What do you mean by work with the sm7b? As long as your plugging this headphone in it will work with any set up. You just don't want to use it over bluetooth because of the delay while gaming. If your looking for a headphone that's wireless then you'd want the SS Nova 7 but if your trying to use an sm7b I would stick with a wired headphones.

Btw currently sony xm4s are the cheapest and xm5 and sennheiser momentum 4s are on same price after discount durability and comfort is also very important for me and at present xm4 s are cheapest in my country.
I much prefer the momentum over the Sony offering I use to love the Sony's but after long time of using so many different products I just think they aren't the best out there. I would much rather say grab the momentum 4 but if the Sony's can be grabbed for less there still a great pick. However they both have to be used wired on console.

In the middle will slightly add transparency and anc together kinda creating a balance like neither is on however it sucks that it's never just off it's always one or the other but I'm super sensitive to anc and have still not felt pressure and I'm extremely sensitive to anc also like I hated the Sony wh1000 xm4 and made my ears actually hurt

@@IAmVehement thank you so much sorry for the confusion I subscribed and liked and share it to my friends you have helped me along my gaming journey so thank you for your time.
@@IAmVehement Hey sorry I’m messaging you for the 3rd time but I have another question what is the best gaming headphone wireless and that has no microphone I have a budget from £0-£300 so if that comes in handy when thinking.
The best 2 wireless headsets I can recommend are the beyerdynamic mx100-300 any of them are great. If you want lots of features then I can recommend the steel series arctis nova 7 enough. I can't however recommend the nova pro wireless I owned them and I think they are over hyped and really don't sound that great for the price. One last recommendation is the g pro x wireless 2 they are really damn good.
@@IAmVehement I already have that but thank you
How do you talk to people if there is no mic? Just got a gaming pic and I had these headphones for music but want to use for gaming.
Sadly you need a separate mic for these to talk to people. It works great for gaming but not so great with friends.
Hey Man, you mentioned that this should not be used for gaming in Bluetooth mode, did you then test this out whilst playing with wire? ie. the Headphones is not good for gaming in wireless mode?
The reason I don't recommend gaming in bluetooth mode is do to pretty big latency (lag) while gaming but gaming on a wire is great
I have absolutely 0 latency with the Sennheiser's BTD 600 dongle, including in a competitive FPS game. I also checked a few videos on UA-cam that test the audio / video latency, it's perfectly in sync.
So I don't know why you have latency. Are you using a modern dongle with aptx adaptive?
I'm using just Bluetooth no dongle there will be latency when gaming over Bluetooth aptx helps but doesn't solve it
@@exact7hi! i'm thinking about getting these for multimedia use but also gaming. are you still happy with them? or do you think i should look for something else? i would probably get the bluetooth dongle as well if you say it helps.
@@Mustis91 Hey, yes definitely! I use them for everything too, best headphones ever! There is NO latency (perceivable) with the BTD 600 dongle, trust me I play Quake and CSGO in them. And on UA-cam there are videos "audio video sync test", it's perfectly in sync

