations to issue down the blade and causes it to deal more damage. By pure definition, it's not a firearm. The Crescent Rose, by contrast, is both a bladed weapon and a functioning firearm. I can see them making the scythe form but the gun components would have to be purely decorative. Even so, the Crescent Rose has a lot of parts, unless they make the gun parts one piece of metal in which case accuracy might take a hit.
Yes, it is thinner. But it is also thinner, wieldable, and was able to be traditionally made because it was thinner. They took the size down to make a higher quality product than it would've been otherwise. They went all out on the buster, and it suffered because of it. so stop complaining, and just admire the craftsmanship that went into this.
I remember when I first watched this. I was so excited to see an InuYasha build. I was so happy that I wanted to kiss Ilya. Still want to. This build along with Loki's staff are my favorites among your builds. Keep up the good work.
Logically I realize that it will be very difficult to make a sword just like the depiction in mangas and animes but I feel like this doesn't even remotely look like Tessaiga
***** true gs has the best one for cosplay reasons. But Matt confirmed in the comments of the last video they are doing ryuko's blade. Hopefully it looks even better than gsprops'
MOONLIGHT GREATSWORD!!! I would love to see some weapons from Dark Souls being made and this sword looks awesome. It's got a teal colored blade and a gold cross-guard and handle for the love of God! It would be a challenging build but would look amazing in real life. Praise the Sun!
KeirebuAmeterasu I think the purpose behind it was because of the material the object they were cutting was made of. I think it would have damaged the edge unlike the other stuff they hit. They hit 2 pots, both with the other side of the blade. Everything else was a softer material.

Let me address the question of why making bigger swords is a problem.

***** I agree for the most part.
Renegade841 So you don't think all weapons are awesome? :/
There are a lot of good anime though
LN2233 There are also a lot of shitty ones though
anyone else get a bit nervous when it wasn't fluffy at the end?
+Sparrow YESSS!!! lol
me
you saw that 2 😆
"fluffy" Lol
same
I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANYONE ELSE WATCHING HERE, BUT THE THICKNESS OF THE BLADE LEFT ME ENTIRELY UNSATISFIED!
Love you guys! blessings
BRUH
So true!~!
KEKW in chat bois
Tessiaga has more a darker color than what they made it into at least try to make it black not grayish and they first used the sword backwards from the guy that cosplay Inuyasha which it was embarrassing if you a fan and try to use it as that and you call yourself a fan of the anime
Very upset, much caps lock
This video may be old, but you have no idea just how much this made my week.
Great work!
Guys, instead of suggesting sword after sword, why dont we ask for other weapons like spears, bows, and other special weapons or shields or armors
some spears that Man at Arms can make are
1) Frozen fire spear (AQ worlds)
2) Dante's Scythe (Dante's inferno)
3) Jarvan's spear (LoL)
4) Halberd of smiting (WoW)
5) spear of destiny (God of War)
some bows
1) Deathwing's raid bow (Wow)
2) Heretic composite bow (not from game, a concept design but really cool)
3) Serah Farron bow (Final Fantasy franchise)
4) Stormwing's bow (aion online)
5) Throngseeker bow (TERA online0
shields
1) Braum's shield (LoL)
2) Sunward's crest (WoW)
3) Pathfinder tower shield tier 4
4) Havel's greatshield (Darksouls)
5) aegis shield (Final Fantasy Franchise)
and many more
I agree to a point. I still think the 3D maneuvering gear from Attack on Titan would be a great challenge with all the mechanisms that would be needed to make it work.
elven naginata
Brittany Vautrain you can't make that work, let's be real...
Would definetly love to see some LoL/WoW gear of come to life
Meta9871 they already made some, but its not very frequent. Also, itll be great to see some duel wield builds, cuz that will be a true first.
Okay enough swords, make
ALPHONSE ELRIC
they can't. human transmutation is forbidden :P
diogoriba It's not forbidden if no one catches you before you put it on UA-cam.
hahahaha
WTF ;D
yes
TOTOSAI IS THAT YOU??!
(It would he lovely to see Bakusaiga next!)
Hahaha
"the width isnt right" considering that its a animated weapon and they were going off of real life styles and how normal katanas are generally made it looks pretty fucking close to me.
