Chloe was more of a hero than Gabriel ever was, her redemption arc got screwed over by the show's creator because apparently he didn't like season 2. It also explains why Marinette was a horny creep in season 3 (If you don't know, all I'm saying is she gets physical with a "statue" of Adrien, is a stalker, and will regularly hijack his house.) and then a total bitch in season four being a horrible friend to Adrien while he's Cat Noir. Oh and fun fact, Marinette's parents? Her dad is supposed to be the show's creator, and the mom is HIS EX. HE MADE A FICTIONAL DAUGHTER, FOR HIMSELF AND HIS EX.
Blame it on the writers. Gabriel was a "decent" sympathetic villain at the first two seasons, but then the writers decides to make him a complete asshole the next seasons 🐯

At this point I don't even blame the characters, I just blame the writers for all of this. But not telling him, who he was fighting with this hole time!!! I know the season 6 still hasn't been released, but since they don't show any conflict betwen Mary sue and Chat in the leaked trailer, and taking the righting skills of the righters of MLB into consideration. Ladybug is problably not going to tell him, and he is not even going to ask. 😒

I don't know. I was watching this movie and Gabriel was actually ready to destroy Paris but then he sees Cat Noir as his son. Talks with him. They hug and it's over. Well it's definitely better than what they did in this garbage finale but still did Gabriel even faced punishment for what he did? Well at least Adrien knows the truth.

It just makes me laugh at this point how hard the show flopped. As it progressed, Marinette was becoming more and more favored by the writers while Adrien was becoming shallow and unimportant. Which is so ironic considering that the whole conflict revolves around his family. I refuse to believe that this is how they had planned to end this arc from the start. How could they think people would like this?

You know what would have helped me look at him in a different light? If only Emilie Agreste had flashback scenes where we see her relationship with Mr. Agreste (not calling him that cause You know, THAT'S MY NAME ) it wouldn't have excused his actions yet it would help us understand his perspective. I cannot with y'all, did man just say "All the times I tried to be a good father" I remember an episode where he took a drawing I'm assuming Adrien made when he was 5 and shattered it. Yeah, that's my freshest memory of him. This story could have easily been like Encanto. Alma loses her husband and because of that trauma, she unintentionally endangers her family and people but when we hear her backstory with Pedro, we understand why she was like this. I'm supposed to take this abusive narcissistic loser who can't move on from his loss and goes from abusing his own blood, his offspring to terrozing an entire city as a hero? Imagine living there, knowing damn well, that no matter your age you can still become a crazy villain. And we find a teenager with neglectful parents as unforgivable? This show had every chance but no, Astruc wanted to end it by pulling a middle finger and shoving it into our faces. What a disappointment especially for me, who grew up with this show.
I dropped it halfway through season 4 or the end but I dropped it around that season and never looked back, glad I assumed right when I said this show was going to redeem Gabriel and the show was just going to get worse

Chloe: a teenager who suffer of mother complex, because said mother for not taking care of her, literally flee to another state, had an affair with another man, had another daughter, but with the another daughter she pass time With because of the other daughter she remember the name. The father doesn’t know how to take care of her and for keep her close to him, he spoiled her. Someone who was working to get a redemption and said redemption was cut off, because the creator couldn’t accept the character considered as the mean girl of the school, like Regina George or Sharpay Evans could be seen in a good light. At the end she is considered a irredeemable monster “A TEENAGER”

