Yorkie Won't Share His Treat

- Our Yorkie expects us to share with him whenever we are eating, so when the front desk clerk at the motel we were staying at, gave him a dog biscuit, I wanted to see if it worked the other way around. Apparently, it doesn't.

Nothing more precious to a yorkie than their treat
Yeah
Yorkies are very instinctually protective of their own ‘stuff’ i.e. food and toys etc, because they are so small so they think they need to guard it more!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Naruto hash needs to be turned into the police if it's true in what he said. He would be charged with a felony fined & probably do time!
@@narutohashimoto5525 You are a sickening
"human being", and you can stay off my channel.
@@janicesmith5360 Let's hope the idiot was just running his mouth and trying to sound tough. People like him are lacking something in life, so that they need special attention.
@@narutohashimoto5525 lol
I like when a yorkie makes the grrr sound it's funny lol
Me Too, so bad that one day my little nephew was messing with him and I told him to stop and he said Nanny I like hearing that noise, and truthfully I did too, that was until a few minutes later he snapped at my nephew's fingers to leave him alone. Then with my crazy self I said, I told you to leave him alone
ADORABLE!!! Yorkies are no different than a Hershey's Kiss: Little and sweet. And feisty, too! We've had two and they are such a blessing. A feisty blessing, but a blessing! 🤣
Every time I tease my yorkie taking her chew stick she just grabs it and move to the corner of the couch hahaha.
Ezackly
Yep mines pick his up and keep moving to another spot until I stop
Yeah
Reminds me of my Yorkie Fritz when he was younger. Give that dog a toy and he would go berserk if you tried to take it/got ahold of it. Such loud growling and anger. He was trained that way by a past boyfriend of my sister. We loved it so much. He eventually got old and stopped playing. Still miss that silly pupper
Don't mess with my food pops! A small package of a lot of ruff.❤
He's literally saying " no, no, no" lol! My Yorkie constantly says no. It's so funny! He does share his food though. He is very good with sharing, which is surprising for a Yorkie. Lol
They are truly hilarious. Great dogs!
Even after all these years this is adorable. You know she/he loves you otherwise she/he would have ripped your arm off and beat you with it. Thanks for the smile little Yorky gave me this morning. subbed/likie
Lol! Are you kidding! What's mine is mine and what's your's is MINE!!!!
They love doing that little growl while they eat and you pester them. It was one of the fun parts of owning a yorkie.
LoL My yorkie to the T! He even looks exactly like him 😁 They're the best aren't they!?
Ohh yes, amazing breed.
You need to see when I try to move my Yorkie's bed. It's just like that 😂
Omg! So viscous... Toto has these qualities but he's a huge softie really. 😆😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh what a little pig he reminds me of all of the yorkies I had very protective of their things that is a true characteristics of them but on the other hand very loving and amazing watch dogs absolutely brilliant x ❤️
The only dog with a personality. Love Yorkie
Yes, people may not believe it but my friend is my witness, mines has the nerve one day to stop look bad at me with an attitude then appeared to roll his eyes at me before he turned back around and went got in his bed like I told him to do.
THEY ARE A MESS, BUT I LOVE MY LITTLE DUKE
Apparently you haven't met a shih tzu 💗. Totally different personalities, but both are characters.
This is exactly how my Yorkie behaves.
Lol. He's adorable.
I’ve only ever notice my Yorkie doing this when ever there eating something they REALLY like
Isn't it incredible how Yorkie's are all over the world yet they all behave in the same way! They are hardwired to act this way, born ratters, born adorable with huge personality. I'll neve have another breed.
This is too cute and brings back memories of my Tiki (may he rest in peace). Be very careful sharing human food with these little fellows. Unlike larger breed dogs whose systems can handle leftovers from the table.... these same foods are toxic to small breeds over time and can cause pancreatitis which in my case caused a 5-day hospital stay and a $1,300 vet bill to bring my little Yorkie back to life. Human treats are never worth them coming close to losing their precious lives.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your Tiki. Yes, we are very careful about what foods they get. In fact, this is actually a dog treat that he is eating in the video, that was given to him at the front desk of the pet-friendly motel we were staying in that week.
And yes, you are correct about many human foods. We have the "list" of foods not to give them...chocolate, onions, meats with lots of fat or salt seasonings, grapes, etc. The human foods that our vet, and my research, has said are okay, are...boneless chicken breast boiled/grilled (no seasonings), boiled eggs, etc. They do get those, on occasion...but none of the bad stuff.
