If you check a pic of Glasgow City Chambers which is behind you in George Square, you will see beside the flagpole, that Glasgow has it's very own Statue of Liberty.
Glad you liked Glasgow, but u need to spend more than a day in the city and should try a night out especially in the west end or even take in a music venue like King tutts because the city's known for its music scene. It's also just called George Square that you were at.

I don't think Glasgow's a place for tourists to do 'touristy things'. It's going to sound corny but it's a place you go to live like a Glaswegian. You go there and mingle and pick up on the culture. The first place I'd recommend you go to in Glasgow is an old pub. It's got a unique culture.

Should of walked up Sauchiehall street. Its just north west of George square. Buchanan galleries is there (big shopping centre) and the Royal concert hall. I guess the Riverside museum is another place to visit, it's along the Clyde river.

@@mitchella_co - I'm not a huge Potter fan (although my daughter is) but we went to Universal in Florida in 2017 and rode the "train" from "Platform 9 3/4“ to Hogwarts. Knowing many of the locations from Harry Potter for real - the station, the rail viaduct, Diagon Alley, the school (we live 2 miles from Harrow school) - I obviously found the Universal versions kinda fake.