I liked season five up until the finale. It felt messy at times but I still enjoyed it. But THIS? this was some of the worst writing in the show. it absolutely takes the cake. first, we’re just going to give felix no redemption arc whatsoever but just randomly paint him to be this good guy when he is the reason monarch exists. (i still hate felix btw) and then?? we’re just going to make gabriel seem like a hero? when he traumatized a whole city and tortured people for months just bc he wanted his dead wife back? not to mention the endless neglect, abuse, and manipulation he put adrien through. don’t even get me started on that. so i’m just supposed to believe he’s a good guy bc he sacrificed himself at the end of the show? absolutely not. he’s a garbage character and a few minutes certainly does NOT constitute him as being a hero. also…. the fact that they led up to this “wish” for years to lead us to believe the world would end, and it didn’t. gabriel made a wish and the miraculous world just looked like a utopia after that. none of the finale makes any sense at all, and i was really pissed when i watched it.
I actually liked the season's finale and HEAR ME OUTT GUYSS!! What you said in the video about Gabriel is 100% true; he was a terrible father and person and put everyone, litteraly everyone in danger for the sake of his wife who told him to not try and revive her. However the choice of the writers of miraculous to make it seem that Gabriel is a good guy for everyone WILL have a HUGE impact in season 6. All the people who know about Gabriel are Natalie, Kagami's mother, Felix, Marinette, all the kwamis, possibly Kagami and Amelie, and most importantly, Lila. Even though she isn't confirmed to be season 6's villain, she will be necessary in season 6 in general since her presence is full of mysteries and lies. Lila is capable of using the information she has in the best/worst way, to make Adrien's and Marinette's life a living hell and getting what she wants (let's not forget she has actual proof of Gabriel when she got akumatized in season 5). Also, Chat Noir was missing in the final battle against Monarch but this was not due to lazy writing or the authors forgetting about Chat Noir, it actually is because Adrien knowing his father's true identity and motives is going to be a pretty big deal, something that you could not squeeze in this finale, it would have felt like a rush. My point is that yes, season 5's finale is absolute garbage BUT ONLY if this was the series finale, wich it isn't. Even though the finale is objectively bad, the story could continue in a way that would make this season's finale make sense and more satisfying. Adrien knowing his father's true identity is obviously important and something that did not fit in this finale, that is why this specific storyline is something that has to come up in the next season and also why Chat Noir was not present in the finale and why Ladybug did not tell Adrien about his dad.
Well, you brought up the point that Gabriel akumatized a freaking baby, so yeah, he had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. As for what happened at the end of Season 5, I do not think that it's the end of Gabriel Argrest. He does need to be remembered for his crimes as Hawkmoth/Monarch, not as a Hero who has a statue erected in his honor. It's for this reason alone that I do not think that Hawkmoth is dead. I also firmly believe that the truthbomb that Marinette hides from Cat Noir will eventually lead to mistrust and untimately outright cause our Cat to wander over to the villain side. You see the world we are in at this moment is roses and rainbows - at least with what is shown. But come Season 6, I'm sure we will find out that it's a very dark place. And so, how do we fix this? How do we go back?How do we erase Gabriel's wish? Well - it's pretty simple. As stated from earlier, Ladybug is only limited by how much she allows herself be. This was a focal point when she first started making her talismans that would protect people from akumatization. She has her Lucky Charm. I'm willing to bet you if anything that the story will allow her to go back and erase the wish made by Gabriel Argrest. But thereby rendering the whole relationship void. And then we will get the real finale, with Cat Noir/Ladybug fighting Monarch.
Well on the one hand I would like to see the better version of this finale in actually show. Not movie but on the other hand I hate characters espaping from consequences. Marinette did a bad thing so she should face a consequences and not rewind time so she could avoid consequences of her action. It's a hard choice.n
OK, let me stop you right there. No. Gabriel was not redeemed. He basically pulled a shadow Weaver where he basically just chose to end his life to evade the consequences. The reason I say he was not redeemed is because of one single solitary thing that you’re overlooking my good person. He never thought that he was wrong. He was convinced he was right the entire time. He had been redeemed, he would have acknowledged that what he was doing was wrong, no point did he do this. Marinette was basically emotionally blackmailed by him.
What actually happened was Marinette gave him one single final chance to turn around and stop, and what he didn’t response was he attacked her? He took the earrings in the ring, made his wish and was completely convinced that he was right the whole time. And I feel like people complaining about this haven’t been paying attention to the series at all. Adrien couldn’t have been involved with this AT ALL. Every time previously were Gabriel or Adrien learned about the truth of the others identity. It was immediately taken advantage of by Gabriel. He could not be part of the equation. And there’s a number of other reasons why it’s probably in the best interest for Paris that people don’t know the truth about Gabriel. 1. The precarious situation of the butterfly miraculous. 2. Preventing Adrien from being akumatized (keep in mind, Marinette now knows that Adrian is a senti and him being akumatized is incredibly dangerous even without cat noir being in the equation. Were depending on what item gets a infected it could very well result in him dying.) 3. How about the fact that Adrien is the SOLE LIVING RELATIVE TO GABRIEL. A fact that if it was publicly known that if his dad was the magical terrorist that had been terrorizing the world for God knows how long: best case scenario would be a social pariah, and worst case scenario he would actually be in danger! Holy fuck, why aren’t people thinking about this more?!

