Staff Bikes: Vikki's Honda Dominator

- Vikki's true love of her life, is her 1997 Honda Dominator (sorry Dutch). Sharing the same nickname as Vikki - Little Big Noise. It's not hard to work out why the bike carries the same nickname, especially if you make it to the end of the video.
Vikki first raced against this bike at the Malle Mile, and purchased it soon afterwards after falling in love with it. Now racing it herself, and more importantly winning all her races at Malle Mile this year!

In regard to customizing bikes, I really like the way you've broken away from the stuffy old mold of, "must be a Harley or classic old British bike", There are tons of great Honda's, Yamaha's, and other terrific bikes for a fantastic custom platform. Keep on building!

I had an FT 500 Honda Ascot, single cylinder with a straight header. It was loud. I loved that bike because it was so maneuverable and I love the torque of a single cylinder motorcycle. Your bike is a beauty.
That’s just awesome! I picked up my Dominator 1996 just last weekend. Only 25,000km on the clock!! Needs some TLC but took her out for a blast Sunday afternoon and was amazed at how nimble the chassis is! On really old, crappy Dunlop’s as well! Lots to do and change but not sure where I’m going to go with it. Your bike has given me so many ideas though.....

I live not too far outside of London so I would be well interested to know where you got the MOT for that bike - what with no front mudguard and silly exhaust?

Probably in the know so doesn’t get a jobs worth of an mot technician, or it was mot’d with the mudguard on and baffle in exhaust then removed afterwards. You shouldn’t bother looking at these types of bikes if that’s all your concerned with you wouldn’t like the scene anyway by the sounds of it grandad.
s k fair point, older classics get exceptions but I've switched mufflers, used dummy cats on my.TVR to get mot's. Everybody knows just nobody talks about.it.nudge nudge wink.

Hey guys! I have a question a question about the tank that Vikki used. She said that this is the tank of a honda cg 125 ( 1:06 ) . I have the Honda nx 250 and some dude told that if i try this I will have problem with the temperature of the bike. Has this dominator also problem with the cooling?

Wondering about which jetting mods has been done to the carburettor? Would be of great help if you could tell me :)
The jetting was done on a rolling road by Riverbank Motorcycles in East London. We don't have info on the jet sizes, but experience tells us that every custom bike is different, and once you swap the pipes and remove an airbox the only way to good fuelling and AF mix is on a rolling road.

I also would suggest that you post a blog-post or something, wtih details about the technical stuff! like the battery box, wiring, welds, tuning and so on! Would be magically good to have something to get inspired from. There are a lot of people building scramblers, and seeing how people have built theirs, is always very educational :)