So I don't know why you have latency. Are you using a modern dongle with aptx adaptive?
No dongle at all just normal Bluetooth and watching vids the latency is near non existence but regular bluetooth on games like apex mobile or cod mobile it's just to visible your using an accessory to improve the latency I'm reporting my findings from most people's use case
@@IAmVehement A tip: To improve latency, you can use a dongle connected to an audio interface, or something like that, that supports aptX like Momentum does. Latency decreases a lot.
@@pedroh29 out of curiosity what kind or brand of dongle would it be?
@@IAmVehement currently, I'm using ugreen Rx/TX adapter, compatible with aptx. Baseus and Vention are simular brands.
@@pedroh29 I might give them a try sounds really interesting and worth looking into maybe even video worthy
So to clarify. I can’t use the microphone to communicate over discord while also gaming?
You might be able to voice chat over discord through a Bluetooth connection but you can't use them in game or over wired.
@@IAmVehementcaaaan you test with discord while gaming to see if it works 🫣
I know I'm super late to this and you've moves on from tech reviews, but do you know if the Momentum 4s can connect to the Dualsense via the aux jack? I've tried it and can't get it to work.
I do it all the time. It sounds best if the headphones are turned on but yes it should work.
Oh, really?? What kind of cable(s) do you use? I got a single USB-C to aux cable, and that's just not seeming to work.
@xleaselife yea you can't use the USB c to aux on controller it has to be a 2.5mm to 3.5mm wire which I had to buy on Amazon
Wow, I'm incredibly stupid. The Momentum 4 COMES with a 2.5 mm to 3.5mm cable! Thank you, man. I don't know why that never occurred to me.
I appreciate you!
Yup I only bought my own cause I lost mine. But no problem glad I could help!
can you use ANC while wired?
As long as the headphones are on.
Sweet vid dude, cheers!
Thanks!
hello i just got the headphones and while playing fortnite i noticed something that when i look at things they are much louder for example i built stairs in game and when i moved the mouse to anywhere else the sound was still clear but really low
got any idea what i can do about it?
It's directional audio and distance imaging if you look at something it's coming from both sides of your headphones and louder whilst if you look away it will be lower and in a different direction. The farther you go away from something the quieter it will get.
hi! so i want to use this headset for gaming. but when i enable the mic, sound quality becomes really bad. i guess it's something with hands free mode or whatever?
any way to get around this so i can use the mic for gaming as well?
i got the btd600 adapter if this helps in any way..otherwise i'd have to get a separate headset which would be kind of dumb
I personally was unable to get the mics working for gaming. Even over Bluetooth and I tried a wired connection while powered on but it just doesn't work correctly.
Get a modmic works a charm, couple hundred $ but cheaper than a whole headset of same quality
could i use this on ps5? (wireless) and do they sound good for games like warzone?
Sadly PS5 can't use Bluetooth wirelessly on these or really any headphones unless you use a dongle or connect to the TV/soundbar or other bt device.
Will mic work while playing multiplayer game?
Sadly it will not
Does you headphones sound like cheap when you wired them?
If there off it's not the best but if you power them on while wired they sound incredible
Hii iam currently very confused between sony xm4, xm5 and sennheiser momentum 4 i want to buy an all rounder headphones one which i can use on my ps5, ioad pro and phone. I mostly play games like rdr 2 so their is no issue of playing with mic and i heard sound is better on momentums but iam really very confused because i want to buy headphones for a long run so any suggestions pls? Btw currently sony xm4s are the cheapest and xm5 and sennheiser momentum 4s are on same price after discount durability and comfort is also very important for me and at present xm4 s are cheapest in my country.
I much prefer the momentum over the Sony offering I use to love the Sony's but after long time of using so many different products I just think they aren't the best out there. I would much rather say grab the momentum 4 but if the Sony's can be grabbed for less there still a great pick. However they both have to be used wired on console.
@@IAmVehement hii first of all thanks for replying your videos are so good even i consider sony xm4 s by watching your videos but when i see your video on momentums are got really confused so sony xm 4 s are 18990 rupees here in india and sony momentums are 24990 so according to what's will be the best and did you face any quality or software issues with Sennheiser momentum 4 s software etc . And how's comfortable level incompare with xm4 . Literally iam really confuse between these 2 s .
The momentum 4 software is really easy to use I had some trouble when I first got my pair with it saying they weren't connected but it started to work and got an update and the headphones got a firmware update and never had a problem since. The momentum are still my daily drivers I really do like them better then the xm4 I think the noise cancelling is a bit more tolerable no pressure when using it. The xm4 had a really bad pressure so I couldn't use the noise cancelling. Sound wise the momentum 4 just sound much better but If you can snatch the xm4 cheaper it's a really good headphone with great software and great noise cancelling even tho I couldn't use it.
@@IAmVehement hii well i decided to go with momentum 4 s and they are gonna come in 1 or 2 days and thank you very much for your opinion because of that i make the decision to get momentum 4s gonna update you ⚡✌🏻 how was my experience with momentum 4 s i hope they are comfortable . And thanks again ⚡ . Yeah xm4 s anc is really strong i heard so i also cannot tolerate that much anc for long hours and its my first ever anc headphone purchase .
Bro are u happy with your m4 cause im also really very confused between xm5 and m4?
i wanna buy this but i have a concern. you said we cant just turn off the anc and i think i am sensitive to anc pressure either. lets say i am sitting in the house and in a silent environment. will i feel the pressure when the anc-transparent slider is in the middle in the app. thats the only concern i have.
@@IAmVehement i think new version of sennheiser mobile app got a turn off switch for anc, i saw it in ios apps on several youtube videos. Do you have that option in the settings tab. Did you try it?
@@IAmVehement or, does adjusting the slider to slightly transparent side removes the cabin pressure fatigue? Also how can we adjust these settings on mac and windows? Those platforms dont have sennheiser app. Can we adjust anc there?
I just checked and it seems that you can turn of wind reduction but I still don't have a option on Android to turn off ANC but like I said as someone who's extremely sensitive to pressure from anc I don't have any problems with momentum 4 also on PC and Mac you can pinch and slide with 2 fingers to adjust the anc
@@IAmVehement thanks for your comments and objective review!
Hello can someone tell me if I'm using my Xbox controller and I use these headphones plugged in to the controller, does it use its own power or will it still drain power from the controller ?
The headset uses it's own power. You can use them while off but they sound MILES better when they are turned on.
Ele funciona com cabo p2 no celular?
Which is better this or arctis nova pro
nova pro even tho ive not tried it. the nova pro can be used wireless over 2.4ghz along with having noise cancellation like the momentum and can be used over bluetooth if you need it too. also the nova pro have software on pc. the momentum have an app where you can save settings. I wish i knew how they sounded so i could give a better opinion but the nova pro is where i would go if i was looking for something specifically for gaming.
What about Arctis nova 7 Wireless Should i give it back and buy Sennheiser Momentum 4?@@IAmVehement
Is there any problem with connecting them to ps5? (via wire)
Nope not at all did most my testing on PS5 but they sound best if you turn them on while wired
I use them with my ps5 and have them on with the wire to use the ANC so I don’t hear my loud AC lol they’re amazing for games
What about the loudness sir
I never needed to turn these all the way up they are very loud plenty of headroom always had about 2 notches more of volume leftover
What is your comparison of the ANC between the SteelSeries Arctic Nova Pro and Sennheiser Momentum 4? I'm looking for wireless low latency audio with ANC for flights and walking around my house while recording music (the need for low latency, which I get from Arctic 7s).
I've sadly not used the nova pros so idk how the anc is but I've heard from people that have that the anc is great but I wouldn't be able to say how it compares
@@IAmVehement thanksn
nova pro wireless anc is absolute shit if u tried airpods or bose... absolute shit
Is it possible to connect these to PS5 using usb c?
I don't think so not something I tried
@@IAmVehement how did you connect yours wired then? doesn't the momentum 4 output to USB?