Chloe was more of a hero than Gabriel ever was, her redemption arc got screwed over by the show's creator because apparently he didn't like season 2. It also explains why Marinette was a horny creep in season 3 (If you don't know, all I'm saying is she gets physical with a "statue" of Adrien, is a stalker, and will regularly hijack his house.) and then a total bitch in season four being a horrible friend to Adrien while he's Cat Noir. Oh and fun fact, Marinette's parents? Her dad is supposed to be the show's creator, and the mom is HIS EX. HE MADE A FICTIONAL DAUGHTER, FOR HIMSELF AND HIS EX.

Gabriel was a "decent" sympathetic villain at the first two seasons, but then the writers decides to make him a complete asshole the next seasons 🐯
I just hope that in season 6, Marinette feels the guilt of lying to the WHOLE WORLD, but exclusively of lying to Adrien, because it is SO UNFAIR that Gabriel was a HORRIBLE PERSON and no one will know about it because of marinette, like, literally, he almost killed millions of people(without hesitation), he was a TERIBLE father(if he ever really tried to be one) to your boyfriend, he also gave you trauma, anxiety, stress(lots of other things too)... and you FORGIVE HIM AND LIVE LIKE NOTHING F###### HAPPENED!?

If only Emilie Agreste had flashback scenes where we see her relationship with Mr. Agreste (not calling him that cause You know, THAT'S MY NAME ) it wouldn't have excused his actions yet it would help us understand his perspective. I cannot with y'all, did man just say "All the times I tried to be a good father" I remember an episode where he took a drawing I'm assuming Adrien made when he was 5 and shattered it. Yeah, that's my freshest memory of him. This story could have easily been like Encanto. Alma loses her husband and because of that trauma, she unintentionally endangers her family and people but when we hear her backstory with Pedro, we understand why she was like this. I'm supposed to take this abusive narcissistic loser who can't move on from his loss and goes from abusing his own blood, his offspring to terrozing an entire city as a hero? Imagine living there, knowing damn well, that no matter your age you can still become a crazy villain. And we find a teenager with neglectful parents as unforgivable? This show had every chance but no, Astruc wanted to end it by pulling a middle finger and shoving it into our faces. What a disappointment especially for me, who grew up with this show.

I actually liked the season's finale and HEAR ME OUTT GUYSS!! What you said in the video about Gabriel is 100% true; he was a terrible father and person and put everyone, litteraly everyone in danger for the sake of his wife who told him to not try and revive her. However the choice of the writers of miraculous to make it seem that Gabriel is a good guy for everyone WILL have a HUGE impact in season 6. All the people who know about Gabriel are Natalie, Kagami's mother, Felix, Marinette, all the kwamis, possibly Kagami and Amelie, and most importantly, Lila. Even though she isn't confirmed to be season 6's villain, she will be necessary in season 6 in general since her presence is full of mysteries and lies. Lila is capable of using the information she has in the best/worst way, to make Adrien's and Marinette's life a living hell and getting what she wants (let's not forget she has actual proof of Gabriel when she got akumatized in season 5). Also, Chat Noir was missing in the final battle against Monarch but this was not due to lazy writing or the authors forgetting about Chat Noir, it actually is because Adrien knowing his father's true identity and motives is going to be a pretty big deal, something that you could not squeeze in this finale, it would have felt like a rush.
My point is that yes, season 5's finale is absolute garbage BUT ONLY if this was the series finale, wich it isn't. Even though the finale is objectively bad, the story could continue in a way that would make this season's finale make sense and more satisfying. Adrien knowing his father's true identity is obviously important and something that did not fit in this finale, that is why this specific storyline is something that has to come up in the next season and also why Chat Noir was not present in the finale and why Ladybug did not tell Adrien about his dad.

