It would make the most sense to me that the wire type structures on their uniforms would be some sort of heating units. This would help them be more active in any environment being that they are cold blooded.

They actually use tubing to cool things down in most cases. Cars for example use heater and radiator hoses. PC's use copper tubing on their CPU heatsinks, etc. I guess they could pump hot liquids through them. But, they aren't in contact with the skin and they are exposed to air, which would cause heat loss. My guess is that they're decorative.

I think the due to what you said about the aquatic-xindi with their massive flagship. They could have been the engineers of the xindi. The could of been the Star Trek equivalent of the Star Wars Mon Calamari, which was as an aquatic species that built massive ships. It is just a theory, but I think it is a good possibility.

I think that's referred to in the show because the aquatics are the ones doing the building of the 7 million dead probe and the final weapon (writing final weapon makes me really think ENT season 3 is written like a final fantasy game in space)

I find the idea of five sentient species fascinating, directly in relation to my understanding of the evolution of life on Earth, being punctuated with natural disasters that wiped out never less than three quarters of all extant species. Had we never had a single mass extinction event, and all of the original lineages of Life had been able to cooperate and/or compete with one another, our planet may have developed multiple sentient species a billion years ago. It also interests me, trying to figure out their relationship not only with other species within the Xindi, but also to all of the humanoid species in the Galaxy, given the cannon idea that the reason that most are bipedal humanoid is due to genetic interference from a founding species billions of years ago. I can Envision the xindi being fascinated by the Vulcan idea of idic, infinite diversity in infinite combinations, and deciding to find another suitable home World, we're not only all five xindi species could live together, but we're, given at their time modern genetic reproductive assistance technology, they could, in theory, create a single unified xindi species comprised of all five original members. Of course, this is reminding me of how Earth is turning out to be today, where we have had major group formations outside of Africa, plus the Home Field genetic diversity found within Africa, all these groups' new alleles finally being able to reunite in descendants whose ancestors were common a million years ago or more. Alleles of genes are coming together here on Earth that have never come together before. Of course, it is more interesting from a sci-fi perspective when those coming together are of entirely different species and planets, but hey, we have lots of diversity to enjoy and knit together here presently. Let's celebrate it!

No, they're more likely to be slat armor. In the real world, slat armor is a row of bars attached to armored vehicles to protect against the detonation of shaped charge munitions by stopping the detonation or having them detonate before hitting the main hull to minimize their power. As the video said, the reptilian armor traps the energy of phasers before the beam hits the person which falls inline with real world applications of slat armor.

In Star Trek Online, they are shown as members of the Federation, though they have their own ambassadors for when a situation may benefit from their experience. A Xindi-Primate Ambassador shows up during the Dyson Sphere Conference.

well not trekey . but look star map that syblole of federation. each show start earth moves further and further out. enemies become friends in next show. so guessing that either part of federation or like Klingons they have none aggression pack. as formable agents earth just start off space. it hard picture them do much harm agents borg or alution aliance or even romans. so further move out space big threat higher stakes. as most gazey of 4 quadrants most explored. interesting when federation decided leave milk way to another galley 4 new qudrents. will intesting what new threats be. also treaky time line been reset. so long hull get back to new qalizey as movies back organize stare track at moment. yet see all play out second time around.

It's not a true contradiction; the ST universe is teaming with absurdly high numbers of alien civilizations (which are clearly rare in real life), so it's not unrealistic for them to go unmentioned at the expense of species (e.g., the Romulans) that ARE mentioned frequently. To use an anology to real life, do infequently mentioned real-life peoples such as the Beninese and the Mosuo become less real for lack of being often mentioned?