+ravous246 finally, someone who agrees with me!! my biggest thing is that the "star" effect didn't really show up as planned....
+ravous246 That didn't stop them from making the Buster Sword huge, you fucking fanboy.
CogniVision you do realize that this is men at arms REFORGED right? It's not the same person who made the buster sword. =\
Matt Stagmer I'm not going to lie, the more pieces you guys do, the more impressed I become!
Matt Stagmer I have an interesting build for you guys. It's a little different then the usual, but could you guys do the Shikai version of Kazeshini from Bleach? You know the twin scythes? :3
I agree. The "hybrid" stuff they started the show with was hit or miss, but this kind of thing is muuuuuch more to my liking.
I don't know if anyone's thanked you guys yet, but I requested the tetsaiga as well ! And I got replied my Matt so I want to thank you guys for that !!!! And the dedication you guys put in every video !!! Thank You !!! Tetsaiga looked so bad A !!! No dislikes at all
Matt Stagmer dude you is awesome8)
Matt Stagmer So, black blade with white specks for stars, maybe even a dash of colour for that edge glow, interesting to see how you do that.
Oh . . . normal blade with basically the same etching techniques . . . disappointing to see how you make generic swords out of ones with a cool gimmick.
Fanboy put extra effort into this and couldn't even make the sword look like it should.
Also 60% success rate for Japanese swordmakers who've trained their whole life?
It's a science, not a magical art form. I'd be surprised if that statistic isn't bullshit.
Baked Yes Man at Arms team make the cold metal glow, jeez I thought you hack-frauds were real blacksmiths, I'm a stupid Weebo that lives in a fantasy world
-Baked
I've been asking this for a while. Glad its here! :)
Matt Stagmer Thanks you guys! First the Rebellion and now Tessaiga! :D You guys have seriously made me consider taking up the blacksmithing course :) Please continue to bring us awesomeness and give us more of Ilya! He's awesome :D
I love seeing Inuyasha's sword come to life so beautifully!
Would it be possible to make the Ranger knife set from Ranger's Apprentice?
New #ReForged ! Start your week with Inuyasha's Tessaiga!
Make Master Yi's wuju blade, from League Of Legends!!!
I'd like to see a Daedric Greatsword or Sword from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Or The Z sword from Dragonball
please do tommys dragon dagger flute
cross between mighty morphin green ranger dragon dagger and red ranger power sword
Matt Stagmer You guys do great work! I'd give up a lot to be able to do this sort of thing for a living.
I would really like to know if these things ever go for sale, or something like that. I would love to but a custom made scythe if you ever made one!
Keep on keepin on
HE IS THE MASTER FORGER
I'd like to see Kirby's Ultra Sword. Something cartoony and plastic-like turned into a deadly weapon!
***** What?
***** The hell is a retrad?
LeoKingdom101 looks like elena needs to go to jacksfilms [YGS]
im on you with this, either kirby's ultra sword or meta knight's galaxia sword.
Must be made in real size, about the size of a car lol
DARK SOULS ZWEIHANDER!!!
The Legend Never Dies
great lord gs or gravelord sword
The Zweihander is real sword btw.
DrakeSWORD!!!!
MOONLIGHT GREATSWORD!!!
Smough's Hammer, life size XD
Cool sword, but it looks nothing like the Tessaiga. There was a good reason why Totosai was the only blacksmith that could forge that weapon.
+ησαн The Ark very true tetsusaiga was more thick then this blade
+GigaHebrewPlays Even the hilt was wrong
+ησαн The Ark how was the hilt wrong? O.o
+ησαн The Ark It looks cool, but the real Tessaiga is more of a furry leather. Go look.
Yeah, but the hilt changes when it transforms
I WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD!!!!!! my childhood anime❤
Earl librero Light Yagami much?, I couldn’t help but think of Death Note from this comment 😂
@@Jumexjuu it's the Op song from Inuyasha lolol
Because I am a Japanese, I do not know whether English matches.
It is a request.
Please make Excalibur of the animated cartoon called Fate/Zero.
I think that Caliburn looks a lot more awesome!
***** Same thing just spelled differently. Read the wiki.
I'm pretty sure they could do a tongue-in-cheek (funny, humorous while keeping an appearance of being serious) version of making the Excalibur from Fate/Stay... except it's invisible, due to the shroud Saber keeps around it.
