I can’t tell you how much your jobs are appreciated. 🙌🏽❤️
Leonaza7 you’re everywhere
I’ve noticed you around UA-cam and you are a very hateful racist black woman/man.
Who is this wamen I see her on every cmt of snl
Love this kind of video! More behind the scenes, please.
There is SO many behind the scenes videos in the Creating Saturday Night Live playlist.
Now a video about the cameramen that
were filming these cameramen in this video
Thanks for creating this! Honestly, seeing that crane is always a highlight of the show for me! lol. I especially like it bc with newer cranes and small jibs you could do almost the same camera shots. But you choose to keep the full sized crane and utilize it. And I love you all for that. Amazing crew. Thank you all!
Joysticks can't replace a human. That crane is on point.
I never knew the clock went up into the rafters like that.
I just learned that right now!
Me neither!
I couldn't tell you why, I just love behind the scenes information. You get so much insight into how passionate and hard-working the staff are, and these miniseries shine a light on people we normally don't see personally. I find it super nice and I greatly appreciate all that the actors, writers and other assorted staff do!
This is a FANTASTIC little documentary, and I would love to see more like this from SNL. What a great look into the making of the magic on this show!
Love SNL .Thanks for all the good laughs.

The SNL Band and the crane camera. Two of my favorite things. And remember from 1998 to 2003 when the credits are over you see the crane camera go up.
These videos are a dream as a middle school drama teacher. I love having something to share with the students about SNL. Please please please, keep them coming! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can’t wait to actually go to a live taping . SNL will always have content in tbis crazy world lol
LOVE this! Always interesting to learn behind the scenes magic!
SNL would not feel the same without that camera movement! Thank you guys for doing such a great job! 👍🏻
The SNL band and the crane camera. My two favorite things. Remember from 1998 to 2003 you always see the crane camera at the end of the credits.
They don't do an overhead shot of the stage and the band anymore. the band is never seen anymore, sadly.
The 9/11 one got me Ngl
Goosebumps everywhere...
Wow, it's really amazing to look behind the scenes at my favorite TV show! I loved this video. Keep being amazing!!
😋😋😋
3:20 back before Giuliani was a criminal
I remember everyone questioning SNL after 9/11 and everyone was talking about it! I watched it live and remember it like it was last night and they handled it so beautifully and perfect and funny that I think people were starting to catch their breaths a little
Thank you Snl backstage crew. In film school we learn to appreciate the hard work of the unsung heroes of the show. Can't wait to work with the best
You don't realize just how much goes into a live show... Love it.
Love these. Thanks for making them!
This was amazing. Very much appreciated.
I love direction and cameras. How it's shown to us is so important and SNL''s camera work has been fantastic since day 1. Fun, creative, unique --- thanks you guys!
Can SNL please make more videos like this
They have been.
There's a playlist of these there's like 15 in this series.
Wonderful to see the faces of the crew who make the show run smoothly. Fantastically great work! I hope to see more videos featuring those people who work so diligently behind the scenes!
The choreography of crew and equipment - particularly the legendary crane - is a show in itself. Thanks for this.
Thank you great job always look for to watching show every week love behind the scenes create more please!
You guys are awesome. Looking forward to this Saturday night! Happy New year and welcome back!
What a wonderful piece of behind-the-scenes operations! I am truly glad SNL posted this video -- very informative and genuinely interesting. Really gives more insight into how involved a production it is to put on a live, 90 minute show "x" episodes a season.
Thank you SNL camera crew! You’re the MVPs that make the show what it is.
As someone who loves SNL and went to college and studied camera work this is so cool! Y’all need to do more videos like this
Thanks for this video SNL! Really interesting to see the roles of everyone putting the show together.
All for our entertainment. I couldn't possibly know it required that much hard work and dedication. I'm appreciative.
But who filmed this?? 🤔🤔
Keenan probably
This behind-the-scenes footage has been spectacular. They did a fantastic job on this entire series - I don't know if this was a 40th anniversary package or what.
😂🤣😅😭
This was great... Just great to see this. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for educating us about the behind the scenes. I enjoy these videos.
Love behind the scenes videos like this! Please post more of them. :-)
These behind the scene segments are incredible. Much respect to everyone who works in the shadows so we can have snl. Fantastic job!
Ugh I love behind the scenes videos! I hope they make more!!! 😁
I use these videos all the time in the high school broadcast class I teach.
