LUCK AT THE CUP's interview with Kent Desormeaux is very good. Kent has lots of interesting things to say about Fusaichi Pegasus and he's a great interview.
Anyone else have sons of FuPeg? I ride an 11yo OTTB gelding by FuPeg and out of Dubai Dream and he is very sensitive and even verges on aggressive. He has taken a strong dislike to several people and has bitten each of them several times, I know him too well to let my guard down enough for him to bite me. He dislikes being rugged, tacked up, patted, having his legs, belly or girth area touched and kicks out in all of these situations. He also bucks and pigroots under saddle though this is rare and not uncommon in any horse. That said, he does have a great worth ethic and is a fantastic low level jumping horse who really seems to like his work. He is just sensitive and quite reactive while you are on the ground with him, making him not the safest to have around. Naturally, I have done a lot of work to correct his issues and he is significantly calmer and less reactive than he was when I got him off the track and he has responded well to regular and consistent handling. I was just wondering whether anyone else had similar issues with FuPeg progeny (as FuPeg himself did have a reputation for being quite reactive)?
Chained To Wonderland I have a Roman Ruler (F.P. son) gelding that's the spitting image of Halo. He is similarly quirky, particularly in his stall. If he's eating grain you need to steer clear. Destroys blankets, doesn't mind tack though. Very aggressive in field, very combative. He does love a donkey though. Can kick the shortening out of a biscuit. Hates certain dogs. I've just started retraining, so I can't say much. He was in terrible shape when I got him. He's just learning to stand quietly while I mount and dismount. First lesson he did very well.
I have a sheep that is kin yo the sheep used to be around Pegasus to calm them down on stressful days. That’s crazy how we’re all connected to this $70 million dollar horse. 😮
@missskyliner33 I always forget FuPeg on the list of winners. That year I was going through a lot of health problems and my memory of 2000 is all over the place. He was a pretty stallion and I imagine his son is pretty as well.
If this is a race horse? why is everyone bragging about the event horses they have from him? Does it matter? is there just a transfer of athletic horses?
It’s a bragging right I guess. I rode a gelding who had Man Of War in his bloodline’s. Another stallion with Northern Dancer in his bloodlines, so… 🤷♀️ The owners told me and were proud of it.
Esta bien que valga mucho dinero pero es una cantidad desproporcional y tanta gente en el mundo viviendo necesidades ,nonono el mundo esta loco cada quien quiere ser mas rico y pensar en si mosmo y nunca ayudar a los demas
Baragee Yuvraj Wow, a bit naughty today huh?! By the way I googled it many times before but there's no official price. There are many different conjectures in the internet. So pls think before you affront somebody.