Crow AU No you Idiot, in Fate Caliburn and Excalibur are Diferent
Caliburn: Golden Sword of the Victorious
Excalibur: Sword of Promised Victory
The First Broke, the Second one is from the Lake.
In The Nasuverse.
And Still, Caliburn is more Fancy than Excaliburn that is for Real Fighting
Crow AU They are different, ironic thing is that Wiki says the same.
Probably the hardest of all, The Green Ranger's flute/dagger.
That would be awesome actually, DO IT PEOPLE!!!
Son Fish they make the white ranger dagger insead...or the black ranger weapon....or tommy wait what
Son Fish YAAAAAAS
Ike's Ragnell from Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn
Roronoa Zoro's Sandai Kitetsu, Wado Ichimonji, and Shusui
Shulk's Manado from Xenoblade Chronicles
The Levin Sword from Fire Emblem Awakening
Ike's ragnell all the way!!
And also I think dracule Mihawk's sword would be cooler because they do a lot of kata as but I would like to see zoro's swords.
I was about to mention the Levin Sword from Awakening until your comment extended. Such a cool blade.
Jon Kuivinen YESSSSS THE RAGNELL!!!!!
Tessaiga 😳❤ InuYasha is one of my favorite anime from all over the world, I'm thrilled to see you building the Tessaiga, excellent work❤❤❤
Greatsword of Artorias from Dark Souls!
[Dark Souls fans, where are you?!]
I've seen quite a couple of these requests over the months to no avail yet :(
we'll just have to wait and see, but it would look amazing
Much want
Greatsword of Artorias or Majestic Greatsword from Dark Souls 2 would be awesome!
I wrote so many times about something from DS ( Moonlight, Artorias' greatsword etc ) but nothing...
how about mugens sword from samurai champloo. it was sick. had the hidden tang tanto fighting knife. sick af
Ilya always puts his heart and soul into every build he does. He is an insanely talented craftsman and artist.
Great work! this sword also reminds me of ichigo's first Zanpakto, Could you forge Tensa Zangetsu{bankai} please
Attack on Titan: Dual Weapon Blades!
With the Omni-Directional Gear.
ooh! Great idea!
***** You are not a true Otaku. ;p
***** Why not? It'll be cool to have a real one instead wouldn't it?
My point exactly. And besides, if they are able to make a mechanism like in the anime with interchangeable blades.. that would be awesome.
Yato But having a real Tessaiga is for what? Think about that and get back to me. :) But yeah, that's what I am saying, they should make the whole thing... the duel weapon blades should come with the gear. People don't think about that... they automatically jump to: "Omg, that's so boring."
The Sakabatou From Ruroni Kenshin
+Ryan Povey YES
Yes
+Ryan Povey Sanosuke Sagara's Sword is better the Zanbato
+Dwight Tibe can agree to disagree if they nade the zanbatou no one would be able to swing it lol
+Ryan Povey they could make it within reason. just make it smaller and with a lighter material, doesn't need to be exact to be awesome!!:D
The Monado from Xenoblade Chronicles, please!
YES
YES YES YES
Hell yeah!!!
Yes pls
THIS IS THE MONADOS POWER!
place this comment a lot on every video :v
I love inuyasha so much it’s by far one of my top anime’s and most nostalgic thank you for the attempt of making this
Same
How about an arm gauntlet of Edward Elric's (Fullmetal Alchemist) metal arm?
so a metal arm then?...see i can do it to
Dick!
Dominic Newby oh man im dying from that one
That would be awsome but very time consuming
i think they only make weapons the arm isnt a weapon and i think technology might need to be involved :/
It seems I'm in the minority with this opinion, but I'm glad they make concessions on fidelity to the source in order to make the piece functional. I mean...if it's so big that it's completely unwieldable, I wouldn't call it a sword, nor would I call the process of making it "blacksmithing."
If it doesn't serve its purpose as a weapon, what you have is a pretty, but useless, metal sculpture of a sword.
And for those of you who think it's a "toothpick," you fail to understand that, as far as swords go, that thing is a monster.
Graidon Mabson They...[Well the other guys] Made cloud's sword and yea I can understand what you're talking about.
