Thanks for sharing your moments RonBev. I enjoyed every single minute of your video. Thing about vacation videos is that, it makes you wanna take a vacation..lol. For me, as fun and exciting as exciting as cruises are, thing about them is, you don't have the time to absorb all that a stop has to offer you. It gives you a wrong impression of the beautiful islands, since you are not on your own pace, to enjoy all the island has. I would like to take a flight, from somewhere in Florida, straight to the Bimini island and spend a week, and slowly take it all in. Thanks for the upload RonBev. Hey from London-Ontario, Canada 🙂
Very cool, I was helping rebuild hurricane Andrew and went there via a friend’s boat and got to see it for half a day .. I thought it was really quaint and ate some great food.. great video wow it sure looks different than in 1993 . 😮
If you take the shuttle onto the island it will probably turn left toward Resorts World. You will see a very large golf cart parking lot/rental area on the right. I think it’s manned by numerous individuals who all want to rent to you. You really can’t miss it if you’re on the shuttle. That was the only rental place I saw. I don’t have a specific name.
Do you recall the place you rented your golf cart? Hoping to get one next week when we are there and worried about getting a dud! This was a beautiful video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! We don’t remember the name, but if you ride the shuttle from the port, it will go right by it. It’s next to Fisherman’s Village. It’s one huge parking lot with lots of carts and probably several different vendors all competing to get your business.
I went to Bimini the same year they opened and there was not very much to do. Also, resorts world had beautiful pools, chairs and overhangs and bars, but not the shopping and other things that I see here. I may have to go back 😄
Beautiful but I noticed no one was swimming and when our guy put his feet in the water you could hear him gas how cold it was 😂 Still pretty. Might want to go there someday
I noticed you said It had a great view of the pacific. I'm assuming you meant Atlantic ocean. How far away is the Stone structure They call bimini road in the ocean? Great video. Thanks for posting
If you’re asking, ‘Do you need a drivers license to hire a golf cart?’ we are not absolutely sure, but we do not think so. We do not believe they asked to see a drivers license.
I did monthly trips to to Bimini when i was a diving instructor starting back in the late 80's..We flew in using chartered Seaplanes from Miami and private planes from Ft Lauderdale executive airport..We flew into South Bimini most of the time and took the water taxi to North in the evenings to party..petty theft is all they had on the island, although it was the major point for drug runners with private jets to fly into and pick up their load...The US DEA/Navy was in control to patrol the waters and air space for drugs operations..Cigarette boats also ran the route and played cat and mouse...Sad to see the cruise lines are now stopping there...The island would be destroyed soon...
@@RonBevRetirement North Bimini is the larger Island,it was always busy with yachts and sea planes, lots of fishing tournaments.South Bimini is where the beautiful waters are,but now there is an expensive resort..I have not been back in almost 18 years..

You are so right! Several days are needed to really experience a place. Thanks so much for your nice comments!
Stunning! And such a fun adventure 😊
Thanks so much!

I wish we could’ve seen it back then. Thanks for your comment!
Love this!
Thanks so much!
I would have stayed at that beach as long as I could! So pretty!
It was!
Thank you for sharing. Your video is very helpful.
I’m glad! Thanks for watching.
Great video! Thank you for sharing your adventures. Just subscribed.
Welcome aboard!

You’re welcome!
Would love to know all the information on renting the golf cart. Where/price?
We paid $80. There were lots of golf carts to rent in a parking lot on the shuttle route from the ship. It’s hard to miss.
Our mistake: We accidentally said Pacific in the video when we meant Atlantic Ocean.
Who did you rent the golf carts from? We are headed there in a few weeks and want to tent one. Thanks 8

Exploring the island in a golf cart looks like so much fun! Apparently there is no ice cream on Bimini though 😢😂🍨🍦
😂 I bet there is! Isn’t there ice cream everywhere?
Did you reserve golf cart ahead of time? Do you know the name of the company? Thank you
No, we didn’t reserve the golf cart ahead of time. There is a whole parking lot full of golf carts and it’s right on the shuttle route from the ship.
Looks like the beaches on Queens Highway are the place to be.
That’s what we thought too!
I presume there are no rest rooms near the beaches on Queens highway.

It really was beautiful!

Oops!!! Thanks for the correction! I did mean the Atlantic! (I’m from the west coast.)
I don’t know how far away the Bimini Road is, only that it’s “near” North Bimini.
@@RonBevRetirement Thanks for the update
How much was the rental for golf cart ?
Do you remember the cost of the golf cart?
$80
THANKS FOR VIDIO DO NEED A CAR LICENSE TO HIRE A BUGGY

Most places are populated by locals 😂
😉
What can you expect in such small Island.

I have wondered how the locals feel about being overrun by so many people.

You complain for everything why you didn’t stop going there.
Just got back from there, enjoyed everything accept being rented a shit golf cart. Don't rent a cart from Roscoe.....
Sorry the golf cart was disappointing!
Beautiful but boring as hell!
Us or Bimini? 😀
@@RonBevRetirementNeither you or Bimini, the boring is him,Bimini looks very nice.
There is absolutely nothing on Bimini
I think it would help if you snorkeled or fished.
Are you sure you don’t need Glasses.
Love this!
