  • In this video you'll get your answers about cover stitching using binders 😁
The rules are the same for domestic and industrial coverstitch, in this video I'm using my industrial Juki coverstitch (because I have more detailed videos for domestic Juki and Babylock already)
I had a lot of questions about FOE in binders: I would encourage you to try it as it really is very easy - even with a bigger size binder.
The second most common question is about the binding 'not stretching' enough - so I'm showing you how I do it and what factors are important for perfect results (and which ones are not)

Thank you for all you videos. Im about to receive a Jack K5UT i make underwear working with Lycra and jersey. I use a lot of foldover elastic and i noticed that when you removed your finished work the elastic was nicely and evenly stretched causing the fabric to “bunch up’ perfectly. Was this achieved automatically by the binder attachment or by differential feed or by pulling the foldover elastic? Currently I’ve been using a twin needle and stretching the elastic evenly form start to finish. Im hoping that when i get the new machine i wont have to do this and the machine and attachment will give me the perfect tension in the leg opening. Is this the case. Many thanks again for your really helpful and informative videos. Xxx

Where did you get the binder attachment, if you don't mind? Trying to find where to get a reputable one for my 7923. Thx!

Do you have any tips on using elastic thread in the lower looper of an industrial coverstich machine when doing a chain stitch on binding? I have many items with this sort of detail but when I try it scrunches the binding up. Or maybe a certain type of elastic thread or brand?
