It was kind of a victory though. Even though they couldnt conquered the city they won all the battles and made the emperor run into inner germany and they dropped the siege because of the lack of logistics not because they lost a battle or anything.

"lack of unitiy he says" how many crusader raided to Ottomans and sieges Vienna relieved twice why do you think it is...
They weren't united at all times, continuous Ottoman effort to keep Christians divided in different sections and other factors made their conquest easier.
1. The Ottomans were allied to France for much of 17th and 18th century.
France ofc was one of the most powerful Christian nation during that time. They (the French and the Turks) even launched join invasion against HRE and Venice.
2. Hungary, Serbia, and Romania often requested aid from the West, during their struggle against the Turks. Yet they seldom receive any meaningful aid from the West.
3. Even during the time when the West was on the rise while Ottomans were on the decline (~1750 onward), the West continue to prop the Ottomans up, because they fear Russia, a fellow Christian state, even more than the Turks.
---
Suleiman's (or Selim's) vizier/minister once said to his master: "The Christians (referring to Holy Roman Empire, but also Christendom in general) are weak because their princes constantly quarrelling over trivial matters. But we are strong because we are united."
@@crayonsukrou913 Bro of course all time they were not united. Every county has own agenda. It is also hard find trops for someone else's war. Especiallyin defensive wars bc there is nothing to loot.
@@sayitkoral It's fine to stay neutral, but to fight on behalf, or joining a war on the side of the "infidels" against your own brethren is something else, which the Europeans quite comfortable doing.
The French did this to HRE/Venice (join the war on the side of the Ottomans against HRE/Venice), then the British did this to Spain and France (paying Barbary states to target Spanish shipping, and sending aid to the Turks against Napoleon's invasion of Egypt), and later Britain & France did it to Russia (Crimean War).
And not just in the Balkans and Middle East either. The Europeans backstabbed each other in India, China, and Japan too.
Google how the Venetians help the Muslim Mamluk Egypt and Gujarati Sultanate to fight the Portuguese in Indian Ocean, or how the Dutch help the Japanese against the Portuguese/Spanish.

As a Turkish
We were able to conquer Eastern Rome and other Balkan states because every castle, town or village lord behaves like an independent state and they don't care about their king, so it was easy for us.
We were able to conquer Anotolia because our army had more troops, was better organised and more modern.
We were able to conquer Crimea and Hungary because our technology and army system was beyond their armies.

When you think about the fact that Greeks/Byzantines had the same land/cities but couldn't take back Egypt or anything from Persia and some turkish dynasty on the same land/cities/income does it and more
It's just crazy, means that Byzantine was either horribly corrupt or something was very wrong with their system
Byzantines doctrine was more about deep and strong defense, with maybe small but certain territorial gain. They needed time to build actual administration and make bonds with new province , not just make vassals and hope they don't rebel like Ottomans. This is why Byzantine Empire survived so long , and only finally fell when whole "empire" consisted of one ruined, depopulated city under direct control of the emperor
Just look at the rize of rome. Rome incorperated all new advantageus craftsmanship a slave was able to purcase its fredom and becoming roman zitisenship. ~10 years in the army granted a roman sone basic rights. Romes neighbours became quick learners and caused a civil wars between pagan an cristian romans. First by constanin but later Belasarius vs sk "gothic romans" .
Byzantine lands were depopulated from constant warfare after fourth crusade.
The Byzantines had to defend to the East, West and North at the same time. In fact the 1204 siege of Constantinople did much more damage to the Empire than the Ottomans.
Byzantines battled arab caliphates at their peak when the turks got to them they were much weaker and war technology had changed significantly

France was an ottoman allied all the time. It wasnt about relgion, it was about power. Ottomans challenged the spanish on the sea and the german on land. So they were a logical allied for the frensh.
History repeat itself!

Less taxation than Romans and less corruption pleased the conquered people and even * some Roman administrators. There is even a Roman governor named Michael who defected first and then became Muslim. His descendants became Mihâloğlu Akıncıları (Michaelson Raiders).
I rather ask how the f*ck this large empire collapsed
Guess, falling behind? Maybe the fact it had so many ethnicities?
the fact:The Ottomans were strongly anti-Turkic, and if they had not appeared, the migration of Turkmens to Anatolia would have continued.
