During the lockdown I used my bose 700 every day like 5 to 7 hours and I love them!
These reviews really show just how different the human ear is. Dozens of AirPods Max VS videos out there, and dozens of different opinions. From an audiophile perspective, the AirPods Max have the best frequency response between the Bose and the Sony, but again, that’s just how a machine hears them, not your ear.
Honestly if you want to know which sound best, you’re going to have to try all three yourself with your ears. Watching UA-camrs tell you which sound best is like having them tell you if Rock or Country music is best - it depends on your taste, ears, and preference.

You didn't talk much about noise cancellation. For me, it is one of the most important features. I like being able to eliminate outside noise. I have used Bose for several years on long flights between the US and Thailand. A single 16-hour flight makes it worth the $300 price tag to be able to hear yourself think.
I literally love how the Bass sounds on the Bose 700, it literally seeps through the audio soo naturally
Bose is the best I’m not sure about the Apple ones I would be afraid to spend a lot of money on something and not know exactly what I’m getting where with Bose I always know what I’m getting
They do sound pretty good. I wear headphones most of the time throughout the day and after so many hours they started making my skull hurt around my ears where the pads rest. I tried stretching the headband out some and that didn’t help at all. No one talks about this about the 700. But maybe I am in the minority for wearing them all day. Still very good sound though.
I listemed to both and i liked the bose better . On the max volume lacked i expected more for a more premium headphone .
As someone whose owned the 700s, Bose sound quality is great, but consistently after a year and a half of use, the earcups wear out/tear. Since the warranty is only one year, Bose says they “cannot” repair out of warranty products, forcing you to pay give or take 350 USD to replace. I’d honestly go with the maxs for the repairability.

I bought the Bose QC35 II in 2018. I still love them and they work perfectly to block out television. They were sold at the Apple Store.
They are still the best design and the most comfortable to wear. Bose, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
I have the Bose 700 and I love them. I use them everyday multiple hours a day. I also love that they’re plastic because they’re light and I forget they’re on my head while using them.
I do love airpod max. The sound quality is the best. But it’s too heavy for my head. I have to take it off every 30 mins. Also I have a bigger head. So it’s very tight for my head. The airpod max doesn’t have the warm ear issue unlike the Bose. If you don’t mind the heaviness, def choose the Apple.
The aipod max in my country cost around 800$ and the bose Nc 700 only cost around 430$ and I will pick the bose cause the difference is only a little and the sound quality is more than enough for most of the people and I think the bose ones are more value for money

The Bose NC 700 sound amazing with the Bose EQ. I listen to classic rock and they kick! They are loud and crystal clear at full volume. They are super comfy and the ANC works fine for me.
I hate the sound of the AirPod max clacking together.

Regards the AirPods not having an adjustable eq, why not change the eq in the music settings menu? Plenty of adjustment to be had there?

Nope, only works in the native Music app. So if you use Spotify, watch movies, stream from XM, Pandora, Tidal, iHeartRadio, or literally any others those settings won’t work.

@@JimRastall it’s still a good point. A lot of people who invest in the AirPods Max will be heavily entrenched in the Apple ecosystem. I’ve watched dozens of reviews and none have mentioned the Apple Music EQ option. It’s buried weirdly in settings but it’s there and worth a mention. I use it with my AirPods Pro occasionally.

The Bra is completely useless. People just going to get 3rd party case and leave that Bra in the closet. Prepare to spend more on the $550 headphone.

I have the Bose 700 and their the best headphones I’ve ever used I actually just ordered a second pair so I have probably close to 1,000 dollars in headphones lmao.
Ok so this review started off wrong you really chose that case over a hardshell case saying it's a lil slippery. I've heard it all if I pay 549-600 I want a hardshell case some with a little more protection. 🍎 Insider and haven't anyone noticed the damn thing doesn't fold up where in 2020 and apple couldn't make it fold . The name says it all
I hate that apple case, too many compromise for $550.
Andrew, Have you tested a wired connection using the Apple Lightning to 3.5 Audio cable ($35) and Apple USB-C to 3.5 Audio Adapter ($9) for a wired connection to an iPad Pro with a USB-C Port???? Have a safe Holiday and New Year ahead.!!

I had some 3 Quiet Comfort Boses over the years and found them at all times very good sounding. But: every model I had got damaged leather rims after some time. The replacements were relatively expensive and not available for the joint bugle.
The Bose pads are very soft but they do deteriorate quickly. There are some third-party replacements that I purchased; not quite so soft but last much longer and far less expensive.
I own the 700‘s for a year now and for what they have to do, they are great. Super comfortable, build quality is okay, they sound good and the noise canceling is amazing. AirPods Max are just way to expensive for a consumer type headphone.
AirPods are always better. Apple is always better

Bought the Bose 700 today on a Christmas Eve sale. Got them for 250$ instead paying 700$ for the AM☺️ for the price difference I’ll hope I’ll be happy with the Bose ones 😉 so now I have money left for iPad Air 4😀

As the actual content of this vid, I appreciate the comparison but actually the Bose are one of the weakest competitors to the AirPods Max since the Bose have really weak mids. I liked the MacRumors vid where he looked at the XM4s, Momentum3s, and the Bose
Bose is just the most popular, so went with it for the first compare. Like I said the AirPods Max won in miss and highs but felt more neutral in comparison. Max did have a larger soundstage though. I’ve got compares against Sony XM4, Bowers and Wilkins P7, Master & Dynamic MW65x and more coming down the line. Spent 15 minutes in this vid just comparing to one set so it wouldn’t be possible to compare to 5 others in a single shoot.

