And it IS walkable. Driveable? Not so much! It is only a few hundred meters from one e d of the Centro to the other, so bring good walking shoes and check out the tiendas along the way. And rest in the small plaza or sidewalk cafes.

You are too cute and fun. I arrived yesterday and it's a HOLIDAY...WOW! Everything is just as you described and I'm not just stunned but overwhelmed. It's one big party. I'm jealous of your room. I booked late not knowing and am thankful for a tiny clean room, which is just a 7 min walk to the kissing spot...although because of holiday the line was immense all day. Love you guys! I lived in southeast Mexico back in the 70’s when poverty was so prevalent but I fell in love with the people and the culture. You guys and others have inspired me to get a place down there since I still speak Spanish and thinking Guadalajara where I can make trips to places like Guanajuato.

Thank you for the excellent tour! I stayed in Guanajuato for a month and loved this place, such a beautiful, vibrant, and romantic city! We have gone to many places all over Mexico and it would get my vote as one of the most beautiful. Love the weekend street vendors and eateries. Only issue is it gets pretty busy in El Centro on weekends and be prepared for a lot of hilly walking.
