DAHLIA TOUR | Dahlia Mandrew grows Giant Dahlias

Here's a little Dahlia Tour through the dahlias on September 12th to have a look at some of the varieties doing there thing! Nice to have lots of blooms. I'm cutting about 85-90% of what grows to sell on the flower stand or at the market, so it never looks quite as full as it could but that's okay by me. Enjoy the tour I was a bit lazy with it. If the patch has another huge bloom fest I'll try to get another tour of it before the frost. This is in Union Ontario, next to Port Stanley. Growing zone 6b.

Outstanding! Looks like your season was a hit. Congrats. My season was a hit and miss. However, i collected some open pollinated seeds. I can't wait to see what my seedlings will look like for the 2024 growing season.

I think your purple ball is “Ivanetti.” Do you fertilize at all? An absolutely beautiful collection.

Wow nice! It does like similar. The petals on ivanetti look a bit tighter / bit more maroon but i could be wrong. The centres are a bit too open on mine, but maybe thats my fault. I do i use Gaia Greens Power Bloom mostly.