And you are correct...Even though they stare at you when you're eating, and beg you for something off your plate, it just isn't worth their health.
too much fat in human foods
Yeah
Haha! My Yorkie does this with his toys. Everyone who freaks out and says this is a stressed out dog or an out of control dog should just stuff it. They don't know you, they don't know your dog. My yorkie does this with his toys and he loves it, he isn't scared or stressed. It's his way of playing. :)
exactly, they are we jokers, growly jokers.
This is hilarious haha!! I have a yorkie that takes alllllll the toys away from our new boxer puppy (who outweighs her by 50 pounds) and she'll hide them under her blanket in her crate.. I call her my little theif lmao
This must be over 100 times I have watched this. Some say it's bad behavior, but when it's this cute & basically harmless then who cares. He is a very handsome pup & extremely well groomed. There's nothing better than watching Yorkies eat😁💞🐶
Thank you! Glad to see that someone is able to just watch a funny video and enjoy it, without feeling like they have to be insulting. I had to remove a comment from some woman the other day, because she couldn't refrain from calling my dog names. Glad you enjoyed it.
Bunchee032 you are so wright🐾💕💕
He/she has conquered the bed therefore...You are owned. Pretty cute though.
Lol. Double standards. Going to test my Yorkie.
😂
Lol this is so funny and adorable
This made my yorkie bark and she very rarely barks. lol so cute!~
My Yorkie was only feisty with toys. We always share.
I think that was a hard NO ❤😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣my yorkshire does the same exact way!!! That’s how they are!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣💕💕💕💕💯💯💯😘 Cutie..lol
Yepper-pepper, a typical Yorkie! 90 seconds later, he'll lick your face off! 😉
Yorkie is saying, "Don't be weird, you are on your own".
So cute!❤️❤️❤️❤️💋
Wow he really said "NO GO AWAY now"
Such a goblin 😭❤
my dog does this. I swear he says “no” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
At the end it sounds like he says No, no, no…🤣
Yes, it does
U need to ask him right...keep the amazing work coming
My Gunner boy does this exact thing. And he looks really similar to yours!
“I take it we have a double standards here”… mere mortal human servant
I have a friend who start out hand feeding his yorkie and when she got older she didn’t have food aggression towards him
Lol, my yorkie does that too! We'll give him food and he'll be like, "NO! It's mine!"
You wouldn't even have that food if it wasn't for us...
Awe so cute but doesn't like to share. Oh my thanks for sharing your cutie pie.. very amazing 🤩 with my kindest thoughts and truest respect for you always Melody aka the lostgirl is me 💜❤️🙏
Thank you so much for your comment. You sound like a very sweet person.
@@DerrickH1969 your most very welcome .. Love ever so kindly Melody aka the lostgirl 😊
My dog does the SAME thing!! Except my dog does that with her meal
I heard him growl that no, no, no.
Is this Pierre, loved one that just passed in July? SO SORRY FOR LOSS. 😢 💘
Thank you for your kind words regarding the loss of our Pierre. No, this is the other Yorkie that you see in some of the pictures with Pierre. In fact, they have two completely different personalities. Pierre never once growled or snapped at either of us. He was a rescue, and he just seemed to appreciate the home he had, and was a lap dog. Although we only had him for the last 6 years and 4 months of his life, his veterinarian estimated him to be about 15 years old. And in all of those 6+ years, he never once showed any aggression at all toward us.
The one in this video, we have had since he was 8 weeks old. He's 10 years old now, and he has the exact opposite personality.
Tooooo cute😄😍😌
This made me laugh!
I told my sister I would like a yorkie, she said oh they just think there all that & a bag of chips, I said that's cuz they are.
I use to do this same thing with my Yorkie and act like I wanted some of his food and would get the exact same result. Then I would laugh my butt off. No better entertainment.
They certainly are hilarious, in their small bodies and big personalities. They think they are large dogs.
Double standard confirmed.
Yorkie are all funny. 😁
From the sound of things ======I don't think she;s going to share with you lol
I love how dogs beg for food yet if humans beg for there food there like “get away”
True 😂
@@Cosmicmorales wait squidward u don’t have a dog u had a snail
@@JunaidWolf3 lol.
😂 lol this my treat!!!
0:42 just wait he says uhh DADA
Brilliant!