Well, you brought up the point that Gabriel akumatized a freaking baby, so yeah, he had no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
As for what happened at the end of Season 5, I do not think that it's the end of Gabriel Argrest. He does need to be remembered for his crimes as Hawkmoth/Monarch, not as a Hero who has a statue erected in his honor.
It's for this reason alone that I do not think that Hawkmoth is dead. I also firmly believe that the truthbomb that Marinette hides from Cat Noir will eventually lead to mistrust and untimately outright cause our Cat to wander over to the villain side.
You see the world we are in at this moment is roses and rainbows - at least with what is shown. But come Season 6, I'm sure we will find out that it's a very dark place.
And so, how do we fix this? How do we go back?How do we erase Gabriel's wish? Well - it's pretty simple. As stated from earlier, Ladybug is only limited by how much she allows herself be. This was a focal point when she first started making her talismans that would protect people from akumatization.
She has her Lucky Charm. I'm willing to bet you if anything that the story will allow her to go back and erase the wish made by Gabriel Argrest. But thereby rendering the whole relationship void. And then we will get the real finale, with Cat Noir/Ladybug fighting Monarch.
Well on the one hand I would like to see the better version of this finale in actually show. Not movie but on the other hand I hate characters espaping from consequences. Marinette did a bad thing so she should face a consequences and not rewind time so she could avoid consequences of her action. It's a hard choice.n

OK, let me stop you right there. No. Gabriel was not redeemed. He basically pulled a shadow Weaver where he basically just chose to end his life to evade the consequences.
The reason I say he was not redeemed is because of one single solitary thing that you’re overlooking my good person. He never thought that he was wrong. He was convinced he was right the entire time. He had been redeemed, he would have acknowledged that what he was doing was wrong, no point did he do this.
Marinette was basically emotionally blackmailed by him.
What actually happened was Marinette gave him one single final chance to turn around and stop, and what he didn’t response was he attacked her? He took the earrings in the ring, made his wish and was completely convinced that he was right the whole time.
And I feel like people complaining about this haven’t been paying attention to the series at all. Adrien couldn’t have been involved with this AT ALL.
Every time previously were Gabriel or Adrien learned about the truth of the others identity. It was immediately taken advantage of by Gabriel. He could not be part of the equation.
And there’s a number of other reasons why it’s probably in the best interest for Paris that people don’t know the truth about Gabriel.
1. The precarious situation of the butterfly miraculous.
2. Preventing Adrien from being akumatized (keep in mind, Marinette now knows that Adrian is a senti and him being akumatized is incredibly dangerous even without cat noir being in the equation. Were depending on what item gets a infected it could very well result in him dying.)
3. How about the fact that Adrien is the SOLE LIVING RELATIVE TO GABRIEL. A fact that if it was publicly known that if his dad was the magical terrorist that had been terrorizing the world for God knows how long: best case scenario would be a social pariah, and worst case scenario he would actually be in danger!
Holy fuck, why aren’t people thinking about this more?!
Seriously, how the hell do people look at this and seriously get, “oh Gabriel was redeemed” from this?!

Would’ve been more impactful IF Gabriel SHOWED he did care and try to be a good father to Adrian than showing us how he neglected him and never showed real parental love to him