Certainly no dis towards Sony. Bose (at least was) ranking higher at Best Buy and Amazon. Sony’s will be coming soon.
Good review. The Bose NC 700 is a very underated headphone and you cover its positives well in this review. I would add that the NC 700 also has amazing phone call quality which makes them a great all-day use. Being very invested in the Apple ecosystem however for both personal and work use I have ordered my AirPods Max and I predict they will become my main headphone once they arrive. So I agree with your overall view of these products.

I like almost everything about the Airpods Max but that ugly looking case has swayed me to buy Sony WH-1000XM4s instead.Upgraded from Bose QC 35i.The NC 700s didn’t feel as comfortable and superior in audio quality when tested against Sony’s.
I wish you addressed which one cancels noise better. I want one for flying and that’s the most important feature to me.
I returned my airpods max because they are not confortable for me. It is too heavy in my opinion. It clamps too much on the head to compensate for the weight. And the earpads foam is not very soft

Some input on the NC700s. I’ve had these for three ish years. The earcups, yeah they’re comfortable, but they wear and sometimes tear after a year and a half. These are $450!! The warranty is dogshit, design is dogshit because you have to replace the headphones and drop 350 dollars if you want to fix the earcups. As someone who owns these, I really don’t recommend. Just spend the extra $100 bucks. You won’t have to spend $350 bucks every year and a half for something that’ll keep breaking.
Bose.Com has them for $279. No-brainer. Returned my AirPods Max - Silver for Bose Noice Cancelling 700 - Luxe Silver. Overall kind of similar design too.

AirPods case is terrible I can’t just throw those sim my book bag plus they force you to lose the case or they are going to die. So even if I’m doing something simple as shopping I have to bring that weird ass case with me every where I go
I used to love my Bose 700s, but then I got the AirPods Pro and the sound quality is night and day between the two. Given what Apple were able to do with tiny earbuds, I’m super keen to see how the AirPods Max sound

AirPods Pro are junk I’ve had them for the past 6 months and one thing I will say about them that they are extremely convenient with the “Hey Siri” feature and being able to read your text messages to you but by no means is the sound quality that great. There is zero difference ZERO!!!! Between them and the old wired headphones that came with the iPhone before ZERO DIFFERENCE they couldn’t hold a candle light to Bose

People can judge they own financial condition. To much of the comparison is based on pricing. Stick to the comparison, and let people care about the pricing. You should use as title: Value for money : Apple vs Bose"
Totally agree. Personally, I think I kept things nice and unbiased here. Sticking just to the facts and numbers. On the opinion part -- audio quality -- I gave the edge to Bose over AirPod Max. I don't think "better buy" is inherently divisive here but would encapsulate "value for money." Which is a better buy can include: for the money, for your device, for audio quality, etc. I love my AirPods Max but there is a price difference between the two and people will have to decide on their own based on what we cover in this video if it is worth it.
I think I would pick up the Sennheiser HD660S for 100 bucks less than the AirPods, unlike the apple headphones, they are actually worth the money.
He never mentioned the case for the Bose 700 can charge your headphones while in the case
Thanks for doing this over the Sony ones. I looked and listened to both the Bose and the Sonys yesterday and the Sony is really, really cheap feeling. The Bose were a bit better but still seemed expensive for how light and plastic they felt.
Who cares about build quality? The Sony's have better sound quality, are more comfortable, have way more features, better battery life and are cheaper. You'd have to be a moron to buy the Bose
@@MichaelM28 Not really, if it's the XM4 headphones you're refering to, I got a set from Amazon, had popping sounds in the right earcup and returned. Never bothering with Sony stuff again.
@@MichaelM28 yea I went through 4 different models of Sony earbuds all had some sort of problem. I bought the Bose because the Sony’s for me have been a really bad experience. But I have a pair of AirPods max getting tomorrow to see if I need to upgrade from the Bose

Thanks for the comparison as am fan of Bose but like the AirPods more. Apple ecosystem is very convenient. What people see as disadvantage in AirPods is an advantage for me. I always have problem with connection with my Bose.

Both Bose NC700 and AirPods Max are garbage. I own QC35 and I'm quite happy with that.
A massive issue with the Bose though is that the new app SUCKS. It fails often.

No wired mode, no charger included; big news: people doesn't charge one device at a time to "save the planet", no leather pads included, no on/off switch, if I lose the case or if it get damaged the headphone becomes unusable and it does not cover properly the headphone, heavy.