I carry my 3 lb. 5 yr old yorkie-pom almost every where I go in a fanny pack hung around my neck. He dropped a small chunk of chicken McNugget into the fanny pack. I reached in and as I was pulling it out, he bite me and bloodied my hand .... he is spoiled and thought I was stealing his chicken but of course he can do no wrong. We meet a lot of people at a thrift store where people tell me he is the cutest dog they have ever seen. He has never bitten anyone else, but when people hold their hand out for him to smell, he is likely to snap at them ... if they get snapped at before I can stop them, I tell them he is mad at everyone who has not found him a girlfriend and all I want is one puppy.
I never heard Yorkers sound like that
I should post videos of Rory doing this same thing. Yorkies are the best and so funny
My aunts dogs would share at least
BACK OFF HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA👍👍😂
Naughty ! Not nice you should share with your daddy....
Terrier very beatifull
This dog looks just like my dog
No chance that little yorky is definitely not sharing his treat with you. My yorky russel stands up on his back legs to beg for food but he would also never share his food with me lol. I know not to ask lol. Good vid lovely dog too. My yorky russel also holds his chews in the same way as your dog did in this video. They kind of hold it between their paws with the chew stood up. We have to cut the chews down to the right size because he cant hold it in that way and chew the top if they are too long.
Lol...They are something else, that's for sure. No, this one is not one to share. He is 13 now, and has lost most of those teeth.
@@DerrickH1969 Awww hes an old boy now then. They do well really many breeds dont live as long. My little dog is a mix like I mentioned. Hes 8 now.
@@DV0lD Yes, he is getting up there in years. But he is still as feisty as he was back when this video was made, minus the teeth.
@@DerrickH1969 Oh good to know. My little guy wont mellow with age then. Thanks for that lol.
your dog sounds like a very fast motorcycle, LOL, one of the ones with a 4 cylinder
So
Yorkie
It hurts
You should have snatched it from his hand to see what he would have done 😅
Yeah, I could have. But it was his, and I was just wanting to get the reaction for the video. He wouldn't have been acting like that, had I not been bugging him.
@@NCMemoryMakers would he have bitten you
@@JeffMen103 Possibly. Didn't try to take it and find out. He is very possessive.
VERY ANGRY YORKIE
How cute😊😊
This is so funny. LOL
Yorkies only share in one direction, I suspect mine would work for wall street if he was a human, hes got that kind of a personality.
TerribleTed is a narcissist, our cairn Toby that outweighs him by 15lbs is afraid of him.
our Yorkie would never bite us on purpose, one time she was playing and bit me accidentally- her face was really worried and she was checking to see if she hurt me. I could take her food and she won't growl at me, she only runs to the food to try to take it back. Ive never even seen her wolf howl.
To dog this may be its last meal, like wolves it holds onto the wild instinct.
0:44 I had a Chorkie that this numerous times.
😄 my twinkie
I really❤this video
Yes, he is a very funny dog. Always has been. He is 14 now, and doesn't have his teeth anymore, but he's still going strong.
At the end of the video, he literally said “nom nom nom”
lmao
Don't feel bad, mines don't like sharing that much.
But I actually did get him to share a few times.
And Yes, they don't hesitate to beg for our food
My Yorkie will seriously bite over food and has several times.
My yorkie does the same lol
Is this my dog?😂
I thought I was the only one!
LOL mine does the same thing.

I don’t share my treats lol.
❤💝😘
It’s not a double standard. It’s called a yorkie Standard. Loo
my Yorkie does the same thing she gets mad if you want her to share
My Yorkie did exactly the same thing
My yorkie does the exact same thing.
Does anyone who hand feeds their dog have this problem ?
My Shorkie is the 16 and a half pounds 9 months old a trained service dog he is trained to pick up things for me comfort me no one I am in hurt because I am disabled he's very intelligent and still growing he's like a Shorkie on steroids he's a lot bigger than either his mother or his father he's bigger than the two of them put together the vet says he's got probably going to max out at about 20 lb which is possible this shih Tzu is a little bit bigger than me Yorkie you can take him into home Depot or to a restaurant and tell him to set and he will not move all you have to do is feed him treats
Yorkies and shih tzus are both very intelligent mine goes with me everywhere
My Yorkie does this. She eats it just like that as well
They’re so selfish 😭
But cute at the same time.
My girlfriends dog is exactly like this 😂I slap her booty and she starts trying to bite me 😭😭
