My friends used to be radical Iphone appologist fan boys until we went for a hike and used the S-Pen to control the camera when mounted on a tripod just like you said. S-Pen and DeX mode are 2 things that turn the Ultras into something much greater than a smartphone.
I thought i didn't want the S-pen. Got a great deal (less than 600 USD for an s24U), so bought the phone anyway. I don't think I can study without it anymore, it lets me do math and draw visualisations anywhere I want, saved me a ton of time in just the month ive had it. When I had to explain how to do a difficult calculus/geometry/induction problem to a friend while on the train, I write down my working in 5 minutes instead of spending 30 minutes explaining wtf im trying to do. Insanely useful.

Also, (if you've turned this setting, might be on by default) in the notes app you can draw a polygon/shape and hold it on the screen it will make perfect shape. (Stars and lines too!)
This helps so much! I actually work in I.T lol and I switched from iOS to my S24 ultra this year and have learnt there is quite a bit of assumed knowledge with phones now days. Like I've barely understood how many features where built into this phone. Thank you for helping me use my spen! Hopefully now i use it instead of it filling my s hole.

Just bought this phone for $950, seems like a good deal. Used to have Sony phones then huawei and finally an iPhone, back to android now! I love the huawei with their knuckle gesture and multitasking features/split screen apps hopefully I can do something similar with the Samsung!
Can you comment on why/how to fix when the convert to handwriting does not add spaces when there are additional line feeds on the page. Some fields are small, and so adding linefeeds increases the size/area to write (e.g. in calendar) but once you add linefeeds the automated spacing does not work.
I have a feature request I hope Samsung could consider. It would be great for the note page or space to extend horizontally beyond the screen similar to the way MS Excell has "limitless" horizontal space. This would make writing more comfortable i believe.
The S-Hole. Damn that got me unexpected. 🤣 I remember being fascinated by my Dads Note Tablet, like 10 Years ago now. Nowadays I can (will) be using my S24 Ultra mostly for organizing Stuff on the Go. It is really time saving and incredibly convenient to combine a powerful Phone and the Pen Stuff, which I used "only" with my Convertible and Tablet so far. I just wanted to find out what you can do with it. I'm considering the Ultra just because I've enjoyed my S20 FE and I want to experience a truly top of the line device for once. The pen isn't the main draw, but I think there's certainly some features that will come in handy. That's the thing I've found with Samsung's UI. There's plenty of little tucked away features that I don't use every day, but I'm sure glad there're there when I need them. Stock Android feels so bare bones now in comparison.

Was hoping you'd cover this but may have missed it, on the Samsung commercial where the guy has all the iPhone models but finally gets a Samsung it shows him using the s pen to write a text but the message box is big, unlike my s24 ultra you are confines to the small text box for handwriting which is awful to me, or can you make the box bigger when writing a text to someone ?
My notification that's supposed to warn me of leaving my sPen behind used to work, but now it doesn't anymore, and i updated the phone as well. Any idea on why is that?

The spen is one of my favorite things about my s23 ultra, I use the stars wars light saber sound effect hahaha its exciting and the gestures are brilliant

Can't be the phones fault that you lose something, especially when there is a dedicated storage space for it AND a reminder setting that let's you know when it's not back in its place
Tbh, these are all gimmicky things for me. Having used phones since childhood, I cannot find any substantial value in having this pen. It is cool but not productive. Samsung would have been more competitive if they had increased the battery size or included cooling equipment instead.

Tried making a gift using the smart select there is no option for that is it accurate that feature was removed with an update

If you go into Advanced Features and then the S Pen menu, you will see the last time it was removed and maybe you and retrace where you were?
