Castlevania Symphony of the Night - ALUCARD - Model sculpt by ABE3D - Built & Painted by Les Walker

Back to 3D models! This week, we look at ABE3D's amazing ALUCARD from the videogame Castlevania Symphony of the Night! This literal Son of Dracula is a complex wonder of a model sculpt, with elaborate base and attire! He was a tough one to solve, but worth the time!
Handpainted with Vallejo acrylics and Mr Hobby Mr Clear Coat Matt finish spray. Also used Intermediate Gauzy Agent for shine enhancement for the marble areas and to coat the chrome bits including the sword blade, which was chromed with the ever useful Molotow Liquid Chrome Mirror Effect pen!
Tough one! Tough paintup! With the base and figure, this is really two kits, and the base alone took a week to do. The marbling and carpet and details, all demanding time to get just right. No white was used, the lightest color being what is called "White Grey" and the darkest was, this go round, pure black. Lots of gold trim and details, as well as complex face and hair colors.
Sorry about the dust motes here and there! The model is not dirty, my workspace has some freefloating bits from dremeling here and there, and they make their way into all my videos! I gotta get a better vacuum system!
I hope you enjoy this work, as it was not as fun as most, but was rewarding! When finished it has a really cool look about it, and I am glad to have been able to paint such a figure as this! Look for more Abe3D kits in future!

Man! That dude is BAD!!! Fantastic detail on the outfit! Those are some snazzy duds Alucard!! The marble effect is really mind-blowing and the touch with the candles is perfection!! Another great paintjob and video! Keep it up my talented friend!!