Except the fact that they do wield it... at the end.. they fuck shit up with it. Someone needs to wield it in to your face! dum dum :)
Hi
Either Pit's Palutena Bow/ Magnus Club from Kid Icarus: Uprising, or Sly Cooper's cane. I know the cane isn't a blade, but since you guys have gone from Captain America's shield to a sharpened version of the Keyblade and Oddjob's throwing hat, I just thought those would be amazing to see in real life, besides the fact that neither of my two (well three) suggestion franchises haven't been done yet. Thanks, and everyone else let me know how they feel!
Great idea. I would love to see a Kid Icarus weapon ;)
I'm glad y'all did this but why didn't u make the end of the blade as wide as it was in the show? It's too skinny
i dont think you realize how heavy it would be. It would literally just be a hunk of metal. Sure it would stay true to the show but this is real life. It would probably take 2 people to even pick it up.
@@chibimoon1432 True, besides Inuyasha is literally a half demon so there's no way we regular mortals can carry that-
That's like asking them to make the dragonslayer
@@ChocolateEffigy but they made the buster sword so that's not even a logical arguement.
Yeah, it doesn't even look like the tessaiga
AWESOME! For the next anime based sword, could you please do one of the swords from Naruto, like for example Zabuza's Executioner blade, Kisame Hoshigaki's Samehada (Sharkskin) sword or even Orochimaru's Kusangi (Grasscutter) sword?
I don''t think there has ever been something from naruto. make it happen
Blaike Jarman-Carr Man at arms already did The Buster Sword, which is basically the executioner blade.
Blaike Jarman-Carr
i alredy made it and it is so epic hope its the same for you
I would like to see the Soul Reaver from the Legacy of Kain series. Yes yes, I know there have been alot of skulls motivs, but I would really like to see how a wavy style blade is made.
Yes
Yes more people are saying this!
Hell yeah!!!!
Finally i allways thought i was the only one who wants to see this ^^
We need to let it be known, sadly, it's not as requested as so many others, we need more numbers
great job....the detail in it is wonderful
- I have no words. That was magic!
These guys are giving everyone exactly what they want and they're still getting crap for it. Things have calmed down a bit but I feel bad for them. Sorry for the crappy fanbase guys...
Matt Stagmer and the trolls, just go dark ages on them, i know you have the technology!!!
Matt Stagmer Well, for whatever it's worth, I loved this build.
I vote for the Soul Eater version.
Fate stay night ver. looks nicer though
What about the version from Fate/Zero or Fate/Stay Night?

I haven't seen Fate yet so that's why there's the ones I suggested. The SAO one looks pretty cool, though I prefer the Soul Eater one most.
Cody Saffel
You should watch when you as soon as you can. The episode is painfully boring but necessary for the rest of the show but it after its a no stop roller coaster. Trust youll love it. Its easily one of the best shows ive seen.
Two suggestions:
#1 The Monado from Xenoblade chronicles.
Sly Cooper's Cane would be a fantastic build! It's, nice, sleek, and simple! Not mention it's overall sexiness ;3
Wooh, totally!
Would love to see Sly Cooper's cane!
Let's make this happen guys! vote this comment to the top!
I think they could do the monado even with the ether blade because they did the halo energy sword
That's amazing, please do Ichigo's Tensa Zangetsu!!!
@J Jonah first of all shows dead, second off they did zangetsu's shikai. Tensa zangetsu is bankai
So (Bankai)
I found it interesting that they tested it on a rawhide bone. You know, given that Inuyasha is a dog demon.
Bahaha
no he's a half demon
No he's a half demon
No, he's a half dog demon XD
half human,half dog-demon...thing
We had nothing from one piece yet! Make mihawk's yoru please! Go big but usable! Thanks for the amazing pieces so far. I can feel much more heard from you guys rather than the previous team (even though they were equally awesome). Keep on the great work!
Matt Stagmer
This is why your team rocks so hard! Not only do you put your heart and soul on the pieces, but you come to youtube, read comments and interact with us. Makes the show much more alive. Thank you for the great show! You guys rock! All of you!
Yes Mihawk's yoru for sure!
Roronoa Zorros Kitetsu Would be Great
Mihawks sword-one piece
YAY FOR SURE YOURE GOING TO MAKE IT,!!!
please do this
All the OP related forums would go nuts if this happened.
