I just can't believe I've gone all my 83 years of music loving life, especially with the clarinet, and only learned of him yesterday!!! Great clarinet player.
Proud that the other three musicians of Summit Reunion are more than just a rhythm section
and being British and still alive and playing , they confirm the continuing amalgamation over several decades of the American jazz heritage styles with their equally talented British counterparts ..
Still have an old cassette, recorded from a radiosation in Saint Louis. On that the Soorano Summit plays "Song of Songs". A beautiful and great performance. Thanks for posting this recording.
Dave Green on bass. Possibly the best British player.
Certainly for mainstream jazz like this. Seems a bit loud in the mix here, so it's a good thing he plays so well!
Thank you for posting this video. Another great version of black and blue by Bob Wilber and Kenny Davern.
By chance do you have other videos of them?
I've uploaded several videos on this channel of Bob Wilber and the New Generation Jazz band from 1996
The "unknown title" is Palestreena.
