Great video man! I broke in a youth catchers mitt earlier this Fall, def a difference in a catchers mitt and normal infield glove. I'll be leaning on your outfield glove break in videos as I break in an A2000 OF glove for my kid after Christmas.
idk how u break them in but u should try two in the ring finger. i was primarily a catcher growing up and tried traditional, two in the pinky and two in the ring. for me, it helps keep some of my leverage closer to the web without getting my index finger blown up every pitch. it also has the perk of making it easier to close than traditional.
@@hereis20yuan42 Good point! It’s interesting because for the custom Rawlings in this video, I did one finger in the pinky slot (the loop), and two next to it. If I did two in the loop and one in the ring, it was the same leverage. I’ve seen other people put their index finger and middle finger in the same slot. I’ve heard it only works on certain brands/models though. Traditional is definitely a no-go for me, though
@@914ballgloves8 ye for me the rawlings cm33 pattern and the all star elite pro are some of the best gloves to go two in the ring. traditional is just a little hard to justify because ur index finger gets destroyed and its just harder to break in
I'm a yes on a video on loosening the pocket! Thank you for your vids.
Love all the videos bro!! Keep em coming

Did you do the same mallet work on multiple days? Or did you just play catch the following days?

Water works, dunking or hot water. Catch ready in a day
@@edwinmendez3175 Water does work, but the owner of the mitt didn’t want that so I had to go in with some elbow grease haha
