All the percentages were incorrect in one way or other ... starting with Windows (0:89) I worked out that the number is an average of all the years shown (2018 to 2023 inclusive). Windows is about right (60.83%) but where Windows was rounded UP to 61%, macOS (44.83%) was rounded DOWN to 44%, then Linux (actually 47%) was reported as 40% ... wtf! I just thought of something else too ... there's nothing to stop a programmer using MORE THAN ONE operating system =)
Take note that most Windows developers in enterprise scenarios get a laptop or desktop with Windows pre installed.
Not that that, but their company usually download a lot of protection programs and the like that are simply not available on Linux.
