Hey is it okay to talk about the student clubs that I would probably join at the university in a ‘why major’ essay? I think I’m considering the essay as more of a ‘why us’ essay
If the clubs are related to your major, that makes sense. But honestly they want to know more about your passion, a why us essay is a completely different structure from a why this major essay. So I'd say you really need to dig deep and figure out what drew you to that major/what you did regarding that work in high school, etc.
I don't think it'll degrade anything! I'd say about 50% of people apply with a major in mind and end up changing anyways. I think most universities would just expect you to explore your interests and possibilities at college if you don't have a very specific major in mind!
Hi! I love your videos so much and I’ve been watching many of them, they are very helpful. Do you also read essays, and if so, could i possibly send you mine? Thanks so much!
Let me know if there are any other college app videos you want to see, and I hope this helped! :)

What if I don't have any specific major in my mind? And will applying without a fixed major degrade my chance?
Yea it would
