It was fun seeing you jump into frame at the beginning. Thank you for this well explained tip. ❤
You're very welcome, happy to help 👍
How were you able to determine it was a bad switch?
I believe the switch was leaking fluid. Sometimes they just stop working too. Could hook up a test light to it as well to check
Hey Jonny!! Buddy of mine used to have one of those 69 model he drove in high school. It was fairly new then!! Great blast from the past. Used it to go everywhere including cutting school many a day!! Most memorable trip was a concert we went to to see Allman Brothers before Duane Allman died.
Ohh wow too cool Larry. Allman Brothers, great band! 👍
Just curious if you needed to bleed the brakes after doing this? Thanks
I didn't, and didnt have any issues. But your mileage may vary. Just test em easy afterwards
Did you have to bleed the brakes after the install?? Looking to replace mine
I didn't bleed the brakes after and had no issues after 👍
@@JonnyDIY perfect thanks. I just replaced all the brake pads and wheel cylinders on all 4 corners..bleed them and found out my switch is bad.. did not want to go through the brake bleeding process again.... thanks for the video
@@shaunh2798 Ohh nice, yeah I gotta do a rear wheel cylinder on this one too. You're welcome, glad to help 👍
thanks 4 d video... i have 79' bay window n i think i hve same problem with the switcher... 👍👍👍
Nice 79! You're welcome, happy to help. Hope you get it fixed 🙌👍
Your bus is gorgeous😍This was awesome
Thank you! 👍
@@JonnyDIY sure thing :)
Great, thanks for the wreath sizing!
You're welcome, thanks for checking out the video 👍
Should there be a gasket on the thread end?
Not that I know of, wasn't one on the one I removed either 👍
@@JonnyDIY sounds good. Thanks for your video. I just replaced two of them on my 71 beetle, no gaskets, and there is no leaking. I wish this would have fixed my no brake light issue though. :(
@@jeremyd8270 You're welcome, glad I could help. Hmm may be a wiring or ground connection problem
👍👍
24mm, not imperial ever.
Every nut bolt, hose etc etc etc on any VW is metric.
You're correct thank you, but the 2 sizes are almost identical and it's not very tight so no worries on this job 👍
