Today I am going to show you how to make Windows 10 run inside Windows XP. That's pretty difficult to achieve, as it requires specific hardware (an early Haswell processor and a correct chipset), as well as a lot, and I mean A LOT of patience.
This video was reuploaded due to UA-cam squelching it from the very beginning. I also found a few mistakes while reviewing again, so I fixed them in the reupload.

8:00 that is why better to accordingly choose ISO's to actual Machine type... Tools are choosen by program depending on OS you have choosed. Windows 10's VM had incompatible Tools installed, and... thats it
This is what people did in the 2000's, they tried to pirate "future" versions of Windows.

Video suggestion: Make a VM that shares the C: drive (or even more things) with the host. I know that it might be pretty difficult, because most VM software have protection for this, but I don’t think it’s impossible.

1:37 A lot of computers support XP and 10 at the same time. From the 4 computers I have at home, 3 support both. They are a bit old, but I think they would support booting a windows 10 VM.
My main PC supports all versions starting with XP, from the motherboard to the cpu, I don't think my GPU is supported thought because the GPU is a lot newer than my motherboard and while it's still compatible, the GPU Drivers are gonna be a problem.

My main PC also does it has Xeon E3 1230V2 on an H61 MB. It also has a GTX 750ti which I believe has drivers for Windows XP. My other older C2D laptop also supports XP and 10 and I currently have Windows 10 running on it.

i still remember i used to run windows 7 in a VM running on Windows XP on the family computer because my dad wouldn't let me insta windows 7 directly onto the PC.

I think he meant Sandy Bridge, however I think Haswell was the last generation CPU to support Windows XP. I think ideally for a computer thats able to run both Windows XP and Windows 10 natively, you would want a PC from between 2007 to about 2012. Though not one inside the other, I do have a Dell Precision m6400 laptop from around early 2009 that I was able to set up as a dual boot of Windows 10 and Windows Vista.
Ahh nostalgic xp, I miss paint.exe xp just drawing random crap as a 7 yr old over a decade ago.

@@athafaiq1520 If you're using Windows XP as a retro nostalgia system (without the Internet on), it's okay but using it as a full daily driver is a massive security risk (plus most up to date software won't run on it no more).

Hey @Enderman, the Core i3-2350M which you said it was a Haswell-based CPU is not true, it is actually a Sandy Bridge-based CPU. Sandy Bridge architecture has native support for Windows XP while Haswell architecture does not.
Just asking, can you ever get into macOS on non-apple hardware and how it is a pain in the ass to make it work properly? Plus a little system destruction, enderman-style

it is all fun and games when you run a xp on a machine that by itself can support windows 10
try something without sse3 instruction set as a host and you hit stairs hard unless emulating faster cpu on a slower one is an option
I am plenty surprised by the performance because on one of my old backup laptops which has a 5th gen i7 forgot the number and also has a r5 m330 paired with it and 16gb ram any VM's graphics performance would be like hell draging windows will make it drag in a million pieces and closing and opening animations literally sometimes crash the VM. I don't know what to do.

You can install tiny 10 inside windows xp. I have tried it on windows xp vm and it lags a lot but it should work fine on real windows xp machine

The issue for UWP apps is you ended the initial user setup. Which also seemed to have caused alot of the bugs you were having. Next time see about letting it sit thru, it might takee foreverrrr

UWP apps need explorer to run, so if explorer is half corrupted, then UWP apps follow too.
Nesting VMs is far easier with Hyper-V. That said, Hyper-V isn't available on XP, but you might get away with VMware in your Hyper-V XP. Maybe.

my computer used to run XP in 2013 and then 7 but it was super slow and after 10 came out i upgraded and it’s better than 7 but nowhere near XP glory days, but it can run XP through 10
