The postseason moments at new Busch…2006 Clinching the title. 2011 Phillies Series. David Freese. Game 7 win in 2011. Waino’s complete game in 2013. The Dodgers series in 2013…Beltran’s walkoff, Marp’s triple off Kershaw, Game 7 beat down of Kershaw, and Craig’s obstruction walk-off in the series. Then…the Adams home run of Kershaw in 2014…the NLCS game with Oscar’s home run and then Wong’s walk-off. Yadi’s walk-off sac fly in 2019… It took time..but it’s finally grown on me as a special place. The house that Albert Built and Yadi protected. Where Waino shut it down.

I found it interesting he hit most of his career homers vs Astros... Maybe a world series match-up if Cardinals keep playing hot and we can see Albert add to his postseason total? Needs 10 all time to become #1 alltime in postseason homers and I'd bet hit hit at least 3 postseason homers

Zero. After TLR retired and Albert(most likely due to his wife) went to Cali, Matheny rode the decaying coattails of TLR's lineup. 2013 we got close but ultimately didn't deserve it. Looking back, Boston NEEDED that WS title to boost morale after the Boston Marathon Bombing that very spring. We got lucky to win Game 3 on a walk-off obstruction call. Otherwise, Boston has ALWAYS owned us in the pitching department.

For the record, I think the Cardinals did the right thing to not sign him for 10 years. They made a reasonable offer, but Pujols wanted more.
He was already on the decline when they let him go. They were smart to do so. The Cards made the playoffs seven times after he left including a WS appearance in 2013. The Angels made the playoffs once in ten seasons (2014) with Fat Albert. The Angels basically outbid themselves to get him. That's why they're still a crap organization more than ten years later.
I would say the Cardinals probably were a better team without Pujols during his time is LA. I know that may sound outrageous, but Albert would have been a huge burden on the payroll which would have limited several options for us. I hate to say that but Cardinals did the right thing and they did the right thing bringing him back this year. It's been magical to watch.
He is literally tied for the second most. His company is Babe Ruth, Jimmie Fox, Stan the Man, Mickey Mantle, and Frank Robinson. Only player to have more than those guys is Jim Thome with 13. So Pujols could likely tie and maybe break the record by the end of the season. Unlikely but still possible.
I'm surprised he has that many, because considering how good of a hitter he was I just assumed teams wouldn't pitch to him with the game on the line. It's probably why Barry Bonds doesn't have a ton of walk-off home runs, because other teams didn't pitch to him in those situations.
