- My friend Oscar and I are flying our Freewing F-22 Raptors practicing some formation flights. My F22 was upgraded with the new Freewing 12 blades, the entire power plant, and a Freewing 120A ESC with reverse thrust capabilities.

We still need to practice a lot. We want to create a formation routine with all our similar aircraft together😁... hello. could you instruct me on how to set up for reverse on my Spektrum transmitter?
Good morning, and thank you very much for visiting my channel and leaving your question. For starters, the easiest way to achieve this goal is to switch your plane's ESC for one with reverse thrust capabilities. Make sure that the new ESC matches the AMPs of the original one. Both the Avians and the newest Freewing ones are the only ones good for this set-up, but the easiest ones to set up are the Freewing ones because there's no ESC programming involved. I highly recommend you get the Freewing ESC with reverse thrust capabilities for your aircraft. The Freewing ESC has an extra servo lead for reversing that goes plugged into any available channel in your receiver. I recommend you to use an 8 channel receiver as well for this application so you don't miss any other feature your plane might already have. Once you plug that extra servo lead(the reversing one) into that extra Chanel in your receiver, go to channel assign in your radio and enable that channel on a 3 position switch. After that, reverse thrust should be enabled. Once you test that your motor is reversing, follow the steps on this video to finish your setup in a much better and safer way to avoid mishaps while attempting to use reverse thrust at the field.
