- From Sunrise to the Moonlit sky of night, skillful South Florida photographer, Jeffery Salter, shares his ideas, thoughts and technical set ups for creating and capturing these amazing images.
Jeffery Salter is known for his vast array of engaging editorial and passionate portrait photography, but he makes sure to step outside of the creative box for his own personal projects. Inspired by his passion for Dance and Architecture, Jeffery is composing a beautiful Fine Art Project called, Key Bridge Dance. We joined him in the Florida Keys to capture these amazing images and watched as dancers gave new purpose to old South Florida architecture.
“With this shot I’m breaking the rules of composition and that’s what rules are made for, in photography to break them, but its important to know the rules so you can break the rules…. I am creating tension, drama, mystery, so its more than just a photograph on a page.”

One of the very few videos that speaks well to photographers. It's not pretentious, boastful or heady...just a down-to-earth portrayal of image-making in a challenging setting. Loved it.
It's something I have been doing since age 15. Much better at crafting images then sentences. Glad you enjoyed my feature. I'm still working on the project. Its a long term effort without any deadline.
Jeffrey Salter is one of the most genius force in creative photography today. From his days as a newspaper photojournalist he continues to capture the seemingly ordinary with an aesthetic that renders an extraordinary outcome. Watch a top-of-the-list master at work.
This guy is a real legend. Cool af.

Great video! Your passion for photography is reflected in your attention to every detail and in the incorporation of artistry in your work. I really liked that you explained what you were doing and why and what equipment & lighting you used to achieve the effects that you wanted.
Wow! Wonderful of you to say. I really really enjoy photography. From the lighting, gear #phaseoneiq250 , passionate dancers Monica Sharon and Adam LeGuerre to just trying to make a compelling image. Great to be able to take a moment from my bread and butter assignments to create something that truly reminds of why I picked up a camera in the first place. Thank you so much Ms Leala Mann
Amazing! They are not just dancers, they are athletes as well. I would love to have that camera, being Danish too.

Sometimes the vision is hard to verbalize, but with like minded folks around you it can be done. After all the effort but into a project its important to have the gear that just won't let you down. Love your approach to your work - amazing location ideas of rough concrete bridges juxtaposed with grace, precision and flow of the dancers' lean body movements! Respectfully, perhaps the lighting could be different though.. but that's just a personal view, no disrespect!

Nice shoots Boss................................
Thank you!
Awesome content
This is so beautiful!!!
I have a question though, how did you get the dancers to stay so sharp when the shutter speed was at 16 second? Thank you.
Kai-leen Hsueh let me take a guess. second curtain is what came to my mind. if that doesnt work then try composites. :P
Kai-leen Hsueh Flash will freeze anything at essentially any shutter speed if the flash/strobe is over-powering the sun.
It was at 1/1600 of a second and some at 1/1000
No Composites in this series. The dancers are real. Locations are real. And the capturing the decisive moment real.
Great job!
Thank you Otavio L. Leite

иа история , когда у человека есть нужные знакомства быть на виду, а снимать особо не умеет
The ugliest camera that looks like the Thing (Volkswagen 181) from the 70's.
* No IS lenses nor on body
* No 4K recording
* Eats battery
* Carrying a heavy brick out in the field is no fun.
Buy the ATG/Sony/Panasonic or Olympus would be a better choices.
+ATG Great Phase One is collaborate with Sony :)
+ATG Great
-This is a high end professional camera, not a fashion statement. It doesn't need to look beautiful, just create beautiful results, which it does.
-Don't need IS if you have powerful strobes that can over power the sun from 50 ft back
-Get a C300 if you are serious about making 4k videos.
-So does everything else.
-This camera weighs almost nothing compared to the strobe and the strobe's battery pack.
You completely missed the point of this camera, it's not made for you to hang off of your neck like some hipster accessory.
+Woody O'Neal Most of the work can be done into a home garage or home's room then cheat with Photoshop.
Many today clients are not going to pay the expensive for you to get to sites.
While many struggling photographers are dumping Canon/Nikon and going for ATG/Sony/Olympus/Panasonic/Fuji because of the tying depression time of photography.
Going small and light are the answer.
Do you want to drive a truck or a Prius in Dubai, Hong Kong or New York City?
If the pay is less than $150,000.00, my brick cameras stay in the studio.
ATG Great us correct. It does look like a Thing (VW car).
I noticed Jeffery is also using a outdated brick monolight system.
One can use ATG/Paul C Buff/Godox and can do the same thing with the added wireless radio flash adjustment, which the overpriced and no AF assist beam profoto radio transmitter can not do.
You do know that ATG has wireless radio TTL in 300ws, 400ws, 600ws and 1,000ws.
Where are you going to get a 300ws light that you can mount on your camera's hotshoe if you wanted to for shooting 1st, 2nd and hss?
So this is the illusive angelisone. It's like finding bigfoot.
www.lightingrumours.com/mysterious-internet-troll-promotes-non-existent-brand-2480
+ATG Great I love the "Volkswagen Thing". I don't need IS lenses. I don't require my medium format digital still camera to do 4K recording. My BTS crew has a red.
Eats battery? All cameras use batteries..... I never carry bricks in the sun.
Love to see your wonderful pictures.
