This was definitely very helpful I literally just brought it home and haven’t played with it at all. I was wondering if they have a cookbook out to help those of us who have never used a machine like this to make soup… A recipe book really would be very helpful I am not that creative when it comes to cooking… Lol

SOUP TIP: Add cooked orzo pasta before serving to make the soup heartier.

Yes you can make the most time-consuming loud soup you've ever made when you could make that in a just about anything including stove top much faster or you can make a smoothie you could make in any sort of blender or with a whole lot of paddling and scooping and scraping make something like hummus. I would take this back if I still lived where I bought it!!!

Thank you. It is still working very well. I use it a few times a week. I recently made cauliflower soup using small chucks of raw cauliflower and it had no trouble puréeing the cauliflower. The soup was so smooth no chunks were left at all.
@@MesseswithMichelle Thank you for the reply. I've read mixed reviews on amazon for this blender as some had issues with some plastic shredding on the top of the base. Not sure if it was blending or cooking that was the cause.
interesting, the blender looks great. questions though, how easy is it to get a replacement lid? since the locking tabs on it look thin and easy to break if you accidentally drop it. second, how does this compare to something like the Vitamix series of blenders and is there a way to manually control/pulse the blender without the need of a timer running like you can do with a standard blender?
The pitcher is a great size but it is made of glass. I broke my pitcher and haven’t been able to find a replacement without having to buy the entire unit. What I remember all modes are timed but there is an option to pause or cancel the timed cycle. I checked Instant Pots website and if you need replacement parts try contacting customer service. I'm going to try and hopefully find a replacement pitcher. I really enjoyed the blender.

This helped alot. I was given this pitcher. I really didn't know how to use it. No instructions. And it's brand new. You said there's 4 cold and 4 hot . What else can I make beside a smoothie, and soup. Can I use it to make margaritas, thanks so much for your help!
I’m glad my video was helpful. You can definitely make margaritas. The blender does a great job crushing ice. I’ve made ice cream using the frozen dessert option. Instant Pot has a recipe book online instantpot.com with a lot of recipes from oat milk, soups and ice cream. I made the blueberry cheesecake ice cream and it was really easy to make and very good.
Video is good, There are several functions that you don’t say anything at all about such as pulse it also has two functions but I don’t know what they’re used for
The pulse feature can be used for short bursts of blending to break up larger chucks of food. The same pulse button is also to self clean the machine by adding water after use, the cleaning cycle has short burst to clean the inside of the glass pitcher.

Now there may be a video available for what I’m going to ask for but for those of us like I posted before not that good at this may be a video on the basics of how to build a soup in this type of machine i.e. the amount of liquid say cream or broth etc. can one make a cream stupidness I guess I really don’t know how to use it… Lol

Where is the soup recipe?
The recipe can be found on Chowhound. The name is classic tomato soup. The recipe is for stovetop but can be easily made in the blender.

Blending it on the highest speed for 4 and a half minutes there's no sign of the cream thickening even though I made the container cold and the cream was already quite cold.😮😡😡😡😡😖💀
you need a better mic. can hardly hear you
It's also so loud it sounds like a jet engine taking off and there's no shouting over it, so you'll beg for it to be done and there was no way that I would make soup in it. You have to vacate the kitchen while it's working so no such thing as shortening your meal prep by doing whatever the blender does and doing your chopping and cooking in between. I would lie and say it makes glorious smoothies but it doesn't do that either. By the time it gets them fine-grained enough to make a smoothie the bottom part is warm and pretty much melted so that it's not a very cold smoothie and what cold there is doesn't last very long. If there are a bunch of special rules for this machine I can say it's still a massive disappointment. Your average decent blender from the 1980-90ss made a better smoothie