Marcus Lassdas media.animevice.com/uploads/0/4479/285040-untitled_1.png
badass :D
and they have to hold it like mihawk^^
teamwork is always good i like to see it worth
would be cool if they had ballistic gel torsos to swing at, so we can really see their performance :)
+ttlpwn34 Hell yeah, that'd cool!
+ttlpwn34 Lol ballistic gel doesn't prove anything other than how many pound of pure meat something can cut through. You're better off using pig carcasses for it.
Shoes Are you saying that wouldn't be better than soda bottles?
***** I'm saying it wouldn't be worth it.
Murasame! PLEASE!
would love to see a fully functional crescent rose but that has to be pushing the oundaries of our current technology XP
Excalibur from soul eater!
Finally, someone who agrees on them making Myrtenaster
Holy sword Excalibur FOOL
Please, forge the Monado from Xenoblade! Who else wants to see this?
Totally down for this!
I'm really feeling it!
sam criscuolo
yes
IM REALLY FEELING THEY SHOULD DO THAT!!!
Omg I was literally thinking the same thing as I was watching this!
That is so awesome! It's now real! Very nostalgic to me, because i grew up with the show back in the day.
Lu Bu's Halberd from Dynasty Warriors series.
+youitsu okami amen amen amen
Yes, Sky Piercer!
+youitsu okami Between Men.... Lu Bu. Between Horses... Red Hare.
Sky Piercer would be SO exquisit! Such a beauty
Oh, people shut up. "It's not big enough." It's bigger than any metal Tetsusuiga/Tessaiga that you made, therefore you should stop complaining about it.
I thought it was good, especially with how much money and work would have gone into it.
Shovel Knight's Shovel Blade
So, a shovel then?
Danmarinja
A blue shovel. Besides, I need a break from swords.
Danmarinja it's gotta be sharp and deadly, too
hell fucking yeah
Sharpen the blade with a belt sander, and dye the metal blue. It's not that hard.
You know I like about you guys are hard working man
"its not wide enough!" ......you do realize that physics exists and a sword as big as the anime version would be way to heavy to weild
Well it's a demon weapon, not meant to be weilded by a human. Obv it's to heavy for a human.
Did you see they bleach sword they did that was way wider than that one and they wielded that
That one was plasma cut from sheet metal and was much thinner than even this sword.
+Jacob Logan did you not see tony make cloud's buster sword cause that happened
Make samehada kisame's sword from naruto it would be so sick
ya i guess lol
Make sasuke'a sword from shippuden
+camed18 hell a lot spike i guess
+camed18 Kinda impossible too since it's a living sword, mostly not made of metal.
I have to say, I was really impressed with this build. It turned out really beautiful! Also, can you guys make Archer's swords Kanshou and Byakuya from Fate/Stay Night?
would be awesome
I second this
I’m happy to be alive to see this
i think these guys should make a tv show ill definitely watch it faithfully
Who cares if their as large as they are in the anime or games, and who cares if they are unusable, meh, if you ask me that makes it even better, cause the idea is for them to be collect able and for decoration, not for use, these guys do it to show what goes into the making of the blades, and so they take requests from veiwers to see which ones they want, or on occasions they just do what they want, I say closer it is to the scale of the original in game or anime the better
what i would like to see is a usable version of auron katana from final fantasy 10
Tgkjj brotherhood would be cool
I'd prefer if they stayed original as well.
Why scale them down? It's for the collection, not a battle fantasy. Remake it, then make it the actual size. Stick it on the wall, then say you have it. It's not like you're going to take it out and go start a sword fight. Sizing them down is cheap.
Without the fluffy bits, it looks like the Murakumo from Dark Souls.
Takes too many guys to match up with Totosai.. Great work guys :)
Scissor Blade : Kill la KIll
Going to keep suggesting it till it gets made damn it!
It's a replica based on an anime not an industrial watermelon dividing tool.
those were done by the other guys, sadly these new guys are no where near as good or up to par.
Pls do scissor blade from kill la kill.
Matt Stagmer OH MY GOD
Matt Stagmer I love you.
oh yeah!!! That's a great idea!
This!
Oh boy i am excited! :D
Duuuude, I miss Inuyasha. That show was so great.
