Comparing kids to current/past ML stars is NUTS!! So very many things can go wrong or don’t pan out as expected between the ages of 16 - when the predictions were made - and 24, 25 when we get an idea of what sort of player the kid has actually grown into. Finally, it’s light years from the Dominican dirt fields to MLB competition. Flashing tools is one thing; becoming an established MLB star day in and day out is quite another.

    Mantle was the Greatest ever!!
Mantle had an incredible 4 different season with 100+ RBI. .. in only 18 season played. Thats a WORLD RECORD!
AND the always hustling Mantle averaged less doubles per 162 games played than Bengie Molina, the slowest player in MLB History!
That Mantle guy was 100X better than Ohtani and Ruth put together!
    alohaha

One word….. Yogi. Height doesn’t equate to much in baseball unless it is Robbie g home runs at outfield wall or maybe a first base stretch. But everyone’s points are well taken. Let the kid play. ESPECIALLY before mentioning him in same sentence with Mantle. Cheers all
