It's my personal feeling that the exact BPMs are 140,140,175,190. I included a range because of different people's sense of time and because I created this video very quickly and late at night.
Had it just been a much better and more balanced version of 012 (essentially) The competitive elements would've still remained and I am sure it would've been massively successful.
Yeah I'm a Big FF fan so yeah it's addictive..... but doesn't stand near the OG psp games or even FfDOM. ...Its A dull game ..the extreme hard yet Good combat mechanics are the only thing that keeps this game going 4 me. and that's terrible I only like it because of the overly challenging Combat. other than that it is Shallow!
This is what fighting games are all about. The challenging gameplay. It's always been that way. Because big sales numbers are so important, companies jump through hoops to add extra content for more casual players, This game just had a different target audience than the old ones.
Not bad, Leif! Similar to how I learned it, except without the metronome! Though from my memory, Solid Barrel and Beat Fang have the exact same rhythm. What I did was I learned the sound pattern from the Japanese Trigger video and when I use Squall -- when using the attack button -- instead of just pressing it down, I press it down while sliding my finger OFF the button, making a "click" sound to help with my timing. That way I can use that sound from the button popping up as a guide. once I learned that I nearly 100% hit Squall's trigger!
+Nickleos that's awesome. What I do is hold the button down for half of the beat duration and release it so I hear a click on every beat and half way through every beat. Within an hour I could do them comfortably.
Thanks for the tip, really helpful. I combined with your technique and Leif's, my trigger is getting better. It helps when you can hear and pinpoint the button sound. Also, I noticed that you can press the trigger button as soon as Squall's gunblade is landing on his enemy, just like FFVIII
Dam I haven't use a metronome since high school in orchestra. This will be very helpful. Thank you for the video. Even if I don't get all the hits, finding a better way to get some of the hits def helps.
Hey Leif! I know your dissidia vids are a bit older but I just got into the game this year (back in March) and I LOVE it. Thanks for this video - you've made being a Squall main a little less annoying :P I learned your metronome method first and I practiced with it enough to where I was able to figure out the actual timing for the neutral attacks where it's staggered. I can almost always land every trigger but I'm still working on the timing for both forward attacks. But yeah anyway, thanks again :D
@@vinter9597 there are some people who still play. I'm find them for you. With the community so small now, scheduling is a huge issue, so I don't really have the chance to play
+David Iacob thru patched the beta so that we can't keep it once it ends so I don't know. I don't really want to give up the entire play time tomorrow to figure out his dash cancel.
+Cory Beach that's awesome man! Yea, silver there's no clear tutorial on the timing I had to completely guess. That's why I decided to do it this way. I don't even have to worry about the screen or input lag or anything like that. It's a nice starting point at least!
So wait, the way it was explained to me was that i have to press the attack button AGAIN between the presses for the combo itself to trigger. That's wrong isn't it
+Joshua Hardin yes that's wrong. When you hit the trigger that will also cause him to do the next slash. That's why you can't trigger on the first slash.
+Madara Uchihaa I have a metronome app on my phone. That's what I used. Also if you google metronome you can find a website that has them. Once the metronome allows you where the timing is, you can figure out the proper rhythm.
KING OF BABYLON if you do the timing of Squall’s hits in beat with the combo, it will cause him to trigger an explosion with the gun blade in between hits, making each hit around 50% stronger. Learning the timing can MASSIVELY change your damage output as Squall, and if you master it he has probably the best raw Bravery damage in the game.
Can your remap buttons? My game is Japenese and i watch English youtube videos. O is X Δ is ☐ Actually knowing this remapping the controls would probably just make it worse
You can change the controls to match the English controls. I have the Japanese version as well and okay with the Japanese controls. That's why I usually avoid saying buttons and prefer to say the action itself
Leif 3GHP thanks now I can actually have someone to play with in the game when out warning only played this one like two times but I will watch your videos to get better
But how do you do a beat Fang itself? I’ve been trying to pull that one off for a while, I have all the triggers down, except for that move in which I seem to be doing Accidentally and I can’t remember how I did it.
Leif 3GHP Ahhh haha i’m an idiot, I didn’t know it was that easy but I’m playing right now and after that, the triggers come natural for me it seems, my screen name is Kenjioda10223, We should play sometime
Its a shame this wont really be that viable when playing on the PS4 NA servers since there is lag nearly every single match. 60MBPS internet speed equates to around 200 ping in game
I'm pretty good to trigger. But seriously, in online with many lags, I CANT And even again "com" in free battle, sometime many lag ( during sommuns for exemple ).
God, as a musician Im having lots of trouble with this mechanic... its so fucking clunky. We could have his passive just like DFFOO: If his brv is low -> Pull Trigger, if his brv is high -> Dont Pull. Simple as that :(

Leif 3GHP thanks man squall is my favorite, this helps a lot.
Despite of how bad the review about this game, dissidia NT surprisingly a very addictive game. I have no regret buying this
+Henokh Satrio is very fun. I wish I could go back in time and warn Square about the small missteps that kept it from being successful

Video on Sephiroth dash cancel?
+David Iacob thru patched the beta so that we can't keep it once it ends so I don't know. I don't really want to give up the entire play time tomorrow to figure out his dash cancel.
Understandable
David Iacob Press and hold dash at the same time as your last hit happens

Leif the Legend i was just in discord interested in squall
This helped alot. Thank you.
Where to find metronome in full game?
+Madara Uchihaa I have a metronome app on my phone. That's what I used. Also if you google metronome you can find a website that has them. Once the metronome allows you where the timing is, you can figure out the proper rhythm.
Ty man gonne try the app
Btw what app dit you use there so many
+Madara Uchihaa haha actually, I have physical metronomes because I need them for music practice. Lol. Sorry about that. Any one will do though.
I don't get wats happening in this vid sum 1 explain 2 me plz

But how do you do a beat Fang itself? I’ve been trying to pull that one off for a while, I have all the triggers down, except for that move in which I seem to be doing Accidentally and I can’t remember how I did it.
+KenjiX438 to do beat dang, be in the air and press the brave attack button while not pressing any directions.

Upper blues and savage claw are in the 170-175 bpm range i havnt figured out the other timings yet

Just a quick question, what button do I input to do a Dodge Cancel for Firion?
+Kaizer Hakim L1 plus a direction to move in
Leif 3GHP basically just like a regular side step?
+Kaizer Hakim yea i don't believe it's anything special.

How are you playing this? I wanna play so bad!
