My 2 cents.... you've built this channel. Your audience loves you and I'm guessing most are here for you/your family/your adventures--not just the RV aspect. Even if you lose some subscribers here, building a new channel and getting to the level of subscribers you have now or even the level if you lose a few more, will take time. Not to mention getting a second channel up to monetization level--the time and effort it will take . Keep this one, shift it as things develop, lose some/gain some followers. The Homesteading RVers.... now that's a niche!

I don’t have an RV, nor have I ever rented an RV (not opposed to it, just haven’t). I stumbled on your channel about a year ago and enjoy it for who you are, and what you promote. God, Family, Country and RV life. I would continue to watch even if you do a homestead channel. Maybe incorporate them both!
Keep it rv odd couple! You still have campers on the property that we can hear about. We can also learn about the homestead. We like yall had to change with the times. We are old, so had to give up camping, but I also love to hear about the camping and the things that are going on at Thunder Canyon.

I've been the silent guy since the beginning with very few comments and think you should combine the two and continue on as you have been. I'm 85 now and RV'd all over the US and Canada since 1961. 1 1/2 years ago we sold everything after spending 10 wonderful winters on the coast at the north end of Padre Island. Probably never show up there but would sure love too. You guys have done well. I don't think I've missed a show yet. Keep in mind as you age like us it's not going to be as easy to maintain.

You could have a new channel that combines both the old and the new. RV Odd Squad and Odd Couple Homesteading and call it something like “Thunder Canyon” and cover both RV life and homesteading life for new homesteaders like yourselves. That way you do not have to recreate your channel and your followers already know what you stand for.
I was going to get a membership this month, but am going to wait until the first of the year. That way I can start my year in January. Love the new site for your home....I love the whole property with the creek and ponds and so much nature.....it is as close to Eden as we can get here on this earth right now. Be Blessed!

I have seen channels adjust their names to accommodate new changes to their channels, but you both are still very involved in the life of RV'ers,so in that respect I don't think you should change anything. You've both invited us to enjoy your journey and this is another part of your journey. Don't separate your channel. Love watching🤗❤️

Keep who you are. You have already "homesteaded" in this channel...just evolved. Still related to rv'ing...
Since you asked. Start a second channel, about homesteading. Then over a 2or 3 week period, change over. If you are losing subscribers. It might be time, for a do-over. Perhaps Homesteading, with the odd couple. Now, that looks like very still water. So maybe build enough distance, for mosquito season. Second, how hard to improve the road? So you will not get stuck. Last, monitor the snow load on the road back in to the area. May want to build a new trail in. If the snow is really deep, on the current trail. Sitting here, 22 degrees, 2 inches of snow, 3/4 inch of ice.

What a beautiful homesite! Things happen for a reason, I truly believe. You’ve built your RV channel with hard work, love, and God’s help. Don’t throw it away! As you clearly said, you love RVing and want to continue to do it. Just take a pause! OR, you can name or re-name your channel “The RV Odd Couple’s Homesteading!” There are many, many people who have learned so much from your RV channel, I would hate to see that just stop. Besides, for the last sixteen months, you have busted your butt on Thunder Canyon. You need to delegate more (IMO!) and take some well-earned and deserved me-time with your family. Get that smaller class C RV, and just GO and recharge, and reconnect with the absolute joy of RVing! You’ll need a lot of strength, determination and physical help to get that beautiful home of yours built. Take your time at it. Get it just right. Make it your perfect forever home. There is NOTHING in the rules book that says you can’t do both or have an RV channel that’s CURRENTLY focusing on building your home on your RV Campground land! Also, remember that you already have a sticks-and-bricks home right now…it’s not like you have to rush to get a new house built. Take your time, (again) do it right at a slower pace, WHILE you delegate more and still enjoy the camping (not full time!) life! Oh I don’t know, just my opinion…you’ve learned and then taught so much to others, I’d hate for you to give it all up! As-always, my love to you all, Virginia

Personally I think you should continue here. As far as the algorithm is concerned you should start another channel. Then again, those subs who have stuck it out are already here through the building of the campground. It’s still on brand because you’re the RV Odd Couple, even if you’re not living full time in the RV like you were when you started the channel. People are afraid of change. I say, bring it on!

Definitely a Homestead channel These types of channels are very popular now a lot of people are getting involved in growing their own food raising their own chickens And Cattle My wife loves watching those And me as well It gives people insight and knowledge That are not sure on how To do this and you and your wife Would be great Doing something like this We don't have that luxury We live in the city in Miami no Chickens and cows in our backyard 👊 🤣🤣

I’m a truck driver that was struck by lightning last July- lived because one of my AMAZING coworkers had the presence of mind to run to me & check my vitals. I was dead, so he started compressions & saved my life! The strike luckily only slightly damaged the nerve center of my brain. I was in the hospital 4 months & am so grateful to God, & coworker! , to be back at work- light duty in the office, until my doc clears me for retraining on the truck. I have ALWAYS loved your channel & can’t wait to visit Thunder Canyon. I’m living in N FL, so it’ll be a short trip for me- totally worth it! Good 🍀 Luck to your beautiful family.

You have built an audience, keep the channel. "RV Odd Couple" then a subtitle RV, Homestead and anything else! You both had worked hard to bring the channel at a 165K audience. The channel is about your life regardless you are in an RV or a homestead.....Run a parallel channel for those who are just interested in homestead....
Ultimately, your decision comes down to wether you want to invest your time and money into developing a new channel. Since you have already branded yourselves as the “RV Odd Couple” and your subscribers already know you as such, my thoughts would be to stay with this channel. A thought for Thunder Canyon. As remote as some of the areas are, God forbid an awful accident would happen, but perhaps you might put up markers or markers on those benches so that in an emergency people could reference that number which you would have laid out on a map making it easier to accurately locate the emergency site. Whether it be a twisted ankle or someone takes a bad tumble. This may need some refining to be most effective.

Goodness, it is hard to imagine shutting down such a successful channel. I would try to maintain it somehow, or maybe just continue the channel as the RV and Homesteading Odd Couple, or two separate channels? 🤔 That's a tough call, but I think you guys will make things work no matter which direction you go! As for the channel: I'd hate to see the RV Odd Couple go, but I see where having a Homesteading Odd Couple channel would be a tremendous blessing to SO many people. I have property (God willing I will be able to keep it), but honestly don't know what to do with it.
I know it is SO much work, but would y'all still be able to keep this channel going and have a new channel going? Realizing, of course, y'all can't post to both channels each week. Maybe this channel once a month and/or with Thunder Canyon updates, and the new channel with all our homesteading needs.

I think you should start a new channel for your homesteading journey and keep your current RV Odd Couple channel documenting experiences in the Thunder Canyon campground as well as future RVing adventures. Many UA-camrs have multiple channels, so it's not unusual. The location for your new homestead is stunning!

You current name of your channel says it all-only a few RV'ers are establishing a homestead-so that keeps your 'oddness'.
Those doing so have recently (since 2020) purchased established structures and rarely post improvements, let alone ground up.

Stay RV, you still own a RV park, so I think you could incorporate the both together. I would not lose the base you have, i would just keep the RV park in the forefront until the homesteading takes off. My thoughts tend to lend to it is too early to throw away your base. RV Odd Home Steaders as you have one foot in the park and the other in homesteading ! “RV Park Home Stead” Where life is not only odd it is Crazy full of fun. You can offer so much to RV’s newbies, that it would be a shame to throw that away.

I would do another channel: Homesteading Odd Couple. But also keep the original too and update whenever the RV park or your RVing come into play. Never wrong to have two channels instead of just one:+) My two cents:+) God bless~
