- In today’s travel vlog I’m spending a day in Guanajuato, exploring this beautiful located in the heart of Mexico. Guanajuato is a UNESCO World Heritage site built into the mountains. There are colourful houses, steep hills, and lots to see. As a university town, there’s also a lot of youthful energy. I started the day in the Jardin De La Union, then visited Teatro Juarez, made a quick stop at The Alleyway Of The Kiss for a smooch and fifteen years good luck, then took the funicular up to see the El Pípila monument and incredible view. Guanajuato is a charming place full of colour, culture, and history.

Most mexicans that I've know love to go for tourism, but don't like to live there, they say it's too old, probably only the the students.

There were definitely many tourists there and lots of students. We saw the beautiful university and met a nice girl in a coffee shop who is studying International Business. I grew up in a university town and always like the energy it gives :)

Yes, the theatre is smaller than Bellas Artes - I loved both. Too bad we couldn't see a show in Guanajuato as we did in CDMX. I wish we could've done a collab too! Hopefully soon :)

That is the exact same reason l went to Guanajuato 10 years ago. I saw a picture on a travel magazine of the Plaza Union and San Diego church. When I saw it I said to myself “ I gotta go there” and I did . I really enjoyed my time there and want to go again.

Marlon Guanajuato is jus a traditional city to start. But Mexico have a lot cities. Each place is a magic. Visit mexico city, puebla, veracruz. guadalajara, merida, oaxaca. 300 more!
TY for making this video. I'm an american considering moving to Guanajuato, if Trump isn't out of the White House VERY soon. It seems such a beautiful city, and so cheap! I love that all the houses are painted different colors. It seems like a paradise for landscape artists

u forgot to see the mummies, the torture room of the catholic inquisition, the castle, the mines, the house of haunted Tia Aura, the oldest church and the acienda of alhondigasand many more places.. i been there 3 times and love it.. so peaceful and full of history..!!
Yes, there's a lot of history in Guanajuato and I wish I'd had more time to explore everywhere. I did visit the Mummy Museum and will have a video about that up shortly. Too bad there wasn't time to see more! Lucky you've been three times! Have you been to Cafe Tal? It was my favourite spot to get a coffee :)
yes time is a big deal when u visit Guanajuato specially if ur passing by.. i usually stay 3 to 4 days and they jump to other cities around.. great vids love em...!! Cheers

Not 1 but 2 completely different persons who travel the world continuously told me if they could retire in a particular city it would be Guanajuato capital or San Miguel de Allende.
Hello! Sorry for delay in writing here. That doesn't surprise me at all. They're both such beautiful and lovely places and a lot of people do retire there. The couple who owned our Airbnb in SMA, for example, were retired Canadians.

I love your videos. We just came back from Guanajuato. It was beautiful. Amazing!!! We went to San Miguel de allende also. It didn't compare to Guanajuato. We went to this horse ranch in the mountains and it was awesome. Amazing views of the mountains on horseback. Check out Guanajuato. You will love it. We usually go to Europe in the summer. Because of Covid we couldn't go to the E.U. so Mexico it was instead.

IT IS!! The city has an amazing energy (I think probably linked to the large student population at the beautiful university) and there's so much culture, history, and beauty everywhere you look. I'm so glad we were able to go :)
