Not gonna lie, but hearing these special quotes now being voiced made me so, so much happy. In particular for Emperor and his final boss quote: Corey made It go from "great" to "absolute perfection" for me
For the Warrior of Light, how about the one canonical bit of dialogue the party in FF1 ever had? "OOHH!! It stinks! Throw it over.. No! Don't do that!!"
They are confirmed to return as DLC. They shifted their priorities around to include some newer characters (Noctis, Y'shtola, Ace, Ramza) and didn't get to the veterans. Yuna or Prishe will be released in the season pass this year, the others will have to wait until 2019 or later.
My guess is that they weren't cut solely to be used as DLC. Here's how they probably came up with the roster. 1. Take the characters that were in the original Dissidia that weren't hidden and give them top billing (so all the Cosmos and Chaos reps that were in 1-10) 2. Add in protagonists for 11-14. Shantotto, Vaan, and Lightning were all the first protagonists from those games, so that's easy, and they always seem to have Y'shtola represent 14 as a protagonist like they did wit Theatrhythm Curtain Call. 3. Add in Kain. Why Kain? Because Dissidia's developers really like Kain. 4. Add in Ramza because people were constantly asking for characters not from numbered Final Fantasy games and everyone seems to be constantly telling them to make more Tactics games. 5. Add Ace because Square really seems to like Type-0, so why not. There's your roster because 27's a pretty good number. 6. Oh crap, 15 came out while we were developing this game! We need to add in Noctis now because then people are going to ask why didn't we or accuse us of not adding him in so that he could be sold as DLC (because people probably would do that). There, 28. Oh crap, we need to add in all these other characters, but the game needs to come out soon. Fine, we'll add them as DLC even though we want to add more.

Glad they got rid of other repetitive gags like Ultimecia's time puns and Sephiroth's "fallen hero" references, they were really getting old.

The reason why Onion Knight's voice sounds like as he is is because his voice range is between Sora's Kingdom Hearts 1 and Kingdom Hearts 2 voice. I've seen both Japanese and English voices to tell you this fact.

I mostly know the ones from IV, VI, VII, IX, and X but the ones referencing past Dissidia games confuse me. I'd like to mostly know Onion Knight's lines, I guess.
Is it me or has George Newbern lost his touch voicing Sephiroth? He sounds less intimidating than when I was a teenager. Steve Burton sounds like it too, but he sounds better at least. He’s still doing well for Cloud.
I miss some quotes like "void" references from Exdeath, Tidus' laugh, Lightning's "We live to make the impossible possible! That's our Focus!", or Bartz's "And if we can't go by sea... we must go by...". And now, I also would like Y'shtola's "I am... not interested, little sun. Try again when you've become a man". Also, I don't like the spanish version has ruined Noctis' "Off my chair, jester. The king sits there" for "Trust in me. King's word"... xp
I really hope for more different costumes, though it's most likely never gonna happen. Then again, you only have 3 customized slots at the same time and with 6 different outfits AND 3 different weapons it's already hard to choose... I guess I just hope that we can pick more than three (But if not we can always change them back and forth of course) I just really want more costumes
I'm 100% sure there will be more costumes. It's pretty easy to collect all of the items right now, and costumes are an easy way to get people hyped. A few characters already have a third costume confirmed (WoL, Noctis, and I believe Lightning) so I would imagine everyone else will be getting a third as well.
Oh and I'm really hoping for more weapons as well, I mean Cloud has insanely many different swords in the original game, there should definitely be more than 3 ( 4 if you pre-ordered and got the Nail Bat). The only ones I don't care for are those who's weapons are not even visible Of course it's a lot of work and considering other games and everything they have to do, it might be too much to ask for 10 weapons for the characters, but at least give them their Ultimate weapons from their original game.