Omg what a fabulous behind the scenes view!!! I’ll never get a real chance to see a live show. But videos like this make that ok with me.
I would love to see more of this kind of content, this was very cool. I love my SNL even if i am on vacation and out of town i make time to look at the show.
SNL in every aspect is truly an effort of heroic proportions.
This was awesome. Hope to see all the behind the scenes stuff. Props, costumes, bathroom attendants.
MORE PLS. This was awesome
Props to the crew!!! They do amazing work
I love these behind the scenes videos!
I did not look for this but now I can't stop watching this series.
I thoroughly enjoy these behind the scenes looks into your process. What you’re creating is awesome and I’d love to be part of it someday.
3:15 Ahhhh, before Rudy completely lost his marbles and exposed himself as the absolute nut job that he truly is... Quaint times. I honestly miss those times, but even more miss the times prior to 9/11. Damn, those were GREAT times to be an American!
MrOuchiez now our country has collective PTSD and people don’t trust each other. So sad.
As an outsider, America is sad to see because of exactly that- I watched in great admiration during the late 80s-90s, a prosperous, friendly, fun, innovative, wonderful country to be a part of. Now it's so tragically, staunchly divided & mistrustful, it's a damn shame. The bastards that were responsible for 9/11 ruined so much for so many all over the world but none more than you poor Americans who had to watch it happen to your own people. I really hope something will pull America back to being a fantastic country you can be justifiably proud of again.
I love these behind the scenes videos.
I love this series!
Can we get more of this behind the scenes stuff? Set creation, costume, makeup, writers room, control room, even audience wrangling.
That was really interesting & well done - respect to Wally &Team!
YYYEEEEEESSSSSS!!!! A new Creating SNL vid!!!!!!!
Bravo!!! You all do an amazing job!
I love this look behind the scenes!
Brilliant!
What a Rush making SNL must be!
Love this stuff
The bomber nose art lettering on the back of the seat is cool.
That crane is so iconic, it looks like it's the original one.
Awesome BTS video! Crane crew is top notch!
Amazing video!!! Do more like this
Very educational, and insightful.
This is so awesome!
I LOVE these videos!
Love this!
very cool and caught a glimpse of all the stage movement... sweet lord there's a lot going on.
I wish I could like this infinite times!
What did they do with the famous ON AIR sign they used from 1995 to 2003 for Seasons 21-28? Also which is better the ON AIR sign or the Grand Central Terminal clock?
The clock. No question about it!
More of these please!
I want to see a live show so badly I could cryyyyyy
That crane is amazing holy cow!
I love snl i wach every saturday!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ooh yes! More Behind the Scenes!
I would be AMAZING at that job! 100% dedicated wow what an amazing job!
this is one of my dream jobs
Sooo cool!
I need a whole documentary about SNL behind the scenes
You should check out the book/audiobook, Live from New York, the complete, uncensored history of.
Man a whole lot goes into each episode
SNL is the best sketch show out there
Hilarious. Great sketch.
RIP Al Camion first on the crane camera
Oh some of you do remember him!
These interest me with a passion
More of this!!
This has to be one of the coolest jobs ever
Awesome great fun 😎👍📼🎥🎱🍿🙂📀🦕☺️🚗⏲📺
Wooooooooo yeah!
This is the type of job I would love to be apart of. Since I was young I always asked about the keyGrip.
I would love to be apart of CREW like this. Always wanted too.
They're not wrong.
I describe SNL as the pinnacle of live TV, and the Chapman crew is a fair piece of why.
No one will believe me but I got to sit behind the camera of the crane as a kid and play with it, zooming in and out and framing different things on the set as the driver moved me around.
Such an awesome group of people at SNL!
That was super cool
I'd love more behind the scenes action!
Can't imagine the logistics the SNL crew has to deal with, you guys kill it
This was so interesting!!
Keep up the good work, guys! : )
Fantastic! I've been watching since the first show.
You have been watching SNL for 42 years? Your channel makes you seem way younger.
I was in college when SNL started. After the first 5 or 6 shows, the sketches and music were THE topics of the conversations at workplaces and schools every Monday morning for a long time. It was so new and different from other television shows then.
These people need to be appraised more I feellike the crew never get the recognition they deserve from the costumers to make and css as camera men ect
Someone said in the comments that "S" in SNL stands for "stressful". After watching these videos - I agree 100%
thats really cool!