Do for the next episode corvo's sword and helmet from dishonored
Yes pls!!!
Yes please Dishonoured is one of my Favourite Games ever.
Pls
YES!!!! I'd love to see that worked out!
Matt stagmer this is a really good idea. I would take it into consideration
Make Ruby Rose's scythe Crescent Rose from the show RWBY!!!!!!!! I've asked every single AWE ME video and I will ask on every one till its made.
Yess!!
Archieangel They already crafted Squalls Gun Sword so whats stopping them for making that ?
Archieangel
you can make it a nonfunctioning replica.
Yes, it is thinner. But it is also thinner, wieldable, and was able to be traditionally made because it was thinner. They took the size down to make a higher quality product than it would've been otherwise. They went all out on the buster, and it suffered because of it. so stop complaining, and just admire the craftsmanship that went into this.
breathtakingly beautiful!
that was great work I must say, I'm very impressed
Siegfried's Sword from Soulcalibur....do it
MrViral20 It's called Requiem
How about soul edge or soul calibur
Adonas Robinson Soul Calibur would be cool. Always thought the Soul Edge looked goofy though.
Yeah soul calibur would look amazing but in which weapon style
Soul Calibur 2 & 5 have some pretty sweet looking versions.
I would love to see you guys do Sesshomaru's Bakusaiga.
AMAZING ❤️❤️❤️
I’m dying because of the way they pronounce “manga” lol.
and Japanese lmao
Rurouni Kenshin's reverse-edged sword "Sakabato"
Jesus Ruiz they already made it I watched it. 😊 its really good I luv Rurouni Kenshin but it’s sad when kenshin splits T^T
Or Shishio's sword, the Mugenjin?
That's so cool! It looks perfect!
Also you should do a video where you just cut stuff up with the Tetsusaiga!
I'm a new subscriber! Do Sesshomaru's Tokijin or Tenseiga
Ammy Thesta yees

Ammy Thesta no let them make Bakusaiga his new sword

Zoro's Black sword Shuusui (One Piece)
Zoro's Katana!!
Right! Thanks
AWWW, YEA!!
I'd be more impressed with Mihawk's Yoru, but Zoro's Shuusui would be cool too!
OMG, YAAAS
THAT IS ONE BIGASS SWORD
Oh, Man At Arms, have fun making that
Ryukos scissor blade from kill la kill plz plz plz plz
They should do both of the swords, or the extended decapitation mode one.
That would be friggin awesome
I WANT THIS
OMG this gonna be fun
***** true gs has the best one for cosplay reasons. But Matt confirmed in the comments of the last video they are doing ryuko's blade. Hopefully it looks even better than gsprops'
This is sO cool! I would love to see you remake Bakusaiga as well.
The moon light isn't made from steel
zreakz #1 fan
He didn't say it was...
you cant make a glass sword moonlight is glass
zreakz #1 fan Most swords they make aren't made from steel, canonically..
they are made of a metal then
Archer's Dual Blades from Fate/Stay Night.

I agree, making Archers weapons would be awesome.
Yea!
Archer's Kanshou and Bakuya sounds awesome!
I'd be happy to see saber's Excalibur as well ofcourse! :D
Sailor Saturn's Silence Glaive
YES! Do it please.
YASS!
Yes please!!! ^^-
You guys did a beautiful job! The blade looks amazing!!
First person in the reenactment used the wrong side of the sword to break the vase. *facepalm*
I suppose cosplayers aren't swordsmen.
I see that it works both ways, because both sides are sharp, but still XD
Evananjunli It's a single-edged blade, but it didn't matter because you don't need a sharp sword to break glass. Still worthy of a facepalm.
I cringed seeing that.
KeirebuAmeterasu I think the purpose behind it was because of the material the object they were cutting was made of. I think it would have damaged the edge unlike the other stuff they hit. They hit 2 pots, both with the other side of the blade. Everything else was a softer material.
two words: Kenshin Himura
YES! Although idk if it has anything unique to its appearance other than being a reverse blade sword.
Alejandro Netto it would be cool if they made both Kenshin's reverse blade sword and shishio's serrated blade as a pair
Alejandro Netto I swer this basically his sword
8:46 best katana cut ever seen, INCREDIBILIS
Awesome, that sword is amazing, beauty and great job!!!
