So breath taking. I hope I get the chance to make it to Palo Alto one day. That area of California is the prettiest scenery I've ever seen. Would love to be able to see it in person.
I lived in Palo Alto from 1977 until moving to NYC in the mid 90s. It was a quiet, hippie-type town back then: a hardware store, a countercultural bookshop, Plowshare, on University across from the Good Earth health food restaurant, a place that sold Native American items ... even a porn theater, the Paris Cinema, near where University ducked under the train tracks. It's like Emerald City these days, beyond anything I could have imagined back then. Yet I still see things I recognize here and in the Mountain View video too. Thanks for the tours!
I've been in the Bay Area all my life and it has definitely changed in architecture. Thank you for stopping by and hopefully returning to view my other videos. Be well and stay healthy my friend :)
I think its been almost a year since I've been down town. La Jolla and Siam Royal are amazing places to eat. Also grabbing a slice ate Pizza My Heart is amazing with the fountains. Bell's books is also cute. I worked at the now gone David'sTea ( 4:47) right next to the Walgreens.I love Palo Alto since we spent there a lot of time in my childhood. Oh of course, Stanford Mall!
I miss my hometown! Palo Alto has such a unique character and I miss driving on the rolling hills over by Stanford. PA is such a pretty town in California.
Palo Alto seems a lot nicer than San Jose, going by the related driving videos. PA looks like the streets are thinner, there are more street stores, and therefore better walkability lifestyle.
Mike Post Hi Mike, thanks for stopping by. Palo Alto is nicer and also safer than SJ. It’s home to Stanford University, Hewlett-Packard and a number of tech companies. Are you thinking about relocating?
For people who don't know. If you take the bus VTA from the south bay, Palo Alto is the last stop. To continue north you must take sam's trans, muni or Caltrain!
Thank you for producing this wonderful video! I have to travel to an area close to the route taken, I am now a lot more comfortable driving to the area, rather than taking the (albeit wonderful, not my car) transit system.
Apple Park will be one of the biggest iconic and architectural triumphs humanity has created.. just the simple circular shape and how the rooftop is completely solar panels! Incredible af
to be honest you hardly see cars like that. We tend not to be as flashy as people from LA. Once in a while you will though. Basically the more expensive the least often. Not to mention that Palo Alto streets tend to be very narrow.
Mase Travels I am from FL but it is not easy to say how things compare. Thanks 4 your response. I would like to visit CA and move west. Shopping around...
@@belleepoque3631 not sure how much would be needed to live there, but according to niche, the median home value is $2,000,000, the median rent is $2,471 and median household income is $157,000 a year.
@@belleepoque3631 Average rent is about $3000. Home usually between 2.2 and 36 million. Of course depends on locations. Food is fairly priced although luxury store and higher end restaurants do exist. Most people like me tend to live in the South Bay, minus Los Gatos or Alum Rock (rich people areas). Have a blessed day 👋🏼😀 and remember to smile!
