One of the best videos I've ever seen on UA-cam.. Short, great animation, and decent music to boot... No yadda yadda yadda... Showed it to my 5 yr old who now knows how it works!
Excellent demonstaration! I'm editing a video on closing pools. Do you mind if I use this clip in the video? I will make sure to credit Rhett Creative in the video.
Great video! I have a pool with one of these valves. The input is on one end of the valve and not the center as illustrated. I assume the valve can be disassembled and reconfigured. In my use case water flows in and is diverted to either hot tub or pool return or mix of both. Just about to do some re-plumbing on the pool and was going to purchase a new valve in case I have trouble cutting off old fittings, i.e. damage sealing surfaces on valve... Anyone have any comment on this??
It depends on where you want to send water. Sometimes these are used on water features so you can give the water feature more or less water running to it. And then whatever water you don’t use on water feature goes into the pool another way.
How do you tell what position the valve is in if the handle is missing?

I would suggest taking a picture of the valve and go to a pool store to match it. Most stores will sell the handle by itself. Also there are notches/grooves so the handle has to fit perfectly...do not force it on. Maneuver till it slides on. Hope this helps.
@@rhettcreative579 Good to know. Thanks for responding. I will have to be careful on which 3-way valve I choose, as I originally planned to have the main flow shoot straight through, but I suppose I might be able to change the hose connection plan.

Thank you!
So simply, but thankfully so easily understood!
Hey there, thanx. I didn't know you could open a port slightly. Shortest video with best explanation out there.
Thank you!
This is exactly what I wanted, thank you, thank you.
Perfect animation, thank you....
Ouutstanding! Everything you need to know - VERY CLEARLY SHOWN - and nothing else. Deserves an engineering award!
Gosh thank you for the comment and for watching!
Thanks! This helps so much! This was direct and to the point!
Thank you!
Thanks!! Awesome video.. Straight to the point..
This is perfect! This is needed for all pool related equipment lol
Haha! I wish! Thank you!
Finally!!!! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for.
I love Jandy valves
Best video ever
Is there a position that will shut the valve off?
Thank you so much for posting this.
Thank you so much for watching!

Sure go for it! Thank you!
Awesome thanks!
This is what the internet was made for.
Haha! Agreed.

So when running pool filter regularly do you want it flowing both ways?

Wow, I love your clear concise instructive illustrations how do you do them, which program do you use, if I may ask?
Great video, thank you!!
Question: What position does this valve need to be in when you close the pool for winter? Thanks in advance!
I guess it depends if “closing the pool” means draining all the water from the equipment, then leave it open.

cool video..thanks!
Thank you!
Mine must be broken. After just a couple years and the spa spill over won't stop to heat spa.
I want 4inch size how to it buy
Serious question: can I turn the dial to the left to allow top to bottom flow and close off the right?
You cannot close the right (the center).