They do on mobile however idk if discord will work on PC I've not tried it but I do know the mics will not work in game.
They dont work on Samsung dont forget that, only simple aptx works with samsung
I'm on Samsung and I get apt x
@@IAmVehement yes, only aptx that's the problem.aptxHD is the higher codec that the m4 have but Samsung don't support it cause they you to buy their Samsung earphones.look into it this is a huge break dealer from samsung
Will these work on discord?
Should I didn't test it but I was able to use them in zoom but the mics just don't work in games.
thanks bro
At no problem!
airpod max look nothing like those
They have the same thin headband big earcups non collapsible design language. I'm not saying they look the same but they have the same language
lets go
No mic means it is garbage for gaming lol
Only if your looking for a gaming headset. I'm not saying competitive gaming that you will be talking to people I'm saying non mic necessary gaming. Like I've NEVER used a mic but I play games with headphones and these were great for my type of gaming. I also play competitive games and don't use a mic.
I couldn’t wear this for more than an hour. Ears literally on fire on a cold winter day 😂
Mine were pretty tight at first but after a few sessions I found them to be pretty comfortable but I can honestly understand your perspective
1 year too late lol but this company called Wicked Cushions does make ear pads with cooling gel that you can replace the default ones with.
They sell wicked cushions for the m4?
why do you let me look at a half mustache?? what is the goal behind that?
Forgot to shave 🪒 🤣 thought maybe everyone would love the mouse whisker look.

i also have the blackshark v2 and the cloud 2 btw.
i remember my cloud 2 where tight in the beginning....
If I'm understanding your question can you use the mics to chat on discord. If so then yea it's a no go sadly the mics are completely useless unless your using a phone or Bluetooth over a video call maybe if you Bluetooth the headset to your PC and connect it to discord as a bt device that might be a work around you could do
