Her shots are just so beautiful, the power only heard as the ball swishes through the net effortlessly and gracefully. The economy of her shooting style is so deceiving -because there is a quiet precision that has to happen in order to make these shots look so easy. What a prodigy.
She's a generational phenom, and has a God-given gift. I hope she sees that, cause I sure do.
I think she's the first one out of the gate for a new generation of female basketball players. "Get good and maybe somebody will pay you" has rang that dinner bell. Next year there will be two rookies like year. The year after five, and the year after that ten.
Sure, she might be gifted, but her mindset, work ethic, and game IQ are all off the charts.

They all worked very hard to get to the pinnacle of their sport, but athletes can be vastly different, and some just don't have the skills necessary no matter how hard they work. And for some, the skills produce greatness with less work than those who strive hard and never get that far. Your theory has holes in it, sir.
@@EGlideKid Yes, there is more than hard work. You also need a high iq, great mindset and good people around them. None of those are god given gifts, they are instilled from the people around you.
you are missing one of her most important skills which is her ability to pass and find the open person. That is what makes her game so exiting. Basketball has gotten boring with the run and gun offenses they all seem to use but she has brought it all back.

Before discovering CC, I had attended one or two local WNBA games (my former employers were part owners of the team and sent us employees to the game for free with the promise of food and drink), but had never watched a single game on TV or the internet and had never watched a ladies college game. Now? Can't get enough!!! especially if CC is playing.

I never enjoyed watching basketball, not NBA or WNBA. This lady drops long distant 3s, and so many of them get nothing but net. Just amazing. I would love to watch them play now.

My entire job was talking about CC coming to Albany and the excitement the game drew. Congratulations CC on All Star game. Never thought I'd say this new W and Fever fan. Honestly didn't know KP was a beast. Didn't even know aja she's going to be one of the best at the end of her career.

@@RIbigDave Not the same positions. Bird had better defense & actually hustle his rebound, caitlin grabs uncosted one because it seems she has an idea ofwhere the ball may go. More importantly Bird was a physical player that had a middle range & post up game.
The player i have in mind has: same position, size and down right matching stats in its first years even down to fga. 😀
People didn't watch women's basketball, until CC came into the league, because they didn't do anything extraordinary. We like men's basketball for the physically, and the dunks. Until the female version of Steph Curry came to the WNBA. Then it got interesting. It really doesn't matter about points, from layups. We didn't watch it before CC. She brings something extraordinary to the game. That's why we watch!

She's practiced the shot millions of times it's in grained. But she still has to get mentally in the grove as you can see sometimes only 4 or 5 go in out of 15 shots taken.
The mathematics area in her brain is superior high caliber. She can calculate the force and direction at a given distance like a guided missile. She and Steph Curry are freak of nature. CC can still get better as time passes. Exciting time for WNBA.

CC should be invited to the NBA 3-point contest next year. It would be amazing to see her go head-to-head with the male players.

She is literally the only reason I started glancing at WMBA. All the hate she has received has just been jealousy.

May be the best investment Nike ever made. Personally I like her ability to see the entire court and hit those pinpoint passes for assists. This helps her team mates look good, shows sportsmanship and extends her ability to put points on the board. Not only a shooter but a good qb.

Any videos on her shooting from the corners? Being a guard, most of her shots will come from the top of the key. Would like to see how she she shoots from the corner. WNBA coaches need to change their defensive schemes. Maybe more full court pressing and trapping to slow her down. Need to get her give up the ball, and see if her teammates can pick up the slack. Most great players will get their shots and points during a game. The goal should be to make her work harder for those shots. Also making her work harder on defense might slow her offensive game a bit. No cheap shot stuff, but the defenders have to really be dropped all over her as best they can. She's still given too much room to operate. I also have to give her credit on her acting skills. She's learned how to flop extremely well, lol!

She is a human computer weapons system that can calculate trajectory from just about anywhere on the court. I couldn't care less about the WNBA until CC showed up and now I'm a fan.
Just remember, before you start comparing her to Steve Curry, the rim is the same diameter in the WNBA and NBA, but the ball is smaller in the WNBA. It is a game of inches.
She’s good, I fully expect her shooting from deep to improve (34% right now)and her turn overs will go down. she will work on her ball handling and her teammates will realize they need to be ready because they might just get a pass thrown to them that they normally wouldn’t. Defense will improve with time but she isn’t on the floor for defense.
Aside from her basketball skills (which are awesome) she is full of grace and class, her personality and kindness to the fans is inspiring, she brings what the WNBA needs, they’d better start taking care of her!
Players Unlimited; In Iowa, Caitlin became God like! For all the reason your vid points to. Her comfort level at that stage was difficult to dislodge. She's gone on to Indiana is displaying much of her skills there. But it's felt she hasn't 'owned' her form quite yet, although, she's got nothing to be ashamed of! It's thought she's only going to get better, for sure. That's why one has to wonder why Players Unlimited uses her Iowa film so much???
