Rewatching this after you play Ever Crisis really wants you to see Sephiroth meets his real mother
I like to think that they both liked each other before Vincent's father died and had been together *thus sephiroth being theirs*. But after his Dad died Lucrecia felt really guilty for not saving Grimore and felt Vincent secretly hated her since he became distant afterwards *bro was in mourning* so she ran to Hojo and got with him *which is why he thinks Sephiroth is his son*. Unfortunatly, they didnt meet until after Vincents father died, so the only possible explaination for Vincent being Sephiroths father would be a drunk Lucrecia at that picnic.
Hope to the gawd they bring this into the third.
That's why Dr.Hojo are most hated antagonist in Final Fantasy 7. Why? He's inhumane, insane & creep for using human as Experiments (like using Jenova Cell to Lucrecia, make Vincent as monster.etc). That's why he's not allowed to Lifestream as mentioned in Novella "Hoshi o Meguru no Otome" (because Hojo feel "No Regret" & rather chose with Jenova)
I still refuse to believe Sephiroth is Hojo's kid
Their fate might change since ff7 remake and rebirth clearly is about defying fate. If aerith lives again in the 3rd installation then it will be a huge change. Then the fate of vincent and lucrecia might shift to a new direction. Aerith might freed lucrecia from her jenova cell curse and crystal prison, she might finally be moving on in afterlife. Then vincent might no longer be immortal and he might find a new worthy partner in life. Not a lucrecia version but someone bit better. Vincent solo remake and rebirth might follow the OG story line but it might shift to new direction

It is canon though. Ugly parents can have pretty kids. People seem to forget this even happens.
Besides, Sephiroth and Vincent look alike because originally they were literally the same character. The villain had white hair and a bandana. If you look at their code in OG, it is almost a copy-paste. For example, Vincent is the only one who can wield the Masamune if you hack the system. Aerith and Sephiroth look alike because they were originally going to be siblings. So they just honored the original designs is all. It has nothing to do with biological connections.
@@Phantomyre it's not because hojo is ugly. His actions and inhumune towards the innocent reflects who he is as a character. If he is on the side of the angels then the opinions on him will be different. Their are guys who is not so good looking but they have best character on them. Their actions what counts.
Even Sephiroth himself refuses to believe it lol. That's why he's gone mad and created his own idea that he is special and a son of a god (Jenova).

I do secretly hope they change sephiroth's birth origin for vincent to be the father instead of hojo (yes yes, i know its not canon, i just prefer that theory because who the fuck would want to sleep with hojo 🙄)
But i also would be interested in getting some story on grimoire, since not only did he work with lucrecia, but he also created nero the sable.
That would alter Vincent's story/character development drastically though. Imagine you realize you have a child and said child is a treat to humanity and the planet itself. Lucrecia turning Vicent down is part of Vincent's tragic background. However I do hope they expand on their story on the next release of the remake.
They shouldn't. It would vindicate Hojo and make Vincent the bastard. Besides, the reason why they look alike is because Vincent and Sephiroth were literally the same person during the early development stages. The villain had white hair and wore a bandana. My friends in Japan are frankly disgusted Western folks even think this way as it makes no sense to them.
God I feel bad for Lucrecia.
We cannot deny though her choices did contribute a lot to what happened. She just learned too late to prevent what will happen.
@@orrthehunterExactly. She made terrible mistakes that ruined the lives of everyone around her. However, she makes it very clear she is remorseful for her reactions and tries to kill herself to atone for her sins.
If anyone is the true villain, it's Hojo. He deliberately hurt everyone around him without considering the consequences. He makes it very clear he enjoys hurting people whenever he can.
@@EvelynL.1112agree. But the only reason she agree to sephiroth experiment because the baby belongs to hojo and she might not care at that time whatever happens. If the child was vincent and her's, she might ended up killing herself and baby instead because there's no way she would allow any horrible experiment that would twist the baby.
